Not sure why some seem to only want to focus on the negatives and not the clear improvements he is making game on game. Interesting how the 'he needs to go in the gym' and 'he can't head the ball' argument is rapidly fading. Not suggesting he's the finished article at all but he's still young, he's improving and what's impressed me the most is his mental strength and self belief. No easy turning around the disastrous start he had at a club like this.

As his career progresses wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play DM role at times like City do with Stones.....

What do people expect from him? You know that Chiellini and Bonucci concede goals to shite teams too yeah? Do you expect Ramos and Varane to keep 30 clean sheets a season? No, because it's fecking ridiculous.

Solid game, but nothing extra. Really want him back to the right where he adds so much more for the attack. And that is what United had needed today.

He's showing composure these days, not sold on either of the partners we are giving him though as both shunt him to LCB where he isn't as effective bringing the ball out.

His consistency has been magnificent. Looks like the upgraded version of Blind in this position.

Solid, nothing spectacular just went about his job well which is what you want from a CB.

I do think he looks a lot more comfortable on the right hand side of defence and he just seems to play and influence the game more from there. Would like to see more of him there but Bailly always plays on the right.

It's nice how you just expect him to be solid nows.

I remember last season on the rare occasion he looked good I'd be shocked.

Now you can just assume he'll play well and then he plays well.

Fine.

I'd like to see him take more responsibility for building attacks. Instead kept it very simple.

Vardy gave him hell with that one awful sliding challenge, but wasn't too much distracted.

Looks like we have bought a good one.. He will only get better. Liked him with Bailly today.

He was good again. Needs a more aggressive partner though. Someone who can dominate the box when we defend set pieces. When the banis played along the ground or even crosses from open play he is good.

He is playing very, very well. It's him and one other, and I love to see players 'work' themselves into a starting XI. He is getting increasingly confident.. it's taking time, but he is doing well. He was tremendous today.. thought himself, Bailly and Shaw really limited Leicester, which is not easy.

Still settling in, and loads more to come , but from where he was a few months ago.. now he is beginning to look like a player.

He has been absolutely class since Solksjaer has arrived.

Remember his mistake away at Huddersfield last season? That just would not happen now. He has much more confidence and is looking class.

You can tell he has settled into the PL pace now. Imposed himself in defence. Vardy did a cultish tackle on him but he did not get rattled.

My greatest worry with him was his passivity, something that he is clearly working beyond now. All credit to him, hope that when a mistake comes there is no regression because he is now looking a like a fine signing who will continue to develop.

He looks calm as a cucumber these days. You can tell why the Benfica fans nicknamed him Iceman now.

Ole thinks lindelhof is a better passer of the ball than all of the centerbacks.

Really showing iceman like qualities. Doesn’t panic as much and is turning into a fine signing.

He is and comfortably.
No question, but it's not really saying much. Jones and Bailly have good moments on the ball but also terrible ones and their range is small and they rarely spot a chance to play a clever ball between the lines. Rojo is similar. Smalling we all know struggles on the ball.

I'll be confused if our CB setup next year isn't Lindelof and a full time partner, then the backup being Bailly as first choice and then Tuanzebe and one of Smalling or Jones (or less likely Rojo) sticking around for a final year in case of an injury crisis or Tuanzebe needing a Prem loan period first.

Again, i can't say how much i enjoy watching him playing that defence. Positioning, passing, composure, decisions...what a player.
Few months ago i wanted 2 new defenders but now i want only one to pair with him.

Very good game by Lindelof once more, him and Bailly did well I think except on set pieces. It's worrying that none of them is dominant enough aerially.
