I didn’t say that. Besides Fellaini, there have been many players who weren’t superstars or didn’t have the best technical skills, but nevertheless gave their all when they wore our shirt.

The whole scapegoat thing for Fellaini always seemed to be so bandwagon to me. Feck all the haters. Im going to miss the guy. His tenure only stained by association, not by the performance of the player himself etc. In the end its the coaches that decided to keep him and utilize him a certain way--and more often than not he stepped up to the plate. Despite the fact he was vilified he mostly stayed above it all and imho was a great ambassador of the shirt...save for the elbows of course. I wish there was a stat for critical/game winning goals in the dying moments of games. Surely he d rank right up there for our club.

I think managers misutilize him for his obvious height, and thats not Fellainis fault. He just wasnt very good with the ball at his feet thought but still a decent midfielder, and he seems a genuine nice guy. I wish him the best in his future

Agree, true he wasn't the most skilful but my god he put in a shift every time he played. Hope it works out for him and he enjoys the experience of China.

Sorry, but have you been on holiday for the last 5 year as the vast majority on here would say he has no ability whatsoever, and as for how traditionally United played their/our football it was always 4-4-2 borderline 4-2-4 but we moved away from that, and rightly so circa 2001.

And there's always a place nowadays in a 4-3-3 alongside the technicians for a "are you sure you're gonna try and run past me 'mate' in midfield" in none shall pass mode which Fellaini still does as well as anybody out there, and Fellaini with a broken leg would still have done a better job of it than Matic did at Leicester yesterday afternoon......

His team contained a skillful Brazilian, but more importantly, Pelle - and their tactic was to lump it up to him - which worked well against a much smaller Japanese team. He will fit like a glove in this team.
