Sad about Lukaku really. Is that all because of the world cup? He seemed forgot few football basics!

People here are too harsh on Lukaku. I thought he was decent. His first touch is actually ok apart from 1-2 times. Seems that's what everyone remember, rather the one when his touch free him from two defenders and created the third goal
Very right. I absolutely believe that he played very well. We are not playing to his strengths at all. And when he dinked for the third goal, it was amazing.

The person who was out of pace and strides was Alexis in my opinion. He missed two very easy chances

I thought Pogba (easy motm) and Herrera were excellent plus Shaw and Jones were good too.

Smalling delt with Mitrovic pretty well.

Even McTom did well when he came on!

Shame Sanchez didn't score a 4th as that really would have been perfection

Normal service is being resumed. Games we are expected to win we are now winning.
Ole will now be working out the best way to get at PSG. Jose would have been dithering on the best defensive formation.

I think he needs a pre-season to get back to a physique that he is comfortable with. He can then focus on how he can adapt his game to play in this system. He needs to learn how to play without his back to goal and become less of a target man. Unless, he is going to be used as the new Plan B since Fella has gone. That could be a useful tactic but...It's not something id like to see encouraged.

I didn't realize things had gotten so toxic at Fulham, the second half was a very "downed tools" performance from them and their fans. I thought we were slack in the first half but two bits of top quality from Martial and Pogba took the game in hand and we strolled through the second half, it was like a training session as Neville said.

Absolutely crucial game to win. They all are but today was about putting ourselves into contending for top 4.

Was shitting myself for the first few minutes but we grew and dominated the game. Ander and Pogs were excellent.

Just a humble question. Why is Lukaku Useless. I thought he played very well, considering we are not playing to his strengths at all. The turn and drop of shoulder for the third one was amazing.

Ranieri has only just arrived so why would they down tools? They can't have fallen out with him already, surely.

True. We need someone for plan B or against teams who are going to camp against us, and hence we are going to put crosses in. He'd be a much better option when we play against those teams instead of Rashford

Fulham started brightly but it lasted like a firecracker. United controlled the game throughout as Fulham went on to do some nasty kicking. This was Ole's 10th win out of 11, still unbeaten, still strong.

There was a concerned when Ole decided to start with Mata and Lukaku. Both didn't contribute much in build up or defensively. However, Fulham played so bad football that their badness eclisped some of ours.

- Pogba was fantastic. His goal from that difficult angle was joy to watch. he is heeding the advice of Ole to make those runs in the box. That is paying off handsomely for him and for united. Penalty well taken. However, goalkeepers are reading his direction correctly each time. Slightly worrying.
- Martial was superb too. His solo goal was goal of the season. Reminded me of that solo goal from Nistelrooy in 2003. Coincidently it was against Fulham too.
- Herrera is the general of the team. Guarding almost all of the pitch, yet not a single time looked out of position. Great game.
- Shaw is becoming more and more reliable. It is difficult to bully him, it is difficult to get ball out of his legs, and he links up with anybody pretty good.
- DDG, what to say. Another clean sheet, another great saves! consistent and reliable as ever. Mitrovic should not been on the pitch. Also DDG does not deserve yellow for that. Recollect world cup 2014 semi final brazil vs germany. There was similar bust up between Marcelo and Boateng. Refree just calmed them down and moved on. This refree however missed many yellow cards in the game and decided to show up towards to end. Not needed.
- Jones was immense today. Rock solid.
- Matic played well. He was there like a mountain. Received unncessary yellow though.

Dalot is a rookie. He is young so there is hope he will learn. But he can't be gambled for key matches.
Smalling, had okay game. Initially he was shakey but found his legs as Fulham settled to playing bad football
Mata had his usual game. Drifting center to right and vice versa. Didn't really contribute. Tried his fancy stuff he can't do and lost balls. Luckily that fancy stuff earned him penalty.
Lukaku was invisible today. Looks like he has lost his confidence. He doesn't move swiftly. He doesn't get involved defensively. He doesn't control the aerial ball. Heck, he can't even get under the ball. Wasted opportunity for him today.

Towards the end Ole brought Bailly. That made 3 CBs and 2 FBs. I think he was trying to see how we hang on in the dying minutes. This experiment will be useful against teams like PSG.

Congrats Ole for unbeaten run. Won MOTM award and killed the curse of defeat. May the force be with you for rest of the season and many more coming seasons with Man Utd.

Last but not least, how can I not mention away fans. They rocked the stadium today. Felt like home. Best away fans in the world.

Perfect game really, considering all the changes. The big players stepped up, Dalot and McTominay got some experience. Smalling and Jones showed that maybe they can be good back ups next season.

Sanchez did ok in his cameo but fluffed a great chance to score. Martial, Pogba and Herrera great. Matic good but wish he would have got a rest before PSG.

Mata and Lukaku need to leave. I feel bad for Mata that he has never been able to show his true quality for United in the post SAF era. I just feel embarrassed for Lukaku.

Seemed like the perfect game in the end as Fulham just bent over and let us do whatever we wanted as I don’t feel like we were really at it. 2nd half did become a practice game and we just casually went about controlling it. If we’d pushed we probably would have destroyed them but with PSG looming I would have expected more effort from those who would be hoping to force there way in. Looking at you Lukaku.

We have one of the best functioning midfields in world football at the moment. All three of them were brilliant today.
I waa going to say this. Seems if we have the three of them on then we can change attack and defenders around and still get a good result. We need Perrera or Mctominay to step up as backups.

Good review of match. However, I think you mean Ronaldo against Fulham in 07/08. It was against Fulham and it was second goal as well and it was a great solo run. However, whenever I see Martial run full on against teams, he reminds me so much of Thierry Henry .

Pogba is dominating this league at the moment. Having Ander and Matic obviously helps and bigger tests are to come in the following weeks but he's just bossing it against everyone.
