Pogba was sensational. Martial fantastic goal. I thought Lukaku had some decent moments. Mata good in the 2nd half. Phil Jones impressed though his attempt to clear a dangerous cross simply handed Babel a huge chance to score. Smalling did a decent job against Mitrovic. Shaw and Herrera worked hard. Matic awful first half, better 2nd half. Dalot a bit careless at times.

First five mins were shambolic but after that we kept their chances to a minimum until we were 3-0 up.

Herrera was my MoTM for me. Pogba a close second.

Ander was so economical with a tackle or pass. But each was important.
Our midfield is simply solid.

what i love about ander is that little flick scoop of the ball he does before someone comes and slides him or stretches to get him , how we scored the first goal today lovely bit of play

How do you spend £100 million on players and be as shit as Fulham, though? God, they're awful.

Every time I watch him, I realise how criminally we've underused him previously.

Our first goal.
indeed.

he will finish his playing days with us I'm sure
Doubt it. I get the impression he'd like a return to Spain at some point.
He's only 28/29 isn't he, so has plenty of years to do it.

Poor Jose. He could have done all of this and more. If only old evil old Woodward had backed him in the transfer market!

If Jose had been allowed to fullfil his vision of purging Martial and Pogba so he could sign Willian and some other 30 year old Chelsea/Porto castoff then today's result might have been even better

Alas...

If United were only 8 or 9 points off the top spot I'd say there was a very slim, outside chance of winning the League, as it is, 3rd place is the realistic target.

Need to say that despite the result and ease with which we won, I'm slightly worried that both Lukaku and Sanchez were both extremely average against what was the worst team we've seen this season.

There are still some people who "reserve judgment" until we have played stronger opposition - it's starting to get difficult as we now have played half the teams in the division

Sanchez was actually really good once he came on - should have scored yes but played really well and created a lot

Really good professional performance from the lads today. Felt they did what they needed to do without pushing themselves too hard.

Fortunately, we were able to get two goals in the first half and were able to take the second half quite easy.

Apart from Fulham's early chance, they never really created anything.

Comfortable win and another three points.

A good routine win. Easy work in the end. Was bit concerned with line up and it couldve been tougher than anticipated but we handled it well enough. Onwards and upwards.

Just a humble question. Why is Lukaku Useless. I thought he played very well, considering we are not playing to his strengths at all. The turn and drop of shoulder for the third one was amazing.
Yes. I agree. He is the type of player who needs to play regularly to get his touch right.

We would all like to see him playing like Rashford or Martial but he is a different type of player.
Some have written him off but if we get injuries we may have to rely on him. I hope not but that is the reality.

+ Solid performance, the quality of the goals, good mentality, DDG standing up vs Mitrovic.
- Still a lack of composure on the ball, especially when trying to keep possession and clearances, albeit improved. Smalling’s hairdo.

Martial and Pogba were both playing with a confidence bordering on arrogance, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing from your two best attacking players.
Absolutely not.

It was great to see them just take the piss. We've not had that since RVP and then Ronaldo (and Rooney to a degree) before then. Between them and Rashford we've got something seriously special brewing. Feels a little bit like the end of 2005/06 towards 2006/07 when Rooney and Ronaldo clicked and we went up a gear.

Just need Martial to take the selfish option a bit more but still retain that eye for sliding a pass through a small space after he's ran at people and he'll be unstoppable. He's already very, very good.

That is when Pogba is at his best. His touch is brilliant for a big player and his spacial awareness is excellent.

Now we need to see how they perform at the top level against PSG. Actually looking forward to it.

Really good. Really?
He was ok but not really good.
That's the sharpest I have seen him since joining United, I hope that is what is still to come. Should have scored, but overall his play was much better, let's hope he can look as sharp if he gets the chance against the bigger teams.

Mourinho actually convinced Ander that he needs to play like a shithouse. He's got great technical ability not just a great engine.

Fulham started brightly but it lasted like a firecracker. United controlled the game throughout as Fulham went on to do some nasty kicking. This was Ole's 10th win out of 11, still unbeaten, still strong.

There was a concerned when Ole decided to start with Mata and Lukaku. Both didn't contribute much in build up or defensively. However, Fulham played so bad football that their badness eclisped some of ours.

- Pogba was fantastic. His goal from that difficult angle was joy to watch. he is heeding the advice of Ole to make those runs in the box. That is paying off handsomely for him and for united. Penalty well taken. However, goalkeepers are reading his direction correctly each time. Slightly worrying.
- Martial was superb too. His solo goal was goal of the season. Reminded me of that solo goal from Nistelrooy in 2003. Coincidently it was against Fulham too.
- Herrera is the general of the team. Guarding almost all of the pitch, yet not a single time looked out of position. Great game.
- Shaw is becoming more and more reliable. It is difficult to bully him, it is difficult to get ball out of his legs, and he links up with anybody pretty good.
- DDG, what to say. Another clean sheet, another great saves! consistent and reliable as ever. Mitrovic should not been on the pitch. Also DDG does not deserve yellow for that. Recollect world cup 2014 semi final brazil vs germany. There was similar bust up between Marcelo and Boateng. Refree just calmed them down and moved on. This refree however missed many yellow cards in the game and decided to show up towards to end. Not needed.
- Jones was immense today. Rock solid.
- Matic played well. He was there like a mountain. Received unncessary yellow though.

Dalot is a rookie. He is young so there is hope he will learn. But he can't be gambled for key matches.
Smalling, had okay game. Initially he was shakey but found his legs as Fulham settled to playing bad football
Mata had his usual game. Drifting center to right and vice versa. Didn't really contribute. Tried his fancy stuff he can't do and lost balls. Luckily that fancy stuff earned him penalty.
Lukaku was invisible today. Looks like he has lost his confidence. He doesn't move swiftly. He doesn't get involved defensively. He doesn't control the aerial ball. Heck, he can't even get under the ball. Wasted opportunity for him today.

Towards the end Ole brought Bailly. That made 3 CBs and 2 FBs. I think he was trying to see how we hang on in the dying minutes. This experiment will be useful against teams like PSG.

Congrats Ole for unbeaten run. Won MOTM award and killed the curse of defeat. May the force be with you for rest of the season and many more coming seasons with Man Utd.

Last but not least, how can I not mention away fans. They rocked the stadium today. Felt like home. Best away fans in the world.
Great post!

I thought Dalot was very impressive today, more so going forwards than defending, and did make some poor defensive choices at times but he was composed, good work rate, very willing to go forward and provide support as well as just take a man on, great hope for him moving forwards.

I'm surprised Lukaku has scored so lowly, Martial scored a great goal but what many may have lost in the way it developed was that it was Lukaku's run that took defenders away and opened the space for Martial to attack. He did a solid job today did big Rom.

His run that drew the penalty was top drawer too.

First 10 mins they were on top but once we got a foothold of the game, there was only going to be one winner. Pogba and Martial were terrific and Herrera again, put in a hell of a shift in the midfield. Jones had his best game in a very long time as he was immense at the back and almost scored a great goal!

2nd half we just controlled it professionally to get the job done and into the top 4.

Fantastic result and performance! Bring on PSG!!!

Yeah, I thought dalot showed some good moments today, still raw but hopefully will keep improving. Shaw was very good on the other side, he should drive forward more often like today , he has the pace and strength.

Fulham were shite. We did what we had to do, and it was a pretty boring 2nd half because Fulham had nothing.
Good goals. PSG next. Cant wait!
