He was alright. Not great but certainly not poor. 5 or 6 out of 10.

Perfect game for him. Needs to start more of those.

Looks to have everything he'll need to be first choice RB in the not too distant future.

Him and Shaw just might be our starting FBs for the next ten years or so.

Funny reading the comments. It’s either A or Z, nothing in between.

Obviously has talent but doesn’t seem to be ready on a mental level. Needs to play with more intensity, anticipation and focus.

I thought he was poor. He gave away the ball needlessly and his positional sense was poor.

He will need time to get up to speed with the pace of the PL. Very difficult to judge him right now as he looks competent but seems to feel he has more time than he does. That he's able to be solid at his age his pretty good in itself.

Still learning his trade, and will get better with a few more games under his belt.

Of course he isnt ready, thats why Ashely got another year. We wont buy another RB this summer, nevermind a young one like Wan B. He is our long term plan. Have some faith in youth players.

Agree! I thought he was god awful today but he's young. Hope he learns from this.

Come on lad!

5/10. Some good stuff going forward, but poor positionally.

I'm happy for him to get games and develop. Young is still 1st choice despite being ok

He's 19 years old and is going to be inconsistent that's the end of it. Still I think he'll grow and grow here.

Jesus, some of you. "Throw him in the reserves". Caf keeps campaigning for us to sign younger players but shows no patience. He was decent. Lots of positives and somethings he will improve by playing and getting experience. I love his attitude. Doesn't shirk and is always positive.

How is wanting him to play more games at any level not showing any patience? You say he will improve with game time but then mock the idea that he should actually get more play time. He's no where near good enough defensively to be playing for the first team regularly. Why shouldn't he play for the reserves in between his rare first team starts?

Because he's not going to learn much there. We signed him from Porto's first team, not their reserves. As the season goes on and with games coming thick and fast, he's going to be playing more regularly. That is where he learns. Seems pointless telling him to play with people he's not training with.

He was ok today. Positive going forward but shakey defensively. Ole picked the right game to start, will only get better. Like what I see. Still our only FB who can cross a ball.

If this is what he's like when he's having an off day, I'm pretty happy with that. Easy to forget because he looks about 26 but he's only 19.

Of course he'll learn, he's been completely clueless defensively. He hardly even has a claim at being better defensively than O'Connor or Laird. He learns from every game at any level.

He played 6 games for Porto. You may as well try claim Angel Gomes is from our first team. McTominay has played more first team football and even he dropped back down for a game the other week.

He'll be playing with Angel, Chong, Mason, Jimmy Garner and others who train with the first team almost every day so what a shit point.

He's spent months on the sidelines playing like once a month where he could have got additional games in the reserves. Instead now he comes out of the cold for his first start every month and is consistently beat by the most basic movement on the outside.

His touch wasn't the best and he made some runs that left the defence too exposed at times. But he's a damn good raw talent, he's 19 and he's learning quickly. In an ideal world he'd have a 31 year old Evra (right back version) in front of him in the pecking order to learn from for a year or two whilst they share the duties, but I'm confident the kid will come good and we'll have ourselves a good full back for the next decade hopefully.

Is it just me or does he run out of breath every game? Seems like he is absolutely knackered after 65-70 minutes

Wasn’t a great game, but I was encouraged for the first time in a long time.

I've had high hopes for him this season. But seeing his performances recently he may be a later bloomer. Because he's been poor so far. Some basic mistakes.

If Lukaku is more agile, sharper, focused and can turn, he may get a goal from Dalot's passing, Lukaku was behind the defender, literally 1v1 when Dalot played balls in for him, Lukaku just slow reacted, unable to turn around, defenders get balls off him easily.

Dalot's passing is very good but can be inconsistently

You dont learn much playing for the reserves .
Especially when youve experienced first team football.
It will be a huge step backwards for him.

Slightly disappointing performance but not too bad. A bit careless at times, there was at least one poor clearance that led to a Fulham shot from distance and one or two failures to control the ball. An over-hit cross, as well as a decent low cross.

Not good enough, dreadful performance. Sloppy with basic stuff. Loan him out, buy a world class RB with Young as a backup.

Got burned several times on defense & isn't the best at linking up play. He's struggled even given the vast amount of space on the right. We need to address this or the better teams will take advantage of it just camping on the left side.

I think Dalot is a good prospect who would improve with game time ,but one thing I am disappointed with is his crossing when he played earlier in the season he was putting some good early crosses but now he is just doing poor Young's impression he has regressed a lot in that department .

Things to remember:
He's 19.
Will keep learning the more he plays. The whole 'late bloomer' literally doesn't make any sense. That's for people like Lingard who are 25+.
Attacking wise he is great to have.
Defensive wise he will need to get better against bigger teams that will attack us too.

Overall not bad, keep at it and he'll get better

What we need is super talents who can deliver from day one, and when he can't he can join the rest in Turkey or China. Is this what we expect from the greatest team in the world?

Wait. I can't tell if you are being serious, I can't tell. I assumed wrong yesterday in similar instance so I'd have I guess you are being satiric, right?

I thought he did alright

I don't think he's quite ready but we can't expect him to be at 19 in a new league and new country. I'm excited about him for the future.

Didn't we just win the game 3-0?

Dalot was fine. Was he excellent? Obviously no. But saw enough for us to be patient with him and give him time to develop. We'd never have had a class of 92 if some of you lot had your way
