Extend his contract ASAP.
He's been the best player in the league the past month or so.

Honestly, if this were an u18 game we would be saying its time to move up an age group, he's just too physically dominant and he needs to challenge himself. It’s almost laughable how easy he finds it at times to bully players. He’s so big and strong yet so technical at the same time.
Can’t believe people on here wanted rid a few months ago. Laughable.
Agreed. It’s men v boys.Honestly, if this were an u18 game we would be saying its time to move up an age group, he's just too physically dominant and he needs to challenge himself.
I've never seen anything like this. He's like a Zidane and Vieria rolled into one.
yep...Disgrace that there’s no chant for Pogba. We should be revering him. Whatever stance that is from our fans, I’m guessing something to do with him going against fergie and going to juve, it needs to end. They need to make up a chant
These people still exist on here. They're just much, much less vocal now.I don't blame the people that turned on him.
Mourinho successfully turned fans against Casillas (imagine), Hazard, Ronaldo, Ramos,. Terry. The man can turn fans against their own mothers.
There are fans on twitter still moaning about how the players and club shafted Mourinho.
He may well be the best player in the league and I’m so happy he’s doing so well, but we should look for more than a month or even two months of good form before we start making long term decisions......Extend his contract ASAP.

I see your point and agree to an extent, was just enjoying a great performance and those who wanted him out where blinded by Jose words. The point scoring is justified. Just how many had turned on him towards the end of mourinhos reign and anyone who tried to defend pogba was called embarrassing etc. Many worser players this season didn't come for that abuse and vitriol that was aimed towards Pogba. Even though he was having perfectly decent season to that point.
Those fans that wanted him out will just have to eat the humble pie .I'm sorry
Some interesting logic thereI can’t believe how good he has been since Mourinho was sacked. I genuinely had no idea he could be this good. I feel totally vindicated in the stick I gave him on this forum earlier in the season. The fact that he is this good now makes it all the more incomprehensible that could have been so shockingly bad on a regular basis for us. I mean feck the manager, what about professional pride, why play like that?

Just imagine if we were stuck with Mourinho and his anti-football style, and sold Pogba to Barca or Madrid.
Then he's doing what he's doing right now week in week out on that white shirt, while we stuck watching the Fellaini's and Lukaku's and (some) matchgoers booing Martial as the next in line.
He's always been a great player, but I think two things haven't helped him under Jose - 1) Playing as a deep lying midfielder, when his skillset is best further forward 2) Getting publicly thrown under the bus by Jose, from getting stripped of the captaincy to being called a virus etc.I can’t believe how good he has been since Mourinho was sacked. And now we are playing great football, winning games, and seeing happy face in players.
He really wasn't shockingly bad. Hes been at the heart of all the good things we did for 2 years under the toxic one- this season included.I can’t believe how good he has been since Mourinho was sacked. Messi hasn't retired.Best player in the world right now?
He's been in excellent form. Not just good form.He may well be the best player in the league and I’m so happy he’s doing so well, but we should look for more than a month or even two months of good form before we start making long term decisions......
They would have booed Martial all the way out of the club. Cheered for Perisic/Willian’s arrival, and then when Mourinho still underperformed, would turn their attention to whoever Mourinho labelled as the newest target to justify his failure.Just imagine if we were stuck with Mourinho and his anti-football style, and sold Pogba to Barca or Madrid.
Then he's doing what he's doing right now week in week out on that white shirt, while we stuck watching the Fellaini's and Lukaku's and (some) matchgoers booing Martial as the next in line.
Thank goodness, the football god hasn't forsaken us.
It’s good that we have threadmarks for each game. Go through all the pre-Ole games and just look at the posts on the first page of each. Perhaps you, and some others, will be reminded that he had many great games even then. Contrary to current narrative, his season didn’t start December 19th. Not did Lindelöf, Martial or Rashford’s for that matter. All had played well prior to Jose leaving.I can’t believe how good he has been since Mourinho was sacked. I genuinely had no idea he could be this good. I feel totally vindicated in the stick I gave him on this forum earlier in the season. Maybe I’m in the minority but I thought he was excellent in the start of the season too.I can’t believe how good he has been since Mourinho was sacked. I genuinely had no idea he could be this good. That can happen if certain set of supporters buy too much into manager bollocks, there has always been a bit of cult surrounding him wherever he's gone. It has happened at Madrid, where he convinced their fans Ramos, Casillas, etc. are monsters (well Casillas certainly was) but it came to the point they were happy to see them gone. Same thing at Chelsea, he convinced, Costa, Fabregas and Hazard are rats and need be sold. Chelsea fans were also okay with it. At United, he convinced few Rashford wasn't a natural striker, Pogba was a virus, Martial lacks the mentality etc. and good amount of posters bought into it.funny but it wasn't just him. Actual match going, smart United fans had turned on him as well.
Messi is still playing at an absurd level and Ronaldo has been doing the business for Juve too. He's nowhere near yet, let's not get carried away.Best player in the world right now?
Problem between him and Mourinho was of trust, he was never going to allow a player to get better of him. When Mourinho was sacked there a chorus of "nowhere to hide now" for players like Pogba. And boy, has he responded in style.
Thing is, France was a unique situation. It was easily the most talented team at the WC and was, obviously, a cup competition. So Pogba could sit back in a two. And even though he didn't bomb forward he had Kante and Matuidi also helping win midfield battles. But the team was better on paper against every opponent, with loads of quality behind and ahead of him.
In the long term, though, you cannot play Pogba in such a conservative role. The PL is not a cup competition and we don't have the luxury to be able to play one of the most gifted attacking midfielders in such deep areas.
And even disregarding position and such semantics, Pogba has been really outstanding under Ole. He is no longer being held back by the manager but aided by him. I'm sure he'll still have poor games and missteps but if a player this good is being benched something is seriously fecked up.
Of course he was.Maybe I’m in the minority but I thought he was excellent in the start of the season too.
You're not.Maybe I’m in the minority but I thought he was excellent in the start of the season too.
Feck you for posting the gist of my message in a much better way than I did... and right above mine to bootOf course he was.
Pogba started the season as, along with Shaw, our best player for the first month or so. Then he had a poor period, which to be fair did include one absolutely terrible game that he should get criticism for. Then he came good and was, along with Martial this time, again our best player for a while. The two of them, arguably the two most hurt and criticised by Mourinho, were the two who basically saved his job at a time it appeared he was about to be sacked. Then Pogba had another poor period, which once again did include one absolutely terrible match.
That was the timeline this season under Mourinho. Anybody who claims otherwise, either to make out Pogba was poor all season or that he wasn't poor at all, is letting bias get in the way of reality.
He was inconsistent, but no more so than any other player we have. Indeed, the fact that he had those two great periods meant he was ahead of anybody else overall, as we didn't have any other player at the time who had been good as much as he had. But when players are unhappy and mismanaged, surrounded by other unhappy players who aren't playing well, and the team as a whole is being put out with poor line-ups and poor tactical decisions, it's not exactly surprising that they are inconsistent.
Feck you for posting the gist of my message in a much better way than I did... and right above mine to boot :feck you:
Au contraire, everything makes sense as to why he was poor in some games. I completely disagree with your assessment of him being shockingly bad on a regular basis. That's just rewriting history. @MadDogg just made a very good post about it.I can’t believe how good he has been since Mourinho was sacked. I genuinely had no idea he could be this good. They bounce off him so easily. What impresses me so much is his passing when closed down, at times it's like "wtf did he just do". I mean some players I can "get" the idea behind their actions but Pogba belongs in a very special category of players who makes you go "wtf" with their passing. It’s almost laughable how easy he finds it at times to bully players. He’s so big and strong yet so technical at the same time.

I have a Ghanaian friend here in Atlanta who fits this discription.I don't blame the people that turned on him.

He's basically been world class since he's been 20 oddMessi hasn't retired.
In any case slow down. He is clearly one of the form players. Let's see him do this for an extended period of time before we title him best player in world.
