Sometimes being an egotistical tit can get you places, aka Ronaldo (Due to the immense amount of work which he does to get to the top level) and sometimes you're just an egotistical tit. Hazard is the latter. He's a great player but he has never reached the heights of the top echelon of players in the past decade because he just doesn't seem to have the consistency for it. Every single year we hear pundits and fans alike saying "This year is when he steps up"...well time has run out cause he's 28 now and the type of player he is, he won't have that long left. I reckon he will probably leave for Madrid, have a couple of games where he destroys a few of the little teams and then fails to show up in the ones which matter.

I personally hope Chelsea are really angry with Hazard, and he decides to stop playing. Especially when it comes to our FA cup tie.

Will be interesting to see how he does there, if he does go. I get the feeling he won't handle the pressure particularly well and them feckers will probably be booing him if he hasn't scored a hattrick 45 mins in to his debut, lets see how he handles that. I think he finds the comfort zone at Chelsea much easier.

I still think Madrid will go for Dybala, Neymar or Mbappe as their "big" summer signing. And remain with my belief that he will stay, but if he does go, I can see a scenario where we get Isco in the deal and Kovacic becomes permanent

He isn't the type to kick up a fuss as confirmed by himself and Granovskaia won't let him go for cheap, she will make whoever the interested party are pay a huge fee, or walk away.

And as said i dont think Hazard is a priority, Madrid definitely aren't making the sort of glances at him they did with Bale etc; and therefore Madrid won't go overboard in their potential bid. So thats why i think he is more likely to stay.

He claims to want to show us utmost respect and the club, so to then announce a "decision has been made, i know what im doing", and follow it up with "thanks im off" is not the most respectful way to go about it.

Him leaving might do Chelsea some good. They rely on him too much, maybe they'll be forced to re-develop their attack?

 Sure you wished ManUtd still had Ronaldo and SAF isn't it?
Definitely not Sir Alex. Was for sure glad to see him retire, although the legend of that man only grows as time goes on. (If that's even possible considering he was already the GOAT upon retirement) He was a manager though so I think its slightly different

However I was slightly sad to see Ronaldo leave United and the EPL. This, despite United winning 3 straight league titles on the spin with Chelsea finishing 2nd two of those 3 times. But even if I wasn't sad, I never actively wished for him to leave. I just find it bizarre for United fans, in particular, to actively hope that he leaves simply because United is perhaps the biggest global powerhouse team on the planet. Their stature in the game dictates that they should be aiming to have the strongest team irrespective of who plays for Chelsea.

This time He seems a priority for Madrid. As a fan I hope that much more than Dybala.
All his statements are on the same line and I think he could make a decision in favor of Chelsea if Madrid had clearly ruled him out, which is not the case.
It is complicated to include Isco in the deal, especially for the duration of the contract of both.
For me the ideal scenario would be Kovacic + money

Honestly don't care what this guy says. World-class player but he's missed his chance to go to a top club. Doubt RM will take him now

I do hope he goes.
Obviously it weakens Chelsea of their best player, and I'm sick of how often he spends sat on his ass per game

Hazard leaving would be an absolute disaster for Chelsea. Akin to Messi leaving Barcelona.

Don't understand why he's so hated here. Seems like a geniuinely nice guy, gets constantly fouled all game yet never makes a fuss about, incredibly unselfish. You can tell he just loves playing football. Would be a huge loss for the Premier League.

Residual hatred from when he chose Chelsea over us most likely. He's a fantastic player and I was gutted when we missed out on him. Sure he likes his drama, but at least he has the skill to back it up unlike other players who make just as big of a fuss.

I really can't see why Real Madrid would want Hazard.....

1) They have great young players with Vinicius + Asensio.
2) Chelsea will probably still want 70m for Hazard and that is a lot of money which should they rather spend for replacements in the next 24 months for Ramos, Modric, Benzema, Bale and Kroos.

Indeed he gets hacked down so bad game after game. I actually believe his managers let him down in that sense. Mourinho was the only one to talk about this I believe.

They'd be getting a worse player, so I don't see how they would.

Unless you think Neymar is screwed after his latest injury.
I'm just not a fan of players of the character of Neymar and think Hazard is a better team player - paying him 500k a week and you still don't really see him as a person who is 100% committed

I'd put Hazard and Neymar in the same category of player

He can't want to stay surely? Will have another manager again next season if he stays and at this point, seem far off challenging seriously again. He's done everything at Chelsea and at Madrid (assume them) are probably going to build their team around him as the star attacker

I don't know why people don't rate Hazard more highly. He's been the best player in the league or thereabouts for a while now. He's also got it all in his locker; he can score key goals and create match-winning assists but he can also be hard to shake off the ball much like early days Messi at RW. He's central to his team's success at both club and international level. He's not a 20 goal a season kind of player, but that's not necessarily his role. I think he's a marginally better player than the likes of Neymar and de Bruyne.

There's no comparison for me. Neymar is a tier above him.

Some good points.
But whats the other possible Club in the round as Hazards next Club?
I thought it was all the time about Madrid or staying?

I cant see a major club like Real Madrid who are desperate for success year in year out would want to pay big bucks for a talented yet mentally apathetic individual like Hazard.

I don't think he will play for any other club in England.

Juventus: Unlikely

PSG: He has already said that he wouldn't move to them

Bayern Munich: Unlikely because the Bundesliga will be probably a bit boring for him, Hudson-Odoi is their man transfer target for the left wing and Bayern Munich must replace many older players in the next 24 months (Lewandowski, Robben, Boateng, Hummels, Javi Martinez & Ribery).

So maybe maybe Barca if Suarez or Dembele would leave the club.

I will not have this nonsense about him downing tools again. Does this all stem from one bad season in 15/16 where he was never really at 100% due to injuries and pain? The guy is pretty much a model professional. Who cares if he gives an interview every now and then. What is more important is what he does on the pitch. When I watch him I see someone who always tries his hardest regardless of the match is going. He never makes a meal of things or rolls around on the floor despite getting fouled more than any other player. Just gets up and plays on. He absolutely ran his socks off again tonight as he always does. I think if Chelsea had a few more players with his desire on the pitch they'd be in a better situation right now. They would be screwed without him.

The only player they had that looked like hurting us. Absolute quality, will be glad when he leaves Chelsea.

Spot on! People are talking nonsense when they accuse him things like that. It's also for this very reason that you don't see many Chelsea fans angered by his tendency to flirt: he's always given everything on the pitch. When things are not going well for the team managers keep trying to play him as a false striker as well (despite the team having players more befitting that role like Pedro) which doesn't help.

Also his managers let him down by not putting pressure on referees on the constant fouling he gets (whatever difference that could make). I believe only Mourinho tried to do that. I don't think I've seen anyone that gets fouled like that in European leagues (maybe Neymar is close?). He's constantly getting hacked down.

He has downed tools in the past several times to get managers sacked.

However, during all these seasons he loves playing against United.. cnut.

Whilst he was Chelsea's only real threat all night, I still though he was the main culprit for slowing down their play.

Perfect replacement for Ribery at Bayern
He's obviously a class player but couldn't help thinking tonight his endless dribbles and messing about did give our defence time to get back in place quite a few times
