He sounds like a complete twat.
Would slot in nicely then :smirk: I don't know if a Pogba-Rabiot duo would work though, both would want to play a bit higher up the pitch.

I was so relieved that we don't get lined to Bale anymore but there you go.

Refused to be stand by for France, frozen out by PSG... his attitude stinks.
The France thing is a bit of a disgrace, but I think he's frozen out by PSG purely because he doesn't want to sign a new deal. Which is them cutting their nose off to spite their face.

PSG and Juventus would tell us to do one, whilst Real would probably snap our hands off for the £100m we'd likely offer them.

The thought of us even considering Bale would just tell me that we've not learnt from any of our mistakes.
Yeah, none of them address a real deficiency the way the team is currently set up & playing. The Rabiot rumor makes more sense.

We can give Juve Lukaku/Alexis as a sweetener
How about someone on the right wing who is even vaguely a right winger instead?

Overrated. Interchanging front three with quality players is more important than hugging the line. FBs can provide the width, with the attackers and CMs too at times if needed

I meant with the transfer of Jan Fiete Arp, what does money have to do with his transfer? It's not as if Bayern paid an amount no other club would match.
ok money in this instance maybe didn't play a factor, not too sure though, it is Bayern the most atractive proposition in Bundesliga, many players let run their contracts and move to Bayern in a free. At that point other teams have the same chance to sign those players? or players might think they will have a better contract with more money and a chance to win that Bundesliga year after year. Not much of a choice

Always liked Rabiot. He’d be a good signing I think. Sancho would be the dream move in the summer for our right wing.

We should be targeting the big players even if there isn’t any chance of it. But Bale doesn’t fit in the same category as Neymar and Dybala.
Hasn't Dybala been below par this year? Only "big" player there is Neymar.

Would love someone like Mbappe or Sancho to be honest.

Dybala has had a down year, I think Juve have been trying to play him on the right wing, and it hasn't worked out, plus he doesn't seem to get along with Allegri. But I still think we should go in for him, it would be different for him on our right wing, under Ole. We should buy low on him.

Take the lengthy discussions to the relevant threads lads. This isn't the thread for it.

Sancho most realistic and probably the best fit for the team Ole is building.

Can’t see PSG ever selling us Mbappe or Neymar.

Sancho is actually a RW so I’d take him over Dybala based on the position we need sorted.

Whoever is still genuinely interested in Bale, needs their head checked.

- His calf muscle problems persist; he's missed a month this season again and we're only now entering the busy end.
- He's on ~600k pw which would be a huge pain in the backside when we get to renew contracts. If he fails to spark, we got another Sanchez situation on our hands.
- Whilst technically a great player with some amazing performances, he's struggled for consistency pre and post Ronaldo-era and has failed to become the main man and fulfil expectations.
- He's turned us down on any given opportunity.

Come on Mike, don't be a killjoy.
He still has several good years of football and you know that he is precise at important moments.
Expensive? We free you from Rashford, you can include him if you want.

Spot on. This could have been posted at any time in the last 2-3 years and it would have been just as spot on.

Even if it was Euros, it's still not that must less that he £ equivalent.

No wonder Arsenal told him to feck off.

And how come Juventus seem to have unlimited funds anyway?
If true, this can have a massive effect on the rest of contracts at Juve. I am more inclined to think that he has a nice signing bonus which bbc included in his wages.
