One of the best, which makes his cheating and prickishness a great shame.
Indeed he was. Lots of scuttlebutt about him getting pushed out by pep. Would have been the most ridiculous thing pep has ever done. Jesus getting injured was blessing for pep.I swear Pep was trying to replace him with Jesus, until Jesus got injured. Didnt he get dropped around the time Jesus came in?
Anyway, it always seems obvious hes gonna score against us.
No.Better than Henry.
For me he's the best outright striker the PL has ever seen. His goalscoring ratio is extraordinary. He's top of the PL chart for goals and assists, yet rarely spoken about as the best in the league.
Absolutely monstrous player who has delivered year after year for City.
An absolute travesty that he has never won Player of the Year.
I can see it, but for the era and their contemporaries Henry for me.For me he's the best outright striker the PL has ever seen. His goalscoring ratio is extraordinary.
Never saw Henry as an outright striker, that's why i phrased it that way. Hard to argue against him otherwise.I can see it, but for the era and their contempoaries Henry for me.
Interesting stats. OT accuracy for Rashford compared to others is not really different (he might have scored just 3 more goals if he had an accuracy of 45%) but his goals/match and total shots in itself is quite low (either he is isn't starting matches (per minute stats would help)) or he is not as composed as the top strikers and hence even the OT shots are saved. Do you have the stats at a per minute basis?Really is a stand out striker, him and Kane a step above everyone else in the PL. Really are the benchmark and both have proven it over an extended period of time now.
I compiled the stats for a Rashford comparison, but it highlights why Aguero(and Kane) are a level above.

I hear this a lot, along with David Silva & FernandinhoHe weirdly never gets the praise that he deserves.
You can get minutes played from transfermarkt i believe, prem doesnt provide it.Interesting stats. He absolutely is one of the best pressers in the team this season. His knee operation has fixed that. He also drops off more in away games this season, into like a false 9 position especially when the inverted wingers play (Mahrez and Sterling).Aguero rarely scores in away league games any more and doesn't contribute enough to their pressing game. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't finish the season as a regular starter away from home.
Fixed.Dr Cugat's injections have fixed that.
You can get an injection that does knee surgery? Interesting...Fixed.
He didn't score vs Wolves, Wham and Arsenal too. That makes it 5 out of 6 away league games this season. That's simply not good. Besides, he was among the unimpressive City players vs Liverpool and Spurs. Against Hoffenheim he was quite wasteful, IIRC.He's gone a grand total of 3 away league games without a goal two of which were Spurs and Liverpool (he never scores at Anfield).
We'll see how that works out...He didn't score vs Wolves, Wham and Arsenal too. That makes it 5 out of 6 away league games this season. That's simply not good. Besides, he was among the unimpressive City players vs Liverpool and Spurs. Against Hoffenheim he was quite wasteful, IIRC.
My prediction is that he won't finish the season as your main striker. Guardiola would rather play Sterling in the middle, especially away from home.
More importantly why did he end up at City and not United. He came to City with a top quality scoring record. He's top of the PL chart for goals and assists, yet rarely spoken about as the best in the league.
Absolutely monstrous player who has delivered year after year for City.
An absolute travesty that he has never won Player of the Year.
You can’t make those conclusions based on only a few games, and we all know City don’t have problems scoring goals from all angles. The problem comes if they lose games or struggle to create chances. Aguero is very important for City, both as a goalscorer, assist-maker or with build-ups. City work room and channels more than any other team, and their style would never be great if the striker isn’t helping out or stands still like ours. In certain games he can score four, in others he can have three assists. Versatility. He didn't score vs Wolves, Wham and Arsenal too. That makes it 5 out of 6 away league games this season. That's simply not good. Besides, he was among the unimpressive City players vs Liverpool and Spurs. Against Hoffenheim he was quite wasteful, IIRC.

I’m not one to hold a grudge but ever since he scored that goal against QPR I have always thought that there is a T missing from his shirt.God I hate that he plays for City. He's damn good.
Knows there's work to do.Just seen Ole on the telly watching the game.
First time I’ve seen him not smiling since he re joined us.
Hopefully he can finally get 30 goals in the league season, and fire City to the title.Potential PFA player of the year? This has certainly been his best season in years
Aye, I was just thinking that. No other stand out candidates and he's probably due some official individual recognition given he's one of the best strikers in PL history.Potential PFA player of the year? This has certainly been his best season in years
