Think it's more the fact that Tottenham don't have the bottle to win the league and everyone knows that, including the fans. The numbers don't matter, you aren't going to win it so its silly when the pundits mention Spurs int he title race
Nobody has the bottle to do anything until hey presto, they do it.

Right, so the facts don't matter, the fact that in the past we've been perceived to bottle it matters, and regardless of where we are the pundits shouldn't talk about it just because we're Spurs. That sounds totally reasonable and makes sense.

None of the pundits have us as a favourite, the vast majority of the talk is Liverpool vs City with Spurs having an outside shot. That's a fair, rational analysis of the current situation .. we're an afterthought by pundits.

When City do things like the Madness number, it really is small-time cockiness. Any modicum of admiration one might have goes straight in the bin. They’re nouveau riche gobshites.

I wonder what song they had lined up that day they were to beat us and win the title?
Its so painfully cringe-inducing. No other 'big' team in the country would do that.

It’s a wind up to Chelsea who blare it out every time they get any result against a big side, don’t get why it would bother anyone except a Chelsea fan and even they laugh about it. I’ve been to Old Trafford when they’ve locked rival fans in after the game and put on “always look on the bright side of life” it’s just part of it.

Not as much as when we wipe the floor with them next week.
I'm cautious on that, I see a lot of people getting a bit gungho on it, but make no mistake it'll be our hardest game for months.

Chelsea GD +16, one less than United's :)
It's been an incredible turnaround goals wise. Chelsea losing 4-0 to Bournie, 6-0 today, and us winning a string of games has almost made a season's difference in a month.

I know why the song was used, but it is just Chelsea. I don’t recall Always Look on the Bridge Side of Life being used to wind up oppos when I go to OT. We adopted it before success and it was used against us by the Dippers in 92. It’s like “Who the feck are Man United?”

Excitement more than confidence.
Gutted i'm missing it, as doing a half marathon in the morning down south.

However, it could be glorious if both go well... happened in the Juanfield 2-1 win in similar circumstances a few years back

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, speaking to Sky Sports: "At the moment I am not able to explain. during the week my feeling was good during training. Maybe the goal we concede after three minutes it was difficult to play. It was difficult not to give them spaces. We were in trouble. I am not able to understand.

"We made a lot of mistakes against the wrong opponents. They played fantastic football and we made a lot of mistakes. We wanted to press them at the beginning of the action but the plan was completely ruined because we concede after three minutes.

"I think the big difference between the two teams was the intensity of pressing. They pressed really well and we were not able to do it. We were not able to react in the right way. We were not able to stay in the match.

"At the moment we have a big problem away. The beginning of the season we were better away than at home. But everything has changed in the last month. We need to understand.

"It is right. I am in charge of the team so it is right [that he faces pressure]. You will have to ask the club [if there will be discussions about his future]."

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, speaking to BBC Sport: "My feeling this week was really good. It was good during training and the technical meeting and the warm-up. The goal after three minutes made it very difficult to play against these opponents, who played fantastic football. The motivation today was good. We were not able to stay in the match and react later.

"I have to analyse the match and what happened. Maybe we were a little bit unlucky but we had to adapt. First of all I want to see it alone and then I will decide."

Don’t understand why it would bother you city using it then if you understand? Yeah when away fans were locked in used to be played after the usual playlist they used. Also played “this is how it feels” when they beat city back in the day and the city fans were locked in.

Yes a 9 goal swing in one weekend is almost as good as another point.

Mistakes? That would imply they were somewhat unlucky.

It was total embarrassment. They never put a foot in anywhere and looked like they stopped trying.

Spurs are not winning the PL

Forget what your points tally is vs City and Liverpool, Spurs are not winning it
Tbf they've been constantly grinding out the results with a threadbare squad and by the time they play City and Liverpool, Alli and Kane should be back and fresh for the run-in. Admittedly it's a long shot but right now there's zero pressure on them, and that's just the way they like it. If they carry on picking up the points and are within 3 points, I wouldn't rule them out at all...

I’m guessing you didn’t watch the game then? But you are probably of the opinion Spurs were shite?
Didn't watch and haven't expressed an opinion about spurs. Sort of irrelevant when city have smashed Chelsea for six

They're not in a title race.
They always do this. Drill the wins until they could achieve something and then crumble.

Pretty much feel City’s impressive demolition of Chelsea was enough. just didn’t warrant it. Not like proper rivals. We’ll just, quite rightly, have to agree to disaBlah blah blah
