We're not only playing for top 4, we're playing to diminish their chances of winning the league. That has to be extra motivation for Ole and the players. I never thought we'd be in this position 2 months ago. Football is fecking nuts.
Liverpool game is MASSIVE. Two birds with one stone that one.

Chelsea sack Sarri and this gets even tighter I think, Chelsea love a caretaker manager bounce.
They will give him at least the Europa League ties, the League Cup Final, the FA Cup 5th Round, and the Spurs game at Stamford Bridge. If he loses the majority of those, I can't see him staying. They have a bit of a 'nicer' run after that with Fulham, Wolves, Everton, Cardiff and West Ham. They'd be hoping for an 'Ole effect' going into a run of good fixtures to build momentum. I don't think they will rip up the book during huge cup games and a big derby vs. Spurs, a bit like we didn't sack José before Liverpool away.

We have better players and play better football than both Chelsea and Arsenal we shouldn't fear either of them and we shouldn't fear playing Liverpool or City either

Think we'll get 10/15 points, Arsenal to get 7/15 and Chelsea to get 9/12.

Unless Man. City have a disaster v Newport the derby game will be moved to sometime in April.

Wolves-Arsenal also gets moved if Wolves beat Bristol City.

Have to say I'm surprised they don't play FA cup quarter finals in midweek. Guess there's no space with CL coming back but it creates too much congestion in last few weeks of premier league.

Forgot about that. Derby game in April will be fiery.

The swing in goal difference is what makes me happy.

The Liverpool game is massive. Hopefully we get a positive result against PSG and take the momentum into the pool game and get all three points. I can see us easily winning against Palace and Southampton after that. I expect neither Chelsea nor Arsenal to get all 9 points in the next three which should see us have a decent cushion going into Arsenal away.

Suppose United will be put out of the top four before we kick off against Liverpool. So extra incentive, if anymore could possibly be needed.

Tricky set of fixtures for us but means we will only have Chelsea left to play in the run in, right?

Looking forward for the next time "Keysey" and Gray question Mourinho's stance from December on this where he said that a miracle is needed to get into the top four. I'm sure they'll ask such a probing and topical question.

All 3 have few tough fixtures. We have the toughest ones though, at least 2 games vs Liverpool and City are at OT.

Yes. Probably city as well, since the game is definitly going to be postponed (it happens if either city or us win our FA cup tie).

We're playing 3 of those 4 tough games at home and the away game is against Arsenal. Chelsea and Arsenal are bankers for me while Liverpool and especially City the toughest ones.

Though I'm seeing us going unbeaten against those 4(3 home games) but we'll likely drop some points with a draw or 2.

I think we will drop points vs Arsenal and beat other teams at home. Think City game will be moved to April because of FA cup.

We won’t be because Chelsea haven’t got a game and Arsenal kick off same time as us.

Football is crazy. We were 11 points behind Chelsea 9 games ago. They had a 21 better goal difference than us and we were 1 point ahead of Wolves, 2 ahead of Everton! Now we are a point better than Arsenal and Chelsea and have 1 better goal difference to them both too!

The manner of the City win yesterday slightly detracted from us claiming 4th spot. Crazy turnaround. It's going to feel like an age waiting for this Liverpool game to come around now.

Wolves is a much trickier away game than Fulham who regularly concede 3-4 at the Cottage. You beat Fulham 4-1 in the last days of Mourinho after all.

TBF I can see Man. United and Arsenal both dropping points at Molineux. Very difficult opponent for the top teams home and away.
I'd say Wolves is our most difficult away fixture left in the league, a draw there would be a good result. Arsenal at the Emirates is tougher on paper but yeah, our record there has to be pretty good.

I think United have one hand on 4th at this point. I know there is a long way to go but you guys are on the up and Chelsea & Arsenal are both on downwards trajectories.

You’ll pass them like ships in the night.

I feel the most confident against Arsenal and that's due to our away form and how deadly our counter attack has been.

In fact we've been at our very best when breaking fast and countering so far under Ole and Arsenal would allow us to have such a game. They'll keep possession and push forward and will be picked on the counter. Right now there isn't a team in the league as deadly on the break as us.

Yeah I agree with that, just that I don't feel as confident when facing any top 6 team away from home.

Seems like our match against City is being moved every single year.

Luckily we have PSG and Chelsea in the meantime.

This season has turned into one of the most exciting in a long time, after looking so bleak in December.

Amazing what can happen when you’ve got some decent players and a manager who’s not a raging cnut.

I'm not remotely worried going to the Emirates anymore. Almost expect us to pick up 3 points.

I'm actually looking at the Palace away game as a potential banana skin, that is no easy fixture. If we lose against Liverpool and then are complacent at Palace, it could really damage our top 4 charge. People are saying the next 3 games are Ole's biggest test, but for me it's what happens immediately after them that's most important.

6 days rest between each of the three games in this period is pretty huge as well. For PSG, our game will be their 3rd in a week. Liverpool will have one less day's rest for their game with us, and Chelsea will only have 3 days rest before the FA Cup tie.

Potential banana skins all over the place tbh

Liverpool - been almost faultless this season
Palace - always a tough away game
Southampton - have become a bit of an arsehole of a game at home (0-0 draw last season, back to back defeats under LVG)
Arsenal - already beat them on their own ground once already this season
City - best team in the country
Wolves - best of the rest and game raising feckers
Everton - always a tough away game
Chelsea - may have sorted their shit out by the time we play them

That only really leaves 4 games that you look at and think they'll be comfortable

Big tests for the team to prove they're as good as we think they are

We'll win most of these I feel. I also didn't realise we play Arsenal away again, I'm already excited about another DT rant. Can't wait!

Prefer them having tough games as it will make sure they are fired up. Sometimes it is the so called easy games that can trip you up when complacency kicks in.

Part the reason I welcomed Solskjaer’s appointment was I’d already accepted the season being a write off. Didn’t expect him to actually turn it around and put top 4 back in our hands.

Is Palace just before PSG second leg?

Yeah they're a team who don't tend to concede a huge amount and have some decent forward options who on their day can hurt top teams (scored 3 at Man. City and Liverpool).

Man. United do have a very good record down the years at Selhurst Park. I remember the 2 nil comeback last season and also a few other late winners in last 5 years, seems to be the new Villa Park for you.

I'd say if Man. United are a few points clear in 4th by start of April you'll finish in that position.

Haven't we like 4 games in a row thick and fast after those fixtures? Like 3 and 4 days rest between them.
