It really isn’t.
It really is though. Napoli and Inter competing until the last second to make it out of the group stages ahead of Spurs, Liverpool and PSG wasn't too long ago. Would have never happened a few years ago, the top half of Serie A is better than it's been in nearly a decade and everything suggests it will keep improving.

Yeah he is doing great I can’t take that away from him. Beast of a player. But Juve would be expected to beat every team week in week out in the league anyway. Ron was bought for the CL and that is where he will be judged with them. They would win the league with or without him anyway.
Juve were guaranteed to win the league the same way Bayern were guaranteed to win the league this season... that's not how it works. The new signings help revitalizing the team and improving, if these dominant teams stay still then they end up being overtaken. Last season was one of the tighest title races in Serie A history... now Juve are on course for a 104 points undefeated season.

Ronaldo was bought for the Champions League, their season can go from a good one to an unbelievable one depending on how they do there. Doesn't mean that what he's doing is irrelevant, just that it's not as important.

Involved in 30 goals in his first 31 games for Juventus

First player in Serie A history to score in 9 consecutive away games.

Not bad for a 34 years old.

And Serie A is clearly better than the Bundesliga, the league is the strongest its been since Juve started dominating.
This is really true. People go on about the Bundesliga being so exciting and that it doesn't have to hide behind the Premier League. And to be fair they do a lot of things right, the match-going experience is probably unrivalled in Europe. Quality-wise it is a fair bit behind the top 3 in my opinion. It's my native league but I mainly follow it for betting purposes these days.

Bundesliga and Serie A?

Imo similar level, totally different styles of football, management. Both great depending on what you want to see.

But behind La Liga or EPL. Now don't ask me which one is better because this is a Ronaldo thread.

Highest scorer in Serie A and second in assists.

Is there any player who won top scorer award in 3 of the top leagues?

Ruud in Holland, England and Spain. Suarez the same. If you consider Eredivisie as a top league...

Knew about Suarez and forgot about Ruud. Question was about top 4 leagues, hard to think of anyone who did it.

There are few examples of players going to so many leagues so probably you won't find one.

Off the top of my head Marcio Amoroso was Seria A and Bundesliga top scorer and played in Spain, but can't remember if he was top scorer of La Liga as well. Not the most impressive name on the list. :)

Yeah, that's a good point.

13 non penalty goals in serie a this season in 22 games. Hardly astonishing but honestly ive enjoyed watching him more this season than the last few at Madrid.

Big game is on Wednesday though.

Just to put into perspective what he’s doing, Juve has 64 goals all season so far, he’s scored 21 and assisted 12.

“Who cares that he’s leading Serie A in goals and assists at 34 if he doesn’t make my private parts tingle when I watch him though?”

Ronaldinho and R9 are what’s up

Exactly. These guys will talk about best peaks & them being beautiful to watch than C. Ronaldo - but like a good wife beauty comes from consistency & how they treat you; not just looks.

C. Ronaldo has everything & has proved himself in every worthwhile league. What a career & what a player. For me he has the best career as a footballer & for that reason is the goat

If we don't have a chance to win the CL - let C. Ronaldo win it for Juventus & close off.

The guy has had such a minimal peak because he has been so darn consistent. Absolutely wonderful.

Same with Messi fans boys to be honest

The guys is still scoring goals but is much more on an obvious downward trajectory alongside his one & only team

Hope that doesn't agitate anyone

Have to admit, a serie A and champions league double this season would make it very difficult for me not to put him as my number 1 of all time.

C'mon now he plays for the best team in the league - a team so ahead of others it's kind of a joke to be honest
I wonder if he'd have similar stats if he played for Milan or Inter ;)

Don't you think that he is playing too many minutes?
I thought he would have more rest for this part of the season

He's playing way too many minutes. He's 34 and always did well in the CL due to being rested more in the league, whereas at Juve I think he's played like their last 15 games straight.

Stats don't tell us everything, Icardi was top scorer twice in the last years (along with Immobile last year and with Toni 3 years ago) so I don't think that CR7 with Inter or Milan would have found hard to make it too with these teams….
Other top scorers in the top leagues:
Christian Vieri was top scorer with Atletico and Inter, Luis Suarez with Liverpool and Barcelona, Cavani with PSG and Napoli.
EDIT: also Ibra with Inter and Milan and PSG and Luca Toni with Fiorentina and Bayern.
Marcio Amoroso was already said.

:D

He only scores a lot because of Rooney

He only scores a lot because of Özil and Di Maria

He only scores a lot because of Benzema

He only scores a lot internationally because the opponents are crap

He only scores a lot in the CL knockouts because the midfield dominates the game

He only scores a lot with Madrid because they’re extremely attacking

He only scores a lot with Juve because they are dominant
