Results aside, the moment that really pulled my feelings together was hearing the away fans sing non stop in our last game against Fulham. Regardless of what your anxiety is about Ole moving forward, you cannot deny the harmony he's brought back. This is the Manchester United we've all fallen in love with for decades.

It really is. The support was just amazing. Nostalgic song too.

I have felt connected to the club all along and watched every minute so it feels good, but I don't know if it would feel better or worse if I didn't do that. Probably wouldn't have made a difference. Thick and thin though, we have had our moments with the EL and F.A as well, I think the negativity has been overkill at times if I'm honest and I have been worried it could reach into the fanbase deep and create a culture of doom and gloom. I don't want our fanbase to become like Rawk. But if this place is anything to go by, that wont happen and I'm really surprised by all the positivity.

Really starting to look forward to games at the moment can't thank Ole enough for the way he has changed the atmosphere around the club.

At the end of Jose' reign it was terrible and I'm not going to use this thread to sl^g Jose to back but I had regular debates with my friends who supported City and Liverpool and told them the problem was Jose and they brought up his past achievements and said how much of a good manager he is. Feck him anyway.

One thing that massively stands out to me is that Ole has me believing firmly in the team. An example of this is when we were 2-0 down to Burnley my mother phoned me, I told her the score in the 83rd minute but I still had faith that we were going to be able to salvage something from the result and that is a feeling I haven't had in a while which is amazing.

Great to see Ole doing what he is doing and take each game at a time and continue enjoying the ride. Thanks very much for everything so far and may it long continue.
:D:devil:

The games are nice to watch. Even on occassions when we don't play well like Burnley and Leicester. The whole team are more likeable now.

The pain's definitely been worth it. Let's hope Ole's success continues because I could never get to the point of disliking him as much as I ended up disliking the previous 3, close to the end of their tenures.

Agree firmly with part in bold. I'm hoping Ole's tenure is going to be longer than the other threes combined :D

It's been 6 years and we've been competitive for about 3 or 4 of them. We've finished second in that time and won trophies. There's hardly been a 'thin' period and suggesting so is insulting to those teams that are going on 30+ years since their last trophy. We're not Liverpool and were never going to go 20 - 30 years without a PL, we're too big for that.

And if you're asking if I'm glad we went through recent shitty times in order to be here now? No, no I fecking don't, all this could have been avoided years ago. I'd rather we won the last 6 PL's in a row than have to remember the days of David Everton Moyes, Louis pass them to sleep Van Gaal and Jose Gopher Pile Mourinho.

One thing I've realized from the last six years is that I truly care more about the quality of football and the manchester united factor than the trophies. I have been more excited in the last 10 games than the FA, Europa and League cup wins combined. I've started reading up and watching football related stuff like I used to do in the SAF days and it's almost like getting part of my youth back when I was a school kid. I don't think I can take another dull manager on the touchline who's grumpy all the time. SAF always celebrated the goals with pure joy and that's what Ole and Phelan do and it's just heart warming.

The time after SAF has been difficult but I’m a bit eager to say it was worth it. For the fans, they learn that winning doesn’t come easy. And now that it seems like we are going back to winning, it feels incredible. Like finding the cure to a chronic illness.

I don’t want to get carried away but things are looking positive. One interesting measure is how the scousers around me are starting to get worried about the development. They’ve been enjoying the past few years hoping that we are the next Liverpoooo.

I don’t want to get too carried away here...
...it finally feels like the baron spell is over and the next few years are going to be even more enjoyable because of what we came through.
I love this club so much.
We have just learned how little is sometimes needed for everything to turn around and how fast it can go. It also applies to the opposite, it can get worse and it can go fast. It may be pessimistic to think so, but unfortunately it's also realistic.

The pain for such a long time still feels unnecessary but otherwise I completely share your feeling today. It has two reasons (because I can only see the matches on TV), the attack game and the coach's press conferences.

That sense of joy and pride never occurred in the same way when the team played defensive and the coaches behaved strangely at the press conferences.

The difference today feels so strongly related to Ole, his tactics and charisma. As long as we don't know what is happening to him and the coaching role, I dare not say that I will feel the same thing regardless of what happens and for years to come.

Looking forward to watch Utd again is all I really want to be fair, some great moments and looking like we give one shit at least. I just stopped watching football all together this season under Jose. Ole is a nice guy and he seems to know what he wants and what we want.

And the reality check is has the club continue to hand out contracts to deadwood FC and our last three transfer windows our spending record is a joke, this club will never be back to our best. With every DDG, pogba, martial and rashford there is your Jones, young, mata, lukaku and Sanchez. Maybe we won’t be in the depressive 6 year state of the team were in, until we see ruthless aggression of players not good enough for the club, I dont see the real good times coming back.

We need a DOF, and we need that idiot Woodward out of the football side of things, along with the ownership realising to be the best you need to invest. Getting by with Jones, young, smalling, matic, mata, lukaku and Sanchez will continue to be a reminder this team needs investing has big clubs should be doing, and at the minute we have an ownership trying to make top 4 on a budget that is outdated by atleast 8 to 12 years
I kind of get what you’re saying but it’s also nonsensical given that Mata, Matic, Lukaku and Sanchez hardly scream ‘Glazer austerity program.’

Christ alive, everyone, the lowest you finished during this period was higher than most clubs in English football could dream of and you still won major trophies during these years that were apparently so hard for you all to endure. Have a word.
