A collective shrug in the 7th minute would sum it up.

Depends on if he plays worse with boos or just ignoring him. I would ignore him, maybe if OT boos he will be more motivated

spineless little rat who disappears when the going gets tough. We should hammer him, the team will benefit

He'll get booed, he deserves exactly what he thought of us. Nothing, ignore him and focus on supporting us.

Whoever I bet on
I have never been to Old Trafford and will most likely never go, so my opinion on this is irrelevant.

However, I would just like to say that I thought that that 4:0 QPR win in which he starred was a start of the next classic United team.

He was a massive letdown but I feel it could have been different with a better and less rigid manager. It wasn't just his fault.

But as for tomorrow, I don't really care about him.

He was such a nothing player for us that I regularly forget he was ever here.

I forgot he played for us until I read the title. I’m willing to bet most of the stadium will probably be more like “oh yeah, him” than anything else.

Snakes don't deserve standing ovation. And we are too classy for boos.
Should just ignore him.
Exactly this. He’s a rat, looks like a rats, and should be ignored like a rat (I dont know how you ignore a rat...). Best thing to do is just to move on, he’s an irrelevant part of our history.

Who cares. He was just another player who couldn't make it here for whatever reasons. People seem to give a bit too much importance to him by calling him a snake or acting as if he has cheated us in some way. He is nothing of a player for United and needs to be ignored.

I really really hope we won't boo him - That's just not the United way.
He came to United and wanted to be part of the rebuild after Moyes and unfortunately it just did't work out for him under LVG.
And really, I'm glad he left - don't think we would have gotten Martial if Di Maria hadn't left.

Should be booed. Obviously LvG didn't treat him well, but it was the same with half our squad, and none if them downed tools as he did. No professional behaviour at all.

To top it off, he kept mouthing off about how he had made the right decision to join PSG because we were still foundering in midtable. It wasn't all on LvG, the cnut never respected the club.

He scored a couple great goals, and his assist for Matafield was delicious, (won £50 bet off my scouse mate for that win). But ultimately wasn't mentally strong enough to adapt to us and the EPL. I don't think he deserves to be boo'd though.

HE won't be getting the ball for us to boo him! Young has driven him out of Manchester once, this time, Young will make AdM cry and AdM would be wishing that he was injured than be thoroughly embarassed by Ashley!

tbf he never wanted to be here in the first place, our own desperation is to blame for him ever being on the books

The reception will be unfavorable for him...coming up to Utd and not performing up to expectations is a big shame

I honestly hadn't even thought about him until i saw this thread. I don't really care what the fans do but i have a feeling there will be some boos. He deserves nothing from us as he was completely disrespectful towards us but i also feel that we should have never bought a player who clearly didn't want to be here. We should never be a second or third choice for any player.

He is a bad character. Despite being an excelent player, a lot of episodes could be written about his years at Benfica.

I don’t think he did. I think Madrid pushed him out to make room for James Rodriguez, we were the only takers and he was forced to put up with the Manchester weather until PSG could stump the money up.

The rat never wanted to join us, and his attitude stunk throughout his time here.

I remember being well excited when we signed him. Just didn't work out. He didn't like the city, his house got broken into, unsurprisingly his effort dropped and he melted away.

I'd react indifferently to him, ignore him. Don't think it needs booing.

Zero(as any other player), didn't feel like a United player from day one I felt nothing when he left. I can honestly say it feels as if he was never here.

Did the home fans give negative reception to any returning players that didn't join a direct rival before? The United home fans are incredibly nice.

I don't feel any type of way about him, funnily enough I think he'd have thrived here under Ole but it's long since done, I don't expect any major crowd booing.
