Really love the atmosphere in general. Confident, optimistic and still respectful. As a United manager, at this stage after the recent years to hear that Ole has an eye on the final...that's just brilliant. What United used to be about.

Thinking back to Ronaldo leaving. We made it to another final with an old man Giggs in the center of the park and Chicharito up front, a good forward but by no means a world class striker. None of the squads not elite talk .we just did it . Feels like that again.

Both Ole and Martiall responded well and diplomatically to all difficult questions. No one needs to doubt that they have good self-confidence and a good atmosphere in the team.

I FOOCKING LOVE OLE. Win, lose or draw he approaches games with confidence, as a Man Utd manager should.

Love that he pointed out at the end that that journalist didn't consider Roy Keane to be undroppable in 98/99.

It's quite amazing and a welcomed surprise how Ole isn't shying away from implying that he's expecting us to beat PSG. He's saying it in a way as not to sound to arrogant yet want to let it known that United are expected to beat anyone. No shying away from expectations and whatsnot, just saying it how he feels.

And I'm very glad he's taken this attitude, so tired of seeing us being talked about as hopeless whenever we get these big European games(as rare as they've been) and our managers just confirming those expectations. Time to start talking up our team and give them belief. Getting to that highest level start with the mentality and spirit. Breed that mentality in your squad first then go from there.

Let's go into these big games with big expectations and if we lose we should rightly feel dissapointed instead of going into them with pathetically low and unacceptable expectations so when we lose people from managers to players and fans would be shielded from the disappointment. We SHOULD feel disappointed after any loss, not just be resigned to some expected losses because bars have been set low.

Let's go play PSG with all the expectations to win and if we happen to lose, let's get bummed about it and work hard to not let it happen again.

Interesting that he said that when he saw PSG live last week, he saw just how fast Mbappe is in real life. I wonder if that will change his selection in any way.

His interviews are the best. Nothing complicated there, no digs to players or oppositions, just genuine positivity for us, praise for players and respect/praise for the opponents.

It'll be Lindelof + Bailly. Our quickest defenders who play well with a high line.

I do wonder whether we will sit back and counter attack a bit more though with the treat of Mbappe over the top. Bailly is quick but i'm not sure he would catch him.

Martial:

Well we’ve now got a coach with different intentions; a different approach. Perhaps it’s easier for us to play this style of football than the one of the last coach.

Forget about that, now he’s got me wondering just how fast he actually looks in real life. He already looks like lightning watching him on TV, I can’t imagine how much faster he actually looks live :nervous:

All of his quotes about PSG indicates that he has been studying them to a great degree. He has a healthy respect for them, but knows they can be beaten.

3 managers post Fergie and none of them had that confidence, and failed to bring that positive atmosphere to the club. Every word Ole speaks shows how passionate he is how he learned from the best really, and that ofcourse will move automatically to the players. Man his words like music to the ears after 2 years and half of moaning and negativity. Some say he has nothing to lose that's why he feels no pressure and doing well but for me it's all about the mentality and knowing exactly what this club made of.

All the potential tough questions he's answers them in such a good way. Really impressed with his handling of the media. Gives them no opportunity to create any headline .

Good to call out the press on this. They keep asking the same "When are you signing?" despite him telling them it is too early.
And the "Do you know if De Gea is extending and when?" question. He has time and again said it is not up to him to decide all that.

And this one as well
Martial on Solskjaer asking him to do different things to Mourinho, “He’s asking me to attack more, that’s my job after all. He’s asking me to be more decisive. I can only say we all continue to play like this.”
Martial isn't being diplomatic at all and just saying what we've all been thinking, Jose was holding the team back and asking arguably our best attacker to prioritize defending over you know, attacking. Mental.

Martial on whether he can offer more, “Ole has said that to me, as well as other managers, and I think if I can get ahead of defender then I will score more.”
Martial here is just confirming what ole said earlier about making more runs, I'm glad he's keeping it in mind as we can only reap more splendid rewards.

Amongst footballing managerial 'Gods'
The part about a weakened psg is somewhat true. With some of their best players out, it won’t only make them unpredictable for us, but also unpredictable to themselves as well. Whoever, replaces those players will have a tough time jellying into a system that doesn’t incorporate their style of play. Similar to how lukaku struggles to play the dynamic role that Ole has Rashford playing, I am sure PSG will struggle to replace and fit into their system the players they have absent. We have no replacement for Pogba and United will have to change our whole style of play if he gets injured. I m quite sure Neymar absence will be similar to that of Pogba to United.

forgot romero played in the WC final 2014. Wow never understood why he did not leave united for first team football. Guess he likes the money and no pressure.

He does indeed.
Paul Pogba said that the big difference with Ole is that he is just himself.

He makes us remember that football is actually quite a simple game and all you need to do is to focus on the basics.

Looking for the answers...
8:50 in the video, ole is asked if he has any advice for Scholes... “All the best, watch out for the pundits... he’s been asking for it”:lol:

Love Scholes but he’s going to get a chewing if he falls flat

It's called the gap in status between both clubs. The world knows Manchester as being Manchester United, not anything else.
Yaya Toure: I thought Manchester United wanted to sign me from Barcelona... until my agent told me it was the team in blue.

Then there are unconfirmed reports of Robinho thinking he was joining United as well. Almost everyone associates United with Manchester (and vice versa). Even with their recent success, I hear them being referred to as City while we are Manchester.
