He's only got a 6.2 rating on the forum? Since Jose got sacked, he's been a consistent 7.5-8/10 player.
A less good start to the season means that the average grade is reduced and I also think that a worse first year affected how some looked at his performances also this season.

I cant believe we are struggling for center back players. One commanding one is required. Anyway we need a lot of players in the squad. Whether we need an overhaul or some players that's up to the coach to determine.
Two players for each position plus a few utility players is almost always my motto.

I love him. Van Dijk is obviously just a freak of a centre back but he's measuring extremely well against the rest and he's only going to get better and better. Shame he's missing today but we should hopefully cope v these.

Not in the team, United keeps a clean sheet all of a sudden. Discuss ;)
I guess you want us to joke that it was only Fulham. A joke you are clearly in on. But I would say once we bring big Phil in we suddenly keep a clean sheet. Make him captain and start him against PSG.

His defending for Mbappe's goal was worryingly poor. He should have ran across Mbappe and cleared the ball.

EDIT:
After watching the replay, I feel I was harsh on him. He seemed to be running at max speed.

Yeah, because it's so easy against a player that fast. Nobody could defend that goal once Di Maria put the cross in.

Both defenders were actually pretty good tonight. We were let down elsewhere.

Agreed. The CBs and DDG are pretty much the only ones who could walk off with their heads held high. Herrera perhaps too.

Unfortunately when a player with explosive speed times his run perfectly and is played an excellent cross it is a little easier said than done.

Was clearly worried about Mbappe's pace but the CB's weren't where we lost the game tonight.

The CB's whatever pair they are, have always been easy targets. There are defensive flaws throughout the team that make their job much harder than it needs to be.

I thought Lindelof and Bailly were very poor tonight. All over the place whenever PSG attacked us. We need to spend big on a world class centre half in the summer.

Agreed
Midfield was below par and that's where we lost IMO.

The midfield is the issue against good, mobile, technical midfields IMO, too many gaps.

They were actually very good, first half PSG didn't do anything apart from have two offside shots. Second half we were under constant pressure and their goals came from Matic not marking from a corner and Young allowing Di Maria in. We have solid enough CBs, it's our full backs and treacle footed midfield that's the defensive issue against these types of teams.

Not Herrera. He was good defensively but his positioning in possession was awful as was his decision making in the final third.

Played ok tonight, but really want him to the right where he is so much better.

Played well today, except for not having rockets attached to his boots like Mbappe. Not much a defender can do against strikers with that amount of pace, especially if their midfield is given time and space like today.

Goals will always be scored and defenders blamed, but I think sometimes you have to give credit where it's due.

The pass by ADM was inch perfect and the run by Mbappe was deadly. Not all goals scored are due to poor defending, that was just an exquisite piece of attacking.

I think our 2 C'Bs were the least of our problems tonight.

Bailly could have prevented the 2nd goal. He slows down and therefor misses the cross. Basically he decided to give up that space where the ball was crosses and cover more behind him instead by slowing down which is always the wrong option to choose.

This guy should only play on the right.

Get one defender in:

Lindelöf - Bailly - De ligt

Got ball playing abilities on both side & a speedy Rash defender in the middle.

As good as a talent de ligt is. This team requires a koulibaly right now.

Another very good performance from him, despite the loss. Can't really blame him for anything, same as with Bailly.

Hopefully they'll continue playing together to develop some good chemistry between them.

All over the place as was his team mate Bailly. He’s improved but shouldn’t be being bigged up to better than he is. Certainly not a long term starter for us. We need 2 top cbs in the summer and clear out of the at least 3.

All over the place? Could you give some example of that? He cant be blamed for any of the goals and won a couple of really important challenges. Had a decent game imo.

It would be great with a top centre back, but based on this and other matches I’d rather see the big money spent elsewhere. The midfield need a serious upgrade and offensively there was hardly any threat against PSG whatsoever.

PSG are strong when attacking, even without Neymar and Cavani. They have scored two goals against both Liverpool and Napoli (with VdV and koulibaly) so far in the CL and have an average of almost 3 goals per match in CL. The difference is that Liverpool and Napoli scored themselves.
