ESPN has United paying 50m pounds for Ryan Sessegnon. According to Transfermarkt, Sessegnon has 1 goal and 2 assists in 270 minutes at RW vs Spurs, Cardiff, and Arsenal this season, his best production per match in any position in the EPL. Maybe Ole see's something there.
He's 18 years old with plenty of time to get better. I've been saying for a while, we could try to turn him into a LB. His defense was meh, while his attacking was impressive in the Championship so they turned him into a LW. But for a club with United's standards and with Martial already on the left wing, trying to convert him back to a LB could be worth it. I doubt any LB would be as good as he is going forward.

I don't know if that happens though seeing as we have Shaw.

No brainer.... Nicholas Pepe from Lille is the answer to our RW with Greenwood and Chong as capable backups.

Has to be Sancho and it needs to be done this summer. Going into next season, I just don’t see any other club that can afford him that needs to buy a right winger. Plus if he stays another season at Dortmund the price is only going to become more unreasonable and if he has another season like this teams will be more inclined to upgrade what they have which means we’ll have competition for him which definitely isn’t ideal.

It's a very small thing but the RW has to be left footed in my opinion & personally would not be too happy with a winger who prefers his right foot even if capable of using his left.

It's just something that I feel is essential to getting the front 3 working.

We have martial being a player who prefers cutting in rather than taking on the RB from the outside. We have Rashford who is right footed; again likes cutting in when he finds himself on the left side of the pitch whilst on the right hs takes his players on more on the outside like a traditional winger.

I'd really want to see a left footed forward in that position. It's personally why I think Greenwood has a bigger chance of breaking in to that spot than anyone else. Ideally we could try break him in ASAP so we can see if he is ready to make the step up or not first.

Either way - Left footed is a must.

I didn't know this guy was left footed so maybe he could play RW for us whilst using that left foot to attack.

However, I've not been all that in awe over his attacking abilities this season & as young or new to the position he maybe - he still seems like he has a further bit to go to properly become a consistent attacker that is relative to his age.

Considering Martial is looking like our long term left sided attacker & he tends to cut in - using sessegnon as a LWB that provides width is much more in line with where I see him long term.

I know he is in crazy form right now - but I worry that there is a slight lack of finesse in the way he plays - things like his first touch, close control dribbling, short range passing, the way he shoots & places shots in to a corner.

It's just something I worry about when I see him play - nevertheless looks like he can score a goal or 2.

What do you think his strengths & weaknesses are?

Strengths: Acceleration, First Touch, One touch passing (as opposed to hogging the ball which means he brings other players into play), Difficult to get the ball of him without fouling him. Can play as a No. 9 if need be which also means that we can sell Lukaku as well. He's tall which means he could pose an aerial threat and he can defend as well. And more importantly we fits in our counter attacking philosophy unlike Sanchez who prefers possession based football. Martial - Rashford - Pepe would be more deadly than Mane - Firmino - Salah especially if we had Pogba and Ndombele behind them. He has also scored some crackers from outside the box which also implies that he's no tap in merchant. His stats this season proves he's a creator and a goal scorer.... similar to Salah....

Weaknesses: His finishing could be better but that's something that can be worked upon...

What do you guys think of Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina? Looks like a real prospect to me and could solve our problems in that Position for about 10 years.

That would be a pretty big investment just so that we could try to convert him to play in a different position.

Though he will be entering the last year of his contract this summer.

Yep. From a financial standpoint, not sure how much it makes sense. We already have Martial on the left and have no one on the right. But he's largely been operating on the left for his entire career.

I have shamelessly stolen this from reddit but if we get Sancho we'll still be able to sing 'we got SANCHO, Paul Pogba and Fred'.

This.

Despite the excellent recent run of form, this team is going absolutely nowhere.

We have a chance here to get a potential superstar in this kid and luckily for us he is English and doesn’t play for one of our PL rivals (meaning we have a chance).

Under no circumstances can we afford to not sign this kid... and this summer.

has to be someone coming in at RW. Absolutely no way we can go into the next season with lingard and mata as our "RW" options, especially since neither are really wingers. Attacking the full width of the field will make us that much better overall. Spend whatever it takes

I know we've had a pretty bad track record with Argentinians... but Cristian Pavon might be a good shout. he's a tricky and direct winger.. got goals in him too.

Personally not a fan of that Ronaldo compilation. This one is the best one.

Is there a chance for Son to leaving a Spurs?

He is the most underrated player at the moment, for me better then Mane, Mahrez and Sane.

Sancho is a pure talent but we need players in their prime for titles and to be contenders in CL.

Not sure about Son leaving Spurs as Levy is known to be a tough negotiator and if Son were to leave, I personally think Levy would try his hardest to not him leave for a direct rival mate.

Son seems like a perfect United player, although dealing with Spurs is tricky. Perhaps if we decide on Ole (internally), we can offer to back off Poch if they talk to us about Son. He's got to be worth at least what Mahrez went for, and in this market, I think that's a fair price between rivals.

Cengiz Under was linked to us by La Rebublicca in Italy a few weeks back. Would cost us €60m from Roma. Don't really know much about the player but from watching YouTube vids of the player, he looks a better version of Xerdan Shaqiri.

Hopefully Ole will give Chongy Mata's minutes so we can get the idea of how good, if any is he, till the end of the season.

We should consider hakim ziyech from ajax .Very creative player with good dribbling and pass technique . The sancho option seems quite unrealistic to me this summer .

I would take him here, no doubt. He made a big jump this season, following in his fathers footsteps it seems.

There are plenty of much cheaper options outside of Sancho, and we need someone now. Seems some will be disappointed when it wont be Sancho we will buy.

Chiesa or Pepe for me. Chiesa i have seen more than enough, lad is perfect for us. Offers something different to Martial, Lingard et al. on the wing

We've got to set least try for Sancho, with a bid in the range of 70-80 million.

The key would be to move fast though. If we find him unaatainable, then it makes sense go for plan b or c.

Pure fantasy.

It’s quite clear that Dembele is the precedent here. It’s a near identical situation.

£140m plus.

Hopefully part can be performance related.

We need to be decisive before others are.

He will never be good enough for a team like United. Had some bad luck with injuries tbf but he definitely lacks the talent anyway.
I'd say the talent was there, but his attitude hasn't been good enough since he joined Schalke and coupled with the injuries, he won't be as good as he could have been.

We have Chong who will be our winger next season.
Chong is not Sancho level. We shouldnt limit ourselves from signing top talents because we have others coming through. If they are good enough then they will create the opportunity for themselves.

Chiesa for me, I reckon 50m gbp gets him and he’s aggressive, as well as versatile across the front 3. Could play lingards role as well.

I think he has a higher ceiling than Pepe, even if we could get Pepe for cheaper.
