Just offload Lukaku and Sanchez, offer something they can’t refuse, starting from 100m bid

Is he that quick? Not seen him in a proper game but seems a bit slow in his youtube vids. Depends on his dribbling skills to beat defenders rather than pace.

Good thing is that Dortmund is selling club. Bad news is that they know how to sell player. I don't think that they would accept less than 100mil.
Even i have doubts over him, solving that rw with player with that potential would be great.

Mkhitaryan was a pretty bad signing.
I keep saying that that is just not true. He was our key player in Europa league. It is a big thing. I am not saying that he was great buy or something like that, but he was decent signing because of all those crucial goals in EL. We won trophy and returned in CL mostly because of him.
In PL he was bad, not arguing that.

Mkhitaryan was a flop, there’s no denying that IMO.

I disagree. Sancho has better output in the same amount of games according to transfermarkt, whilst being about 4 years younger too.
Stats, stats, stats... if Sancho played for Barcelona and France, he wouldn't be good enough to be on the bench !
Dembele isn't even 3 years older btw.

I think you stand pretty much alone with that opinion. 96/100 would probably say overall flop

Only way that Mbappe joins that list is if we are taken over by the super rich owners and I don't mean the Red Knights
Doesn't mattered it doesn't t have Mbappe. We should focus on ensuring we get Sancho. He's at a club we are financial stronger and he's English. He's also seemingly a natural on the right. For the central position hopefully Rashford and Greenwood develop well.

Yeah, right. They just signed Kevin Prince Boateng who started on the weekend, and Sancho wouldn't even make the bench.

The other poster on the previous page tried to make the argument that Sancho's stats are as good as they are because he's playing for a better team.

I disagree anyway. I think both club and country would try to integrate him if they had him. It's just guesswork on both our parts though so a pointless debate.

Interesting to see that City have both sale percentage and first refusal clauses inserted in the original deal.

There's no way he'll go back to City. So any first-refusal clause will have no effect. 70m is a bargain for the potential that this kid shows.

No way we get him for £70MIL. Why would Dortmund sell him for that when they know they can get much more? I doubt this will happen, but it would take at least £100MIL.

The dream is to get a world class centre back and Sancho. But, I surmise that we will have to choose one or the other. With the way contract extensions have gone (Smalling and Jones), I think we are going to go big for Sancho and get a cheaper centre back option.

Would like to see what Greenwood or Chong can do before we go and spend silly money on Sancho, assuming we could even get him.

 You're hilarious. What is it you've got against him?

If he was purely just a stats player, why is he in the England team already? Why don't other "average" players put up the same stats?.

He's playing in an attack with 2 world cup winning forwards and keeping a £60m player on the bench in Pulisic. You may not like his style but he's clearly class. What other players at his age are one of the best in the league?

Sancho's passing accuracy and play making ability would fit incredibly well with Rashford, Martial, and Pogba in a 4231 setup. If 70m is the price, this should be a done deal the first day of the summer transfer window.

I'm not going to pretend I have watched an awful lot of Sancho -

but to me he is much more closer to an authetic playmaking winger in comparison to Martial, Rashford & Greenwood.

Therefore Sancho as a RW seems a tad lopsided in our attacking ability vs Creative ability; more of an attacking/finshers ability on the left with both Martial & rashford prefering to faint & dribble to the left before finishing with the right foot. Not having a left footed forward who does that from the right has me slightly worried.

So I'd rather see this for a balance -

Martial - Rashford - Greenwood
Sancho (AM)

In this I hope Sancho acts like a playmaker that takes the position of any of the wider forwards we have after they cut in to take shots -

ie

Martial cuts in centrally from the left;

Sancho - Martial - Rashford - Greenwood

or

Greenwood cuts in from the right

Martial - Rashford - Greenwood - Sancho

Defensively

Rashford
Martial- Sancho- Greenwood

Sancho would be a great addition to our squad; but not having a left footed forward in our attack kind of worries me.

Neil Custis is gonna be on Phil Brown's show tomorrow after the Chelsea game. I'm sure he will shed more light on his Jadon Sancho piece from afew days earlier.
We'll hear so much credible and interesting information from this.

But Sancho has great technique too. So what is it about Sancho that doesn't make him in the same class of prospect? I don't understand. For example, if it was Zaha, you could easily point to the gulf in technical class. You can't do that with Sancho.

Even if you offer 150mio, he is not getable this summer. We already sell Pulisic, and have no reason to sell another winger. Especially when he just perform like we want and his value will steadily rise and rise.

Another note:
In his contract there is an option for City, to be immidiately informed about an offer, so that they have the possibility to beat this.
All in all: no Sancho in this summer, the earliest time is summer 2020, and then you will have a betting war with City...

If we turn his head and he pulls a Dembele, we will get him.

I am quite confident that we can turn his head this summer.

I feel Dembele would've cost less, had it not been for PSG taking Neymar from Barca via his buy out clause. Barca from my understanding then tapped up Ousmane Dembele and turned his head which infuriated Watzke at Dortmund. I think Barca paid at least €20m in excess due to pissing Dortmund off.

United have had good dealings with Dortmund in the past when it comes to buying players. We signed Kagawa and Mkhitaryan for very reasonable fees. The Dortmund hierarchy even went on record to say they were very pleased to see how classy United were in how they went about signing Kagawa, which was a swipe at the Bayern board at the time.

I think we can negoiate a good price for both clubs but it will depend on what Sancho wants. We tried to sign him before when he was at City and we wouldn't have even made a attempt if the player didn't want to join.
The last time we bought a player from them Raiola smashed up their office for us.

It's strange to say he wasn't a flop because he had a few good games in the Europa league.

He was bought with a view as a quality attacking player in order to help united win the league and to elevate the team to Champions League level. He absolutely failed to live up to that expectation.

He had one good season at Dortmund and has never come close to replicating that.

Even if you tried to pin his performances on bad management by Mourinho this falls down as he hasn't done it under two managers at Arsenal either.

First, this would be a dispicable try. Everyone in the world of football critised Barcelona for thatone (and their move was based on their own stupidness to let Neymar suprisingly go and not planning in the longterm). Second Watzke claimed after that case, that we will not tolerate any actions like this anymore, and given the contract situation, he would let Sancho sit in the stands. Third point: Your try wouldnt remove the clause City has got, so even if you offer huge amounts of money, City has all the oportnunities to offer more and would always be the first choice. To say the last: Sancho extended his contract in the begining of the season to 2022, i can only repeat myself on that one.
We are a club you can work with and are always honest in buisness and to our players, our image in developing youth and run a Club well is as good as us as an buisness partner. If you try something like you mentioned, it will hurt you and the buisness as a whole, if you know what i mean (Sorry for my bad English).

So you'd happily wait a few years then?
I don't see the fuss in Chong either tbh. It's all well and good giving youth a go but if they ain't got it they ain't got it.

Would love to be proven wrong.

Greenwood has a big chance but he's at least a year or 2 off.
