Blaming United injuries for his team not winning.
Wasn't he talking about Firmino? I don't think he was referring to our injuries.

He admitted that we played well, good to hear. But claimed Liverpool lost 2 points and we gained 1. That ain't true, if anything, we dropped 2 and they were lucky to go away with 1.

His range of excuses has no limits. He'll blame every and anything for any bad result it's ridiculous.

Made the transformation this season from that mythical heavy metal football manager to a boring, passive and waiting for lucky hits manager.
True. All the attention was put on bayern after the 0-0 and now on ole, when in reality they hardly look like THE side.

Definitely not, he suggested he’d set his team up for a certain Utd midfield, which changed completely by 35 minutes in to the game.

Can't stand him, he's a knob but gets away with it for some reason. Talks absolutle shit too, sorry the players got injured Klopp.

Imagine if another team played the way they did against them, he would actually have a meltdown.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a strange game. We started really well. All the injuries in the game obviously cost us rhythm. It happened to us with 'Bobby' and that was a catastrophe.

"United played with a completely new midfield and three up front. We lost our rhythm and couldn't get it back.

"It was a game without a lot of highlights - it was intense. On days when United are beatable you have to do it and we didn't do it.

"We have a point more and Wednesday is out next game.

Totally agree! Anyone could see we had the biggest chances.

Had the ball in the net and Smalling almost scored again comes to mind.

All this with so many injuries, im proud of the team!

He’s making excuses to the cameras but I bet inside he’s pissed off. Such a wretched performance both individually and collectively. I’m not sure what he expected that midfield three to offer us offensively. Also Milner at RB was a mistake. He had so much space and did nothing with it.

We’ve got favourable fixtures but City are a much better side than we are.

One of the most ridiculous interviews I’ve seen in a long time. The Liverpool delusion is in full flow with some of the comments Souness made as well, even starting on one of his colleagues who disagreed.

Liverpool were crap today but apparently they had control of the game. We had to make 3 subs in the first half and had an unfit striker the entire game.

Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We might feel like we won a point or lost two. We started exactly how we wanted to start. The injury crisis then started. Roberto Firmino then went down.

"We were without chances - only United had one big one when Alisson made an excellent save - the rest were set-pieces. It kept the game open but we didn't create enough and that's the truth.

"We didn't do well to be honest. We take that. It is a point gained because we have one more than before but it doesn't feel like that.

"These games are always opened up by one situation. The boys didn't feel okay. I could see it in their faces. It was strange. I was thinking 'what is gong on here today'. They lost momentum and rhythm and couldn't really get it back.

Our injuries cost them their rhythm. Their injury was a catastrophe for them.

Amazing that in spite of everything being against Liverpool, it's amazing they're still top of the league.

Thought he was absolutely dreadful today responding to the game, can you imagine a Mourinho team or a Guardiola team coming out at half time against a team with effectively 10 men and no substitutes? It should have been a blood bath, no matter how well we played.

That said, there's nothing wrong with his post-match comments. Other than admitting fault for not being able to respond to the chaos he's spot on, and I'm not sure it's always helpful for a manager to admit fault in these situations.

I dont disagree with him. They were doing okay and then when the injuries started happening they were average at best from that point on. I think its just the truth

But if I was a Liverpool fan I'd be annoyed that the players didnt get back on their game at some point and look like they might still win it.

He really is a joke of a human being, even his deluded players must be having a laugh at his excuses. Watford who just smashed Cardiff away 5-1 will be no easy feat the way they're playing, and then they'll go to Goodison. There's a fair chance that City will pass them in the next two games.

I hope he stays and keeps Liverpool trophyless for the next 15 years to come.

It's not just this game though, he talks some absolute crap and the press are giving him an easy ride for now.

We were without Matic & Martial then we lost Herrera, Mata and Lingard + Rashford kept playing despite being injured. They should have destroyed us and yet we had the best chances.

I’ve heard a few people start to raise an eyebrow to it now.
Interesting, haven't noticed it myself. It's fine as long as he wins I guess, but if your form drops off and results do then the press will pick up on it a lot more, which will put a bit more pressure on him.

Never mind his excuses. I don’t know how they take his touchline antics seriously. Fecking calm down you imbecile.
