Would much rather someone like Sancho play at right wing, someone with a lot of flair, speed and equally dangerous in the box. Dalot can be a good back up

I really hope some people would put a break on the expectations that are being piled on this boy, pretty much setting him up for the fall. He may very well have a nightmare of a game in the coming weeks and then we'll have a whole bunch of comments about how he's so far away from being the finished product, lacks pace and defensive positioning, etc etc

IMHO he'll take quite some time to become a consistent preformer and anyone who thinks otherwise is just setting themselves up for disappointment. Even Ronaldo was far from the finished product when he was 19.

We should still be looking at getting an experienced right back and use dalot as wing back who has the potential to change a game. He's still got a long way to go before he is first choice..

He has the same attitude to his game as Herrera. Comes across as a winner. An old head on young shoulders. His post match interview confirms that.

There's a real drive, energy and purpose to his play when he's on the ball, and a bravery to want to receive it in difficult/tricky areas and make things happen (from a RB!)

Just seems to relish being at the club.

A full pre season working with the likes of Phelan will do him a world of good.

I don't see the point in us signing AWB when we have Dalot and Laird in the mix.

Yep, though it is a bit of hard situation. If Young/Valencia was one year younger it would have been an ideal situation. Dalot should be a starter next year, but there should also be someone more experienced who can deputize for him, and sub him when he is not playing well (inevitable that it will happen). Laird probably won't be ready for another couple of years, he is just 17, right?

Yep. Sancho with Dalot overlapping would be the dream. I can see them having a Beckham/Neville relationship.

Yeah Laird won't be there for a couple of years at least. He will eventually compete with Dalot - which makes spending a big sum on AWB a waste of funds

Yep. We just spent 20m on Diogo and Laird is arguably our second most talented player in the academy, so spending a lot in a RB at his prime wouldn't be a good business. On the other side, someone like Alves would have been perfect for next season, to ease Diogo.

Anyway, Diogo looks quite mature and the occasion seem to not faze it at all, so probably he will do well in a swim or sink scenario. If he can replicate Rafael's 2010-2011 season (without the injuries in the second half of the season), it would be great.

He's so brave, played like a seasoned pro, not like a 19 year old kid. Change our play when he came in. Was our offensive outlet in the 2nd half.

Definitely shows his inexperience but i love this kid.
A thing that i like about him is hes not a coward like some of our other fullbacks we have had in recent years.
And hes got a fairly good cross on him.

Just want him to get a proper go atRB. Anyway, he’ll almost certainly start there against Wolves with Young suspended.

I'm glad everyone else is coming around to my opinion of Dalot from day one.

Will be a fantastic player at RB for us and doesn't need to be thrown into the under 23 team like some claimed.

He played well in a highly pressured environment and ultimately won us the game because he knew he could shoot from distance.

A star in the making. Still a few things to work but he's going to be some player for us. And what a lovely character he seems to be

We need to see more of him for our remaining games, phase Young out and give him experience. He's gonna be class.

Good decision to take that long distance shot late on. Defended better than in some previous games. One terrible pass backwards straight to a PSG player.

Got to say been super impressed with what he has done as a RW, if he can mesh that with some solid defensive displays maybe we do have a hell of a RB on our hands. Funny moment when he took the ball tried to slow the game down was signalling to people to calm down then gives the ball away straight to Mbappe was it trying a cross field pass.

Extremely skillful player, totally destroyed their left with one move in particular (hope someone has a GIF), a few brain freezes with the throw ins, but he is young and will learn. Natural talent level... super high, he has a hugeeeeeee potential.

Turns out scouts know better than caf members. Some forgot that he had played 6 top flight games before joining us. His attacking is already elite for a fullback, this guy is a massive talent. 4 goals and assists only playing the odd game, he'll be getting double figures in goals + assists when he develops.

Can't remember what minute it was in the first half, but the stepover to bamboozle the PSG defender on their left please. @GifLord

I've been saying this since he signed. A bit of patience goes a long way. He's still only 19 and will have ups and downs but as a attacking fullback he has huge potential. The defencive side will also come with playing more games and time.

He played well but that part when he was telling everyone to clam down and then gives PSG player a 30 yard pass was one of the funniest and dumbest things I've seen.

If he keeps developing and we improve a few areas of the team, he's going to win the PL, the Cl, FA cup..literally Dalot

Changed the game again, in my opinion. Not too sure what Ole's reasoning behind Bailly at right back was, but when Dalot came on and Young moved to right back, I felt we looked a lot more comfortable.

Not only did he get back and defend the spaces well, but going forward he was a threat too. Obviously played a massive part in us winning the penalty. Another fantastic performance by Dalot.
