Just a matter of time before someone did that, and just a matter of time someone's armed with a sharp object.

Really need to punish clubs with point deductions for this stuff.

What a piece of shit. Hope he enjoys his jail cell as he’ll be going down for quite a while.

This should be punished with a ban. Make them play behind closed doors for the rest of the season and make an example. The boy could have long lasting psychological effects. It's abhorrent.

Absolutely disgusting cowardly attack from behind. If he really felt that way he should have just burgled his house.

Other than bringing back barriers, there's not much a club can really do because one fan sees red. I think in these derby matches though the stewards need to be much more on the ball - he shouldn't have been able to reach Grealish.

If clubs started getting points deducted then what's stopping opposing fans running onto the pitch in order for the home club to hit.

The guy should go to jail for assault though

Yeah I said that in the gameweek thread as well, came to think of it as I posted here. It's a tough one really, but that guy should be jailed and banned for life from football. fecking prick.

Common assault and battery, he'll get a community order and also be charged with running onto a football pitch.

Burglary in a dwelling is the more serious offence, he'd be sent down for that.

Football stuff seems to get much stiffer sentences. The guys having a ruck with scousers in the Europa all got sent down. Happens outside a pub and feck all happens.

I think this deserves it's own thread to be fair.

To be fair, the fans have watched other teams players spend all season kicking the shit out of Grealish up and down pitches with zero care and attention from referees.

Only to be expected that fans assumed he's fair game.

Little guy wearing a flat cap? Reminds me of Alan Ball. Not that he would have done such a thing.

If people went to prison for throwing a punch we'd need to build a lot more prisons
Not often someone storms a pitch to punch a footballer in the face on live TV though. Pretty sure assault can be punishable by time behind bars, and in a case like this they'd want to make an example of the twat do that.

Wow! What a fecking idiot! Can't believe he was able to get that far onto the pitch untouched. I hope he enjoys being arrested and whatever other punishment comes his way. As for Birmingham, a behind closed doors game would be fitting punishment for that.

Photo being used in the newspapers makes the attack look like a crime of passion.

Comes just a day or so after someone getting stabbed/knifed in Birmingham itself, could of been alot worse! Little guy syndrome thinking he's a peaky blinder.

At the risk of sounding like a detective dipshit, is that 'Z' on his back in any way related to the Birmingham Zulus?

That little dash looks like the most exercise he's had (and will have) all year.

Should play their home games behind closed doors for the rest of the season and their away quota should be cut in half.
