So how do we think this'll go then? How will Barca line up? How should we line up?

Gonna get a whooping I reckon. Still will be a great game to watch - i don't expect us to take it lying down.

I think we are going to lose, but hopefully we keep fighting like we did vs PSG. In CL you never know, we can draw inspiration from Chelsea.

Also our luck this year has been shit when it comes to draws.

In CL we played Juventus in group stage, then PSG, Barca. If we win then might be Liverpool
In FA Cup we played Arsenal away, Chelsea away and now we will play Wolves away.

I just hope we do ourselves justice at Old Trafford.

I believe it ends here. Ole or not I can't see this defence being able to cope with the offensive power that Barca has. They are a different monster compared to PSG and they also have the winning mentality in their roots unlike those french bottlers. It was by far the absolute worst draw we could ever have gotten.

Happy to have Barcelona, it's the draw I honestly and truly wanted!!!

If you're gonna go out, you might as well go out to Messi tbh. But who knows what might happen :)

Remember what PSG did to us at home? Barca will do that to us too, and away at the nou camp.

I think 4-1 Barca on aggregate.

Purely in terms of football, I welcome the opportunity. Should be much more fun to play against Barcelona than any english team. Juventus also we played in the group. But our run in the CL ends here I am afraid.

We have a 1% chance, roughly. We'll be almost certainly outplayed in both legs and must pray for insane profligacy on the parts of their attackers. Hopefully, De Gea will be in God mode.

4-1 on aggregate. Maybe lose 1-0 at home and 3-1 away.

Yes I'm pessimistic.
 what's the point?

You've literally just seen us complete the most ridiculous comeback without a lot of our best players yet you have no hope whatsoever? I just don't understand such negative mentalities. Yes, we may well go out but what's the point in not remaining positive about it? Lyon were in the tie and they certainly aren't unbeatable.

Yikes. Messi to score 3+ over the 2 legs. Still buzzing for it though!

I actually think we're going to do them

If Roma can knock them out then we can. Dont forget the Chelsea went there and knocked them out as well on route to Di Matteo's win

Jesus you're all a bunch of fannies. There is no achievement in reaching the Semi Finals by beating Porto just to have to face a team you're afraid of.

We're gonna beat Barcelona. I'm more worried about a United vs City final.

I think we can really stuff Barca, their defending is shambolic for the most part and they no longer this high pressing and intensity side they used to be, there's a reason they got shown up by bloody Roma last year and can't get past QF hurdle for years now.

In many ways these two matches are a free hit as many people fairly thought we wouldn't get past PSG after the result at Old Trafford and the injury crisis. With this in mind I'm just looking forward to an exciting couple of games, hopefully living up to the attacking ethos both clubs share. I also suspect we have a slightly better chance than many will be thinking despite it still overall being a slim possibility. If we can get to their place being the only team with the opportunity to score an away goal, I think we'll be in with a shot, could get nervy for them with our pace on the counter on that big pitch.

We'll beat 'em.

The bigger they are the harder they fall. We're much better as a counter attacking team and I'm confident about this draw.

Last season Roma played well against Barca and eliminated them. So we do have a decent chance if we can play without fear and take our chances.

Get a grip, anyone that constantly watches can tell they are nothing special under Valverde, defensively they do not work really hard and tend to give away a lot chances we just need to take them. Roma was by far the better team last year during their encounters and they haven't changed much in terms of tactics and personnel since last year.

Not to mention if Lyon can hold them to a 0-0 we should be able to as well

Need to get over the OT stage fright we have seen this season against Juve and PSG though

Getting Barcelona in the knockouts of the Champions League doesnt happen too often in a footballers career. Bet the lads are buzzing at this tie.

I think we can hurt Barcelona as long as we have a fit squad.

At least their style of play suits our counter style well. Only drawback is, they are really fecking good executing their style of play.

Bottom line though, everything goes through Messi. Keep him relatively quiet, and we're in with a shout.

Line up and flood the midfield (Matic/Herrera/Lingard/Pogba), keeping Rashford and Martial up top to try and make use of pace on the counter.

I'm not confident, but I look forward to it. At the very least, if we do get done in, we get to witness Messi's greatness.

If we win this playing Liverpool would be a walk in the park compared to the previous 2 rounds. If we had any chance of winning the CL this year we needed an easy draw. We got the hardest possible I think. We’ve been fecked over by our draws this season.

It will be enjoyable seeing such big games again after a couple of years in the wilderness.

We are not going to beat them, but even two draws will make it.

1-1 at OT and 2-2 at Nou Camp.

It's like I'm reading some depression suicide watch thread, what's wrong with you all?

We will win. Not in a pretty way but we will.

Not much to lose - Barca are favourites anyway. Which suits us perfect. 65:35 Barca to progress though.

We'll do them on the counter at their place. Messi hasn't done much in Europe over the last four year due to where he plays so we have to take advantage of that.
We also need to keep the ball better at home, we try to dribble through deep defences too much which stretches our play apart and we lose it in dangerous positions. We're a bit more direct away from home and we are a lot better for it.

Aye. There's no point pretending most of us wouldn't have preferred Porto for the better chance of progressing, but these are the kind of ties dreams are made of.
