Tell me who these lots of players are that find themselves in the same situation as Rabiot?

1. Icardi
2. Erm....

You're talking bollocks for some reason. Are you French? You're going to weird lengths to defend what everyone else can see.
Which situation? He is banished because he doesn't want to sign a contract, it has nothing to do with an attitude issue, his manager wants him to play and he has no issue with other players.

You are comparing him to a player that has threatened fans of bringing hundreds of criminals to take care of them, slept with a teammates wife. You have players that have been fighting with their teammates on the training pitch, several players that have used racial slurs, multiple players caught driving under the influence of alcohol, players that have fell out with managers and clubs. In France we have a team that decided to go on strike during the world cup which is no different to Rabiot's letter, at PSG Aurier was insulting teammates and manager.

Rabiot problems are limited to three things, he has a high opinion of himself, moans a lot and he sent a ridiculous letter because he was hurt to not be at the WC.

This thread is funny. Yaya Toure was entitled and his agent was crazy but he turned out alright. Neymar is also a twat and his Dad is bonkers.

Young midfielder with no fee that is already playing at a high level. We always talk about how we rely too much on Pogba to play out of midfield. This is a no brainer.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus

So he wasn't suspended because of him liking posts which celebrated PSG being knocked out or anything like that. You know what, it doesn't matter what the official line on what he was banished for is, which supporter would really want that sort of bullshit at United? I posted an article which mentions previous misdemeanors which made him look like a self entitled prick. I don't even know why you're trying to defend him. If he'd done something wrong once then fair enough, but thats so far from the truth.

And also you said lots of players moan like Rabiot. Who are they? Who else pulls out of their first tour with the first team because their mum isn't allowed to attend? Who else pisses off an entire nation by throwing their toys out of the pram when they aren't selected for international duty? The guy is an absolute joke and you want to try and defend all this? Good luck, you'll have to be Johnnie Cochran reincarnated to convince me he's not bad news and that we wouldn't be absolute morons to bring him into an already unstable group, to play a position he doesn't want to play.

He has been benched in december because he doesn't want to sign a new contract, Henrique communicated about it at the time, he has been shortly banished from the first team in January for no reason at all and the club has been warned by the league which saw him comeback to the team, they then tried to use his absence from Doha against him even though they allowed it at the time and was due to serious reasons.
I'm also not sure if you actually read the article for example you are using an event(the tour) concerning a 17 years old player who is particularly close to his mum due to a difficult context, there is nothing particularly bad about it but you somehow try to turn it into something big.

I'm not defending him since he irritates me, I don't really want him at the club particularly because his mum is a pain, but you have been trying to paint him as a particularly bad individual that has done immoral things which isn't the case. Also he isn't disliked by an entire nation, he is like Evra not very popular but plenty of people supported him when he made the letter and still do.

The problem with this kid is not that he's unskilled or mismanaged, he'll be great for many clubs that can afford to take a gamble on him.

United can't afford to take more gambles on players with crappy attitude or kids with potential. The combination of both is hard pass.

We need players that will join and contribute right away for the next 2 seasons at least.

I like the way he play. I think his style will suit us. On free, it is almost a no brainer (if the wage demand is reasonable).

He's a better version of matic to be honest, and if we get him for free then we should be moving on Matic and replace him with rabiot as I don't see rabiot as The answer to ongoing midfield problems.

This is exactly the kind of deal you would see a club like Juventus or Bayern jump on, and when he’s doing the business for them we have people complaining “why can’t we pick up deals like that?”

And yet in this instance neither have, doesn't that tell you something?

Considering how poor we’ve been in the transfer market in the Woodward-era, We’re probably waiting for Fellaini to score a few more in the Chinese League before paying 3x what we sold him for to get him back

I will be amazed if we do sign him. We very rarely do big name free transfers, with the notable exception not having done too badly for us, also coming straight from PSG. If it were up to me, I'd have him snapped up in a minute.

I believe we should sign two midfielders, its already a disgrace that the club was recommended Goretzka (for free) and we seemingly had no interest.

I'd take Rabiot and either a Ndombele or Neves. In theory we would only have to pay a sign on fee and then whatever the transfer / wages are for the latter two.

His Youtube highlights seem to consist of nipping in to make a challenge using his pace, running through the midfield, playing through balls and taking speculative shots. If we replace Herrera with this guy I'll be really disappointed.

Need not worry. His chance to join MU is almost zero. MU doesn't even want Ramsey on a free, so let alone Rabiot.

Rabiot doesn't like playing in a defensive position, he wants to play as an eight or as a #10

That's kind of wrong. He wants to be able to do both defend and attack, as far as I know he has never wanted to play as a #10 or as an attacking player.

He's still young and have very good potential to improve. If you're looking for a finish product nowadays, you have to spend 70m and upward, of which that money is better spent on other position(s).

Imo a player shouldn't be judged on his YouTube highlights, because they mostly favour flair players.

Take Kante for example, his highlights are probably not impressive at all, yet he's one of the best DM's in football nowadays. Same can be said for Busquets, Casemiro etc.

He was Bayern bound since the day he refused to re-sign with Schalke, don't be naive. Rarely, if ever, does Bayern allow domestic talent to leave Bundesliga on a free transfer.

And dominating Barcelona.

He is a top player with some attitude problems. I love Herrera, but Rabiot is better (and Herrera can always take Matic's position).

@JPRouve - Adrien's mum confirmed :p.

In all seriousness though, I honestly don't buy the fact he's some destructive force. That ethics bonus is double shady as well.
He's probably a bit of a diva. But as we've seen with Evra, PSG are a diva club as well.

Yeah I mean, I'm not trying to say he's plain sailing either. He'll definitely need some managing. Managers like Ole, Klopp, Rodgers, that seem to just constantly big up their players would work well with him - hardliners would not. Ancelotti works well with him too. If it wasn't for the money aspect, I could very much seem him in Naples.

No brainer of a signing IMO we need to hit PSG where it hurts and get him.

Going into next season, with poor quality back-up to the main three in midfield, and with questions marks even surrounding that trio, would be madness.

We need to show ambition if we want to compete with the top teams and bringing in Rabiot would be a good start.

He actually remind me of a much much faster Matic with a way better engine, both are silky when being pressured on the ball and can get out of tricky situations

This story told me NEVER..NEVER use your mother as your agent. She obviously didn't do the best for her client and let her client suffer 6 months with no football in his professional career due to her handling of contract negotiation. Can you ever imagine CR7 or Messi get into this kind of mess?
