Felix Nmecha with England again which suggests he's leaning this way now. He's one of the better dual nationals to play for two England and another country recently.

Yep. He has missed the last few weeks for Derby.
Makes sense. Was a bit concerned with a worrying trend for the senior team and the 21s in terms of the midfield. Most of the other areas seem to have evolved or modernised, whereas the midfields have a lot of old-school profile of players. Mount is one of those you want inducted from now. Lewis Cook is another who could have been capped by now.

Interesting that Maitland-Niles didn’t get a called. He’s been doing well recently, has loads of caps at all levels, won the u20 World Cup and can play in multiple positions. The u21s are desperate for a CM and he can play there.

Cook has been capped. Injured at the moment.

A strong and young u21 squad for Poland and Germany - Hudson Odoi in.

The goalkeeper position is strong, as is the defence. Centre midfield is weakish but a three of Choudhury, Davies and Foden/Maddison is good enough at this level.

The wide forward positions are pretty stacked to say the least: Gray, Hudson Odoi, Lookman, Nelson, Sessegnon and Barnes!

Striker positions are decent enough.
No Maitland-Niles is a joke....he should be in the squad and not Walker-Peters.

Nelson but not Bowen is a joke too.

Gomes is a massive stand out in that u19 squad. Needs to stamp his authority on those games.

Interested to see how Vieira gets on with the 20s as well.

Its a strong squad in fairness. Aarons is Norwich's first choice right back and they are top of the Championship. Lamptey is a fantastic right back too. Panzo and Guehi are top prospects at centre back. Saka has appeared for Arsenal seniors this season and impressed. Gomes and Gibbs-White we know about. Nmecha is a really talented player and Appiah, Mceachran, Sessegnon and Eyoma have all stood out at youth international level.

This team should be our starting XI in Armenia :D

Ashby-Hammond - Aarons, Panzo, Guehi, R.Sessegnon - Foden, Garner, Gibbs-White - Sancho, M.Greenwood, Hudson-Odoi

4-1 to England

Saka was man of the match. I think he's the only one from the lasts years Euro u17s squad to be promoted past the u18s. He's already impressed for Arsenal seniors in the EL this year so he could be in for a fast progression.

The U20's have lost 1-3 against Poland :houllier: (Nketiah has scored the goal in 57th minute)....so they have no chance anymore to win the Elite League (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018–19_Under_20_Elite_League#League_table).

Starting XI
Schofield - T.Edwards, T.Chalobah, Godfrey, Pearce - Embleton, Dozzell, Field - Diangana, Nketiah, McNeil

Disappointing from the u20s but the squad isn't great in fairness. It kind of looks like a lot of England youth squads used to, a smattering of talents but mostly uninspiring.

Surprised Jayden Bogle has been ignored at Derby County. He's played against some really good sides in the Cups this season and looked very good. First teamer all season for Derby and not even a look in. Also a bit shocked Ellis Simms isn't in the England setup, he's bossed it for Evertons youth team.

Anyway, assessing the squads, i'd say the below players are the ones I know about in particular and look pretty decent. Some of the others I know about and don't look all that good, the majority I haven't really heard much about.

Reece James (Wigan Athletic, loan from Chelsea)
Dwight McNeil (Burnley)
Max Aarons (Norwich City)
Jonathan Panzo (AS Monaco)
Lewis Gibson (Everton)
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Morgan Gibbs-White (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Angel Gomes (Manchester United)
Felix Nmecha (Manchester City)
George McEachran (Chelsea)
Rekeem Harper (West Bromwich Albion)
Ethan Laird (Manchester United)
James Garner (Manchester United)

Yes Bogle should be in the U19 squad imo.

I don't rate Simms so highly (He could play for Poland and Jamaica too). No call-ups for Brown (Chelsea) or Griffiths (Lyon) are the bigger shocks for me.

The U17's are playing their first Euro qualification game (They have had a bye in the first qualification round) against Switzerland in Silkeborg.

They are 2-0 up after 34 minutes.....Rogers (He has already played for West Bromwich's first-team) and Greenwood with the goals....very easy game so far the Young Lions.

Croatia have won 3-2 against Denmark in the other game.

Starting XI
Moulden - Livramento, Wood-Gordon, Harwood-Bellis, Roberts - Azeez, Weir, Madueke - Elliot, S.Greenwood, Rogers
Subs
Knight -> Elliott 75
Gelhardt -> S.Greenwood 82
Mighten -> Madueke 86
Bench
Trafford, Mengi, Bondswell, Musah, Bate & Peart-Harris

3-0 up at half-time....Greenwood has scored again.

They should lead 5-0 (Greenwood and Elliott have missed massive chances).....England are 3-4 level better than Switzerland (Switzerland's first qualification games were pretty poor).

I think Chowdhury would have been better. A pure DM. No AWB, is he injured?
I would have played Davies against Poland and Chowdhury against Germany because they have much more quality in midfield with Dahoud, Amiri, Maier & Neuhaus (I have watched their friendly against France).

Rumours that Wan-Bissaka and possible Abraham will get a call-up to the senior squad tonight.
