He’s not doing it for the money, that I can assure you of.
I'm thinking more he see's Bayern as a step up right now in a footballing sense.

Which as much as I hate to say it is fair enough, at our current level of the last few years it isn't actually that much different to Hazard leaving Lillie for us back in 2012.

I think we need to show him we have the ambition to compete with the likes of Bayern, which will be next to impossible with the transfer ban.

We're currently doing a lot to make it a level playing field. We'll fight you for the Europa League soon at this rate.

RLC will probably always be susceptible to injuries, he grew too quickly for his body type as a youth and is suffering for it now. He’s still more effective in 5minutes than Barkley and Kovacic are combined across 90, sadly.

Regarding CHO - Can’t expect an 18 year old to be great every single game, let alone when he’s barely had a chance to adjust to Premier League football with a run of games. I’m a ST holder in MHU and I’d say 90% of us have given up totally on Willian, it’s a waste of time giving him minutes as he’s holding out for a crazy bump in wages to re-sign, offers little over 90 minutes, slows our play down AND is getting on in age.

As for United fans thinking they could tempt us with an offer for CHO, yeah nice joke. We sell to rivals when we want to move on players we don’t want, not people we are desperate to keep. CHO will indeed be off to Bayern, which is a shame as circumstances have meant he should have gotten the minutes he was after to extend.
Yes i agree, i hear the moans about Willian, but he still has that something to offer, albeit less consistently now. Think he will go this summer if the ban gets lifted which i think it will.... Pedro could be off, too. HUge summer ahead i think (ban decision pending)

I think we should go for him rather than Sancho, looks a better prospect.

Because he looked sharper playing for 15 minutes against a well beaten team last night apparently.

Not doubting CHO isn't going to be a great player himself, if the opportunity arose I would be happy to take him too. Chelsea will sell him abroad long before he gets the chance to leave on a free anyway.

It must be frustrating for Chelsea fans that Sarri plays Pedro ahead of him

I agree - CHO looks like a really good prospect but Sancho an absolute player - technique and vision, quality in his dribbling and passing.

I just like the look of him, looks more direct, confident and positive. Don't get me wrong though Sancho looks a terrific prospect as well.
I'd agree that CHO is more direct, but he relies more on pace and doesn't have quite the same level of 'craft' as Sancho.

I'm with you really, he's really aggressive in his play, although I think he and Sancho are a similar level. I don't really think CHO has any weakness in his game as a winger/wide forward.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
Rashford played in 19 games, all comps, in his debut season (when he same age as CHO is now). Alexander-Arnold played 12.

It's only January, Chelsea are still in all comps and CHO has 9 games already. Provided he does not leave or get injured he'll get close to Rashfords number of games.
He's now played in 18 games for Chelsea and 1 for England. That's 19! 5 goals and 2 assists as well.

Just need some league starts please Mr Sarri.

Got shut down immediately when i suggested this chap is a better deal at the price than Sancho would go for. Yeah i get that Sancho is playing more and showing therefore more, but Odoi would tear it apart at Dortmund as well. You must be blind to not think this would be very likely, Chelsea are holding him back, but he is a beast waiting to be unleashed. They are different players, but their impact and talent is similar. Whoever gets him will make a great deal.

Because Chelsea would prefer not to sell to a direct rival and even if they do, will probably add a United tax that makes the price closer to Sancho.

The argumentation was not that. It was more like 40m for Odoi or 120m for Sancho, who would you take. People were making out like Sancho is the next Messi because he puts in some good numbers in the Bundesliga, because he was fortunate enough to move first and get play time. Odoi is on a similar level, and to me would be the better deal, even if he isnt playing regularly for Chelsea to show it.

I wouldn't mind CHO at all, but the fact that we havent been linked suggests that a deal would probably be too difficult. I would expect Chelsea to quote us 65-75m, if they are even willing to talk to us. But yeah he looks really exciting, can definitely understand why Bayern pushed so hard for him.

Does Hudson Odoi play mainly on the right or is he as comfortable on the left? If he could perform on the left, I would love to buy both him and Sancho.

I see him lose the ball quite often. He has good sparks and bursts but I'm still not seeing the hype.

How long has he left on his contract?

Chelsea would be bonkers to lose him, especially with Pedro, Willian being over 30 and Hazard almost certainly leaving.

He's better on the left and played there far more often coming through at Chelsea.

Put this on mute and see most of the time he's on the left.

Cheers, does Sarri play him on the right? Pretty sure that's where I've seen him for you this season.

Obviously I don't expect us to sign him from Chelsea, but I would love someone like him on the left as I don't see Martial or Rashford excelling there.

CHO, Martial, Rashford, Lukaku, Sancho would break down any system.

The most dispossessed players in Europe are

1. Zaha - 4.3 per game
2. Neymar - 4.2 per game
5. Salah - 3.3 per game
22. Messi - 2.6 per game
25. Pogba - 2.5 per game
29. Sterling - 2.5 per game

The same player's unsuccessful touches per game are:

1. Zaha - 3.5 per game
2. Neymar - 4.3 per game
5. Salah - 3 per game
22. Messi - 1.5 per game
25. Pogba - 2.2 per game
29. Sterling - 2.1 per game

Hudson Odoi, done per 90 mins because of limited games in the PL are (limited data set)

1.5 dispossessions and 3.8 unsuccessful touches.

In the EL (bigger data set)

1.3 dispossessions and 2 unsuccessful touches.

Sancho is in the BL

1.8 dispossessions and 2.9 unsuccessful touches

in the CL

1.6 dispossessions and 3.7 unsuccessful touches

He is better on the left. Similar to Martial his best move is cutting inside and finishing with his right foot. He can play on the right as well because he's a very good crosser so can play the more traditional right footed winger role.

I was also very impressed when he played as a 10 for England in the u17 Euros, he was really good at find space to pick up the ball and advance the play.

He hasn't played much true, my point was that I think you underestimate just how much other top players of his type lose the ball.

I don't think he is profligate in that regard. In fact I'd say that his technique is tighter than average. You have to factor in that he's coming to terms with the speed of the senior game too.

Letting him go will be even a bigger mistake than De Bruyne etc. He's going to be class!
