This will be shit, just like his other films. I hate every film I've ever seen, so that's about 50,000 hours I'll never get back. I only like shadow puppet performances based on old Latvian fairy tales about illiterate sheep.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to have a late lunch, because having lunch at a normal time is pointless. I won't be eating anything though, because food is shit. I'll just sit with my phone and complain about a film I don't like on an online forum and how it's time I'll never get back. Which is a great use of my time.

He peaked at Dusk till Dawn. Can’t stand anything else he has done. Only thing that is peaking intrest as per usual in his recent films is the actors he is casting.

Came here to be entertained by the teaser. Was entertained by the thread instead.

I know Tarantino is someone you either love or completely hate. My wife likes none of his movies. She does not even like Django and I have no clue how anyone cannot like that movie. But she wouldn't go as far as claiming that it's "shit". She is aware it's a great movie, just not for her.

I haven’t got a clue what this is meant to be about, and I love Tarantino movies on the whole.

Have you watched the movie it's ripped off from though?
Infernal Affairs, yes. Have you ever read Proust in French? Or just the translated version where they added a massive dildo for no reason?
Actually, have you seen the original film or read the book they based the "Muppet Christmas Carol" on? Bet you haven't.

Who reads Proust though? Shit in any language.

And Muppets Christmas Carol doesn't just rip off Christmas Carol scene by scene, add a bit of spicy dialogue and then put a shit ending in does it, or am I remembering it wrong?

Hey, hey, hey. Let's not drag The Muppet Christmas Carol into this.

I usually just read summaries of Proust's work, it's more than enough to appreciate the said work.

Er, well, Swann, Swann, there's this house, there's this house, and er, it's in the morning, it's in the morning - no, it's the evening, in the evening and er, there's a garden and er, this bloke comes in - bloke comes in - what's his name - what's his name, er just said it - big bloke - Swann, Swann...

Have you seen Inception though? Or Shutter Island or the Departed? Never get those hours back.
I strongly advise you to never watch Shawshank redemption, The Godfather, the good the bad and the ugly, green mile, once upon a time in America, interstellar, good will hunting, catch me if you can, princess Mononoke, fight club, and Gran Torino. Just a quick list of movies from the top of my head that you probably wouldn’t enjoy. I’m trying to help you to steer clear of other films you probably wouldn’t enjoy!

Never been a big Tarantino fan. Enjoyed Pulp Fiction and Django though. Intrigued by this one.

This doesn't look great so far - I'm worrying it's going to be like Hail Cesar (showing us a nostalgic vision of Hollywood with very little happening)

But it's only a teaser after all.

I reckon the Sharon Tate character will survive her ordeal and get revenge on the Manson family - a bit of alternate universe kind of stuff (like Hitler getting shot up in the theatre in IB)

Well let's take Kill Bill out of the equation, because that's another 6h of life that nobody is getting back. But yes, all of those are entertaining films. And Tarantino even dies in a much deserved tortuous manner in From Dusk til Dawn which is great. Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are boring, wanky, contrived, derivative skid marks on the Y-fronts of cinema. Though they're nowhere near as bad as all the dogshit films you didn't mention like Hateful 8, Inglorious etc.
Wow! I can't tell if your taking the piss or not. Tarantino and boring don't really go hand in hand.
But I respect anyone's view. I would be interested to know the types or films you approve of. Care to share?

Obertans #1 fan.
Tbf I love Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Basterds but really disliked Hateful eight and thought that Django was a real letdown.

@TwoSheds Please write a list of your all-time favourite movies so I can make sure to never watch them:lol:

Apparently Tarantino talked to Sharon Tate's sister about his plans for this movie and she was on-board so I don't expect him to go full Tarantino with this one.

Can't wait. Love all Tarantino films apart from Death Proof (which is awful) and Jackie Brown (which I haven't seen).

Of course Tarantino would hire Emile Hirsch. I'm so surprised.
All in all, looks like another terribly narcissistic Tarantino movie, that serves no other purpose, but the mental masturbation of a bullied little boy, never grown up, full of hatred and fantasies of revenge, without a shred of decency or any redeeming qualities whatsoever. Another violent, yet silent scream into the void of a lost childhood. It will look good, though. As all his movies do. But rarely is that enough to overshadow the horrible plot and subtext of his movies.

It's basically my standard response to anything Tarantino related. Can't stand the guy, his movies are overrated as feck and its an absolute shame, that he came out of the Weinstein scandal without any negative consequences.

Yeah, pity for you a man didn't have his career completely destroyed just because you don't like his movies. Unlucky.
