Ashwin @AR87, Ed @That'sHernandez and Rob @VanGaalyTime look back at the disappointing loss to Arsenal at the Emirates and dispiriting effort in getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Wolves. They discuss Ole's tactical approach and lineup choices in the first downturn in form under Ole, as well as discussing individual player performances.

Hey guys

Apparently there was an issue with this so I've had to delete the episode - we'll reupload in a few hours

Sorry!

Have to laugh at Rashford giving anyone a bollocking for bad passing or failing to spot a run, his decision making is woeful a large percentage of times.
I think Rashford is growing into a stronger player mentally, and with that confidence comes the ability to "motivate" the guys around him. I'm not sure it's ideal that he's bollocking others, particularly as a younger player, but in some ways it's a positive sign.

Thanks guys, enjoyed it.
I almost forgot about podcasts with talk about losses haha.

Fully agree that the Arsenal game was a one off, weird-ish game. We weren't bad but things just weren't gonna go our way.

I don't necessarily mind it, but timing and circumstance need to be appropriate. As I discussed on the pod it felt like everybody was pressing and one of the results was Rashford and Pogba throwing strops at weird times.

Onwards and upwards. Hopefully.

Cheers! Yeah as I mentioned in the Pod, I think the issue with the Arsenal game was simply not taking our chances and Leno playing well. De Gea having an off game and getting that penalty given against us didn't help, but it could easily have been 2-2 or even 3-2 United. Wolves game was quite different, but again many big teams will and have struggled against Wolves. I still believe it's a small blip and we'll get back to form against Watford on Saturday. Hopefully with it being at home we can be a little more adventurous. I'd also like to see Fred given more time this weekend.

nice debut from @VanGaalyTime - a bit of Owen Hargreaves in your mongrel accent !

obviously this was the most negative pod for some time, was a lot of complaints about starting line up vs Wolves but I didnt have much problem with it - those players coming back form injury needed minutes and FA Cup (our lowest priority) is the right time to give it them. Realistically with all the injuries we had, fighting on 3 fronts was going to be too much so Im not too upset about the cup loss although the performance was worrying - the plus side is that we get a full week to prepare for Barcelona.

Thanks mate! We're very similar but this mongrel has better knees and worse hair.

Yeah I didn't have too much of an issue with the Wolves starting line-up, but I think the main problem was rushing all of the injured players back for the same game. Thought we could have brought one or two back into the team straight away and kept fully fit high energy midfielders (Fred and Mctominay) in for a game that was going to be won and lost in midfield. As you said, the FA Cup was the lowest priority so hopefully this means we can focus on securing third place now and giving Barcelona a decent match.

Anything new in the pipeline? I need to hear some familiar voices tell me it will all be alright.
