Definitely a player in there I think. I can’t I see what I saw during his first season. He was also impressive at Palace last season, however, Fulham has been a disaster.

Whatever happens with him, it will be of no great surprise to me if he turns out to be a very good player wherever he plays.

He’s just not good enough for the top level. He’ll have a good career somewhere but it won’t be with us. he’s a poor mans kyle walker and unfortunately he doesn’t have the good side of him either.

He's very good physically and usually good with his challenges. Made a nice tackle in that first half too.

The error to set up the goal was far too casual with his pass. He's also tried a couple of other, much better passes. But ultimately some of those were intercepted too even if they were an inventive/good idea in theory.

Clearly his decision making needs improvement. It'll only get better with playing weekly

Has a great song, but no way he'll be a squad player for us going forward.
A shame, but you have to be pretty good - and that's after people think a lot of our current squad aren't good enough!

Great tackle....not a pen for me
Not sure it was "great", as he completely missed the ball on the initial lunge, but just about touched it in the end to avoid it being a pen.

In a few more seasons I can imagine TFM playing for good mid-table teams and being a solid, rounded player.
I think that's his ceiling.

Find it baffling that people mention him as part of the squad next season. Should make a permanent move this summer and get playing time.

With Scott McTominay and Matic as our CDM-options it wouldn't be unreasonable for Ole to at least have a look at TFM during pre-season. Our right-back position isn't exactly well stocked either, could be a good defensive full-back alternative to the attacking Dalot.

I think the issue here is people hyped him up based on athleticism and little else. There are a large number of posters who had somehow convinced themselves he should be in the Manchester United midfield and any suggestion that he couldn't were met with hostility. Mental stuff.

I dont think he should be considered a failure for not meeting completely unrealistic expectations. There's nothing to say he cant have a decent career as a defender elsewhere. I'd say he could do quite well in the Dutch league for example. Maybe in time he can establish himself at a weaker PL team. Theres no shame in it at all.

Garbage, damn. Give me him and Axel over Jones and Young/Darmian/Valencia, any day.

If he's crap then why do Ajax want him back to replace De Ligt?
He isn t crap, some talent is there, but Ajax want him because he was their youth player and highly rated there. They also can afford to give him game time and develop him as the second best team miles before anyone else in that league. If he turns out to be a beast, they can sell him in a few years and if not, they have a decent homegrown squad player. I doubt their main plan is Mensah to replace De Ligt, they probably will buy another one and see who can step up and make their mark and fill the void. Thats how they do it, buy players and improve them or make them from their youth team.

Supporting your team doesnt mean pretending players are better than they are.
It means giving your own players respect. Nobody said you have to rate him, but dismissing him outright as "crap" is very insulting. You dont rate him, say so. Dont call our young players crap

So the truth is that his performance today was decent, but it was ruined by 1 big mistake with a careless pass that led to a goal.

He won the ball well for Fulham, a couple of good sliding tackles, 3 well blocked shots. And he actually had the 5th highest pass accuracy from Fulham whilst making the 4th most passes. So his distribution in general was fine.

But yeah that one big mistake that led to City opening the scoring ruined an otherwise decent performance

He's better than Odoi for Fulham, but he needs to be playing weekly for someone to improve his decision making and thats not going to happen at United. If he gets a move and starts for another team I think he can still be a good player.
