I thought his celebration was great, he had every right to celebrate how he wanted after enduring racist chants for most of the game. 50:50 my arse, what a moronic comment from Bonucci, as a senior player he should be defending his team mate. What's the deal with ultras in Italy by the way? I see stories about this topic fairly frequently compared to other big footballing nations, is anything being done to try and change the attitude there?

Is there a lot of racism in Italy? Not talking about football matches, but in society in general?

Italy is a disgrace, something like this seems to happen every other game and nothing is done about it. Bonucci is an absolute moron for his defending those cnuts too.

Allegri at it too, saying he should take some of the blame.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47793676

Bit shocking really
The entire context of what Allegri says needs to be taken into account. He doesn't blame Kean for their racism. He only highlights Kean's immaturity in provoking the crowd. Allegri then goes on to address the crowd's racism, clarifies that they ought to be located individual and then subsequently banned for life.

Allegri doesn't blame the racism on Kean. He simply just highlights that Kean's provocation leads to racists having an excuse to target him in return.

The racism occured prior to the celebration and there is no excuse for it. To try and justify their actions is stupid and reckless of Allegri.

Indeed, which makes every conceivable on-field action ever the more a matter of careful consideration. Nothing worse than given racists the excuse to further escalate their vitriol.

Which is terrible in itself because in doing so he changes the narrative. Kean was already being abused before "the provocation".

You're completely missing the point of why people like Kean, Sterling etc., react in the way that they have to these actions and in doing so you've thrown yourself into the Allegri and Bonucci group. Congrats.

His teammates and manager should be standing with him. It's very very sad tbh. defend Ronaldo in the rape case but blame a player for his reaction to racial abuse? What a scum.

So you just take racism with dignity?
As a black man myself, I want to say that my emotions wouldn't get the better of me. I want to say that I wouldn't choose to celebrate in the face of such adversity, but I also realise that dealing with the issue of racism needs to be deterred in more comprehensive and collective ways. Like Allegri said. Targeted individuals and subsequent banning, lifetime in scope.

I understand what Allegri is saying but I don't agree with him. Unless these players do something themselves, nothing will happen, because the football associations are clearly not doing much, if anything. I think the next time this happens, the whole team should walk off. Better yet, BOTH teams.

On Bonucci (from Juventuz.com):

Balotelli ripping into Bonucci on social media now.

You know you’re a fecking retard, when Balotelli can hold the moral high-ground over you.

Well said. Very disappointing from Bonucci.

Chiellini is...

"The only thing I want to say is that Moise is an asset to Italian football," he told Juventus' in-house television channel.

"He's a golden boy who is doing the best he can, so he mustn't be targeted for what he isn't.

"I've reviewed the images because, on the pitch, you don't even realise what's happening and he did nothing.

"We must think of Moise as we do [Nicolo] Zaniolo, [Federico] Chiesa and [Nicolo] Barella - as a positive figure for Italian football because he deserves it."

Chiellini added: "The only thing he did wrong tonight was the dive, which he certainly won't do again.

"He's here to learn, he's 19, but he's a very good lad and he didn't deserve the insults he received."

Juve who'll likely make a move for Icardi in the summer ?
What with Ronaldo,Dybala,Mando and Higuain still on the books, plus countless other offensive players, maybe Kean, after facing this racist abuse in a country that does very little about it, will consider his future.Who can blame him ?
As a Juve fan, I'll be very sad to see him leave, but after yesterday it will be understandable. In fact the racism and Bonnuci's stupidity could play bigger role than our attacking options.

Mandzu is getting old, we don't want Higuain, Dybala's future is unknown as is Icardi transfer and only Cristiano is sure to be a starter.

I just dont get why there is such a big problem with racism in Italy.

Funny that Bonucci said that he's young and he'll learn! He himself should be taught a thing or two! Dick.

If I were him I would leave Juve. Who needs team mates like Chiellini? Shocking to be honest.

He did not justify it at all. He clearly spoke out against it. I also don't think he implied that the racist chants were a reaction to Kean's "provocation". That's why "the racism occured prior to the celebration" doesn't cut it. At face value, all he says is that Kean should not react to a hostile/racist crowd. You can acknowledge that the racisms occured irregardless of Kean's behaviour, you can put all blame on those who make racist chants and still think he shouldn't react the way he did. The two are not mutually exclusive. I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with what Allegri says. Obviously, people can disagree whether you should react to those idiots or not. He thinks one shouldn't, which is fair enough.

That said, I also don't think there was much wrong with Kean's celebration. In fact, I thought it was fairly level headed for someone his age. He was on a yellow, roughed up and insulted all match, but kept his head, scored and celebrated fairly appropriately. Well done!

I would be disgusted to play with Bonucci again after he seriously claimed that 50% of the blame for this fell to me. The mind just boggles at how someone can be that stupid.

On a side note, my respect and admiration for Sterling has gone up 1000% as a result of the stand he’s taken, continually pointing out racism in football, not just aimed at himself but other players. I really respect him for doing so.

Kean's celebration should be utterly irrelvant to the condemnation of the racist supporters.

So many people feel the exact same way as Bonucci (or worse) but they don't have the balls to say it out loud.
Instead they'll give lip service & participate in "kick racism out of football" campaigns, and we'll continue to wonder how these things keep happening in [insert current year]

Bonucci even put "regardless of everything, say no to racism" in his instagram story ffs

All those players and ex-players now calling Bonucci out over this and of course he's backtracking.

People like Bonucci show exactly why things don't seem to change! Half of what is said are simple platitudes from people who have no idea what it's like. His veil slipped and he is rightly being condemned. It's great to see how many people are publicly calling him and Allegri out. Will we ever be rid of this sort of behaviour? Sadly I feel like it's making a comeback if anything and the racists are feeling braver because they feel they have allies in high and public places.

What’s your take on it, Sergio? While you’re here, is Varane really coming to us in the summer?

Think the wording was poor from Bonucci and Allegri. I'd like to think that what they were trying to say is try not to antagonise a crowd full of cnuts otherwise the racist abuse might only get worse.
