Benfica's behaviour at the end said at all, Rafa and Pizzi are rats. Hope they never wear the national team shirt again.

Bruno Fernandes... no words. Svilar and Felix won't even have the Benfica media hype machine to save them for this one.

Going to Jamor again will be great, hopefully it goes better than the absolute disgrace that happened last year.

I won't be able to watch the final at the stadium but IF Sporting win I will be their for the Supertaca!

We need to redeem ourselves for the final last season ! it needs to be a turning of a leaf in the right direction in the same way last season it signaled the start of a bad time.

We better focus on the rest of the season because we all know finishing behind Braga or losing in the final is possible. Not even mentioning the precarious situation regarding if the coach stays, mood on the club etc etc.

Cracking goal. Was hoping for Rafa to punch someone but oh well, I'll have to settle for my brother's gigantic head right now.

For those who have followed them closely this season, do you see any hope of Porto getting past Liverpool?

Not really. Porto away with the qualification on the line could always turn ugly with the fans behind them but it would be a miracle.

Already thinking about the semifinals?

Well if Liverpool scores 2 own goals, receives 3 red cards and Klopp has to play against the wind they might have a chance, otherwise it will be solved on the first leg.

Also the only bad thing about Sporting winning da taca is it guarantees Keizer for next season and I think they is a BIG mistake.

Its not even better than the Porto teams he faced when he played for Sporting. Lisandro Lopez, Lucho Gonzalez, Hulk, Meireles, Bruno Alves, Bosingwa and so on.

Exactly I think Abel might have discovered a new drug or something.

Just wants to save his job. All the managers use that excuse when they lose. I agree that Keizer job isn't safe, and if they don't sign the right players to improve the team he won't survive many matches next season.

Anyway fedup with the current mood at the club, even on Sporting Forum you have guys wishing we lose just for him to be sacked or Varandas to fail. I am not a extremist, no matter who is in charge. Club always first.

I find that ridiculous. I agree Keizer is not the guy to take this team forward but come May 25th I don’t give a feck ! I want that god dam trophy.

One notion that bothers me in the forum for example is about the players who recinded their contracts to get better contracts and to leave and jeopardize the Club. RATOS like Rui Patrício ( still can’t belive he out of all people did that ) William, Gelson podence, leão I understand the hate because I hate them too players like bataglia and bas dost who used it to get more money and then also don’t produce as well I understand BUT every time I go to the Bruno Fernandes page and see people wishing he leaves the club and all this nonsense and calling him a snake is just stupid.... not only did he pay us back with his performances and carried us all season but he always defends the club on the pitch and his attitude is fantastic. He wears his heart on his sleeve every game yet fans still critisize...even after it was proven he did not get his wages increase just like he said and he always showed face to fans on social media who said bad to him or about the media.

Sorry for the rant but that was bothering me.

Unfortunately that Forum is loaded with extremists, and I blame the Mods because they look as extreme as them.

You might not like the current President, not like how the former one left, even those players who left I don't have no sympathy for them, but its not nice stories I heard during the Summer of players like Fernandes receiving threats, even if he didn't behaved well with us.

I don't like the power some members of Juve Leo had or still have on the club. Support? Yes. Not being a manso? Of course.

But trying to solve the problems everytime we lose by making threats to players? Not my way, and in the past I was one of them. Lots of shit there, you learn nothing with them. Ok, its a minority and we can't generalize, But this days I see them more as a problem than a solution to the club.

I don't want a club ruled by the mob like on Argentina or Brasil, we already have shit with elitists or Croquettes.

The forum has been unbearable this season. Two sides split. We dont even need rival fans because this club is not together as one and for that the fans deserve blame too.

Porto always raise their game in home matches, so if they can score an away goal and lose for just one, they have a chance. They are not as strong as in past seasons, but they have the players to surprise anyone.

He said "one of the best". Still stretching it, though.

We won 0-5 at Dragão last year...

OK, if you want to take an abnormal result to disprove my point then fair enough. But go look at their home results, they rarely lose, 4 wins in 4 matches this season, last couple of seasons scored 5 against Monaco and Leicester (when they were decent) at home. They do raise their game.

That was very unusual.

Porto at home is like playing at Anfield in Europe, when they raise their game and the crowd gets behind them it could turn into a nightmare for anyone. It’s one of those places where magic nights happen.

The difference in quality is way too big though. The tie could easily be over before the second leg.

Sadly yea, Forum SCP is unbearable these days, especially since the end of BDC.
Every thread is full of hate, no one is safe.

I signed up there a few of years ago. Once I mentioned I wasn't actually a Sporting fan but an Académica one, I was banned in a matter of hours. Portuguese football forums in general are full of hate and are mostly echo chambers.

Thats the thing unless they are from a club outside of Portugal they get banned or are considered "infiltrados".

There is a guy on the forum I think he is from Brugge or is a Brugge fan along with liking Sporting but he only types in English and people on the forum give him shet for it.

Thats one of the main reasons I enjoy the CAF is the diversity and hoe even rival fans can join. In Forum SCP never in a million years would they allow Benfica or. Porto fans on their the way the CAF lets Liverpool and City.

By the way, despite Joao Felix getting all the hype, another of Benfica's youth really impressed me in Joao Filipe. You don't hear much about him so I'm not sure how highly rated he is but, against Zagreb, he really impressed me.

I think they have better talents than him personally.

IF they are at home first its possible they maybe steal a 1-0 result maybe 2 which gives them a chance. Liverpool beat them 5-0 at the drag last season but hat does not happen often was a freak game.

I do have a soft spot for Porto. I travel to the city a lot through work (it’s beautiful) and I’ve been to Estadio do Dragao numerous times including for their match against Maritimo 3 weeks ago, which had a surprisingly excellent atmosphere for a run of the mill league match. Plus their club hymn is incredibly catchy, and their club museum is the best that I’ve ever seen (the video screens showing them winning each of their international trophies and the Pinto da Costa holograms are particularly impressive). Very important factors there. Purely from a neutral perspective, the Kelvin goal against Benfica 6 year ago, the insane crowd noise and reaction from both managers, is one of my favourite footballing moments.

I can’t see them beating Liverpool, but I hope they can make it reasonably competitive. I do like the fact that they and Ajax have both made the quarter-finals, increasing the number of different leagues represented.

Porto regularly get to the quarters it feels for a club in the Portuguese league. I hate them but those feckers are fantastic in Europe.

Also I agree even as a Sporting fan that kelvin goal still sends chills. What a way to win a league title that was. Incredible.

Think Porto will pay dearly not having a 2nd left back. Who will they even play there vs Liverpool?
I swear this always happens to them on knockout European matches. I remember that time they got whopped by Bayern they had to field a makeshift defense. The same happened that time vs Dortmund AND Liverpool.

Was surprised about the Bayern result because Porto really gave it to them in the first leg. Was a tactical meltdown by lopetegui.

Not much he could have done when their starting defense was Reyes-Maicon-Marcano-Indi
