At Old Trafford
Kick off at 7pm
Live on MUTV

Dylan Levitt is one of those keen to run out at the Theatre of Dreams after being promoted to the Under-23s of late.

“It'll be great because, as a young boy, I strived to play there one day,” the Welsh midfielder told MUTV. “It''ll be the first time on Friday so I hope to play there.

”I've played a few training games but not a proper match. Friday is a proper game. As a young boy, you train each and every day to play at Old Trafford and I have the chance to do that. My friends and family will be coming to the match.“

“Any time you get to play at Old Trafford, it's just an amazing experience,” said O'Connor. “It's my fourth or fifth time now and every time you get to play there, it's a real honour.

”It's definitely quite a young 23s team so I think it will be the first time for a couple of them. It should be a good experience for them.

“When you walk out at the start for the warm-up, you're used to seeing out here [at the Aon Training Complex] or Leigh Sports Village but looked up and see a 75,000-seater stadium. So it is a bit different but, as soon as the whistle blows and the game starts, it's just a normal game.

”My advice would be just to block it out and play your normal game. It's definitely very exciting for everybody.“

George Tanner admits he cannot wait for the game to come because he was such a big United supporter growing up nearby.

“It makes it extra special,” he admitted. “Obviously, as a United fan, it was my dream to play in that stadium really.

”I've been there quite a lot and did the stadium tour a few times when I was younger. I went to the Museum and saw all the trophies. It was great. I came on as a substitute there earlier in the season and played there in the FA Youth Cup once so I've played at Old Trafford a couple of times.“

Nishan Burkart is another youngster keen to get another crack of appearing at the ground as he looks to bank more valuable experience.

“It's always good to get the feeling of what it is like to play there, at such a brilliant stadium,” added the Swiss forward. “Obviously, it's a great pitch but so big so a lot of work will be going on out there! There might just be a few nerves, that is always a factor, but it's good to get learning about how to play in such big stadiums.

”Having a lot of fans is good to cheer us on and it might also be a disadvantage for our opponents.“

If that team doesn't beat WBA - something is seriously wrong. Probably the strongest U23-team we have seen all season

1-0

Burkhart tap in after a nice pass from Greenwood. Stunning long ball from Garner in the build up.

Rojo one word awful.

Garner was real star in first half. Greenwood and Nishant were also good

Andreas looks great with his vision, pass ,and positioning .

Can't see West Brom ever scoring here. We need to finish them with a second goal

Bernard is just so hopeless its laughable. He simply isnt good enough for this level. 1-1 after penalty

Bernard with his usual blunder to gift the opposition a goal.

Surely that was a penalty for Chong? Defender just ran through him.

When the WBA-striker had the ball outside the box with O'Connor in the back, you could hear the bench screaming "don't foul, don't foul"...then he gets into the box and Bernard sends him tumbling :)

That was a unreal run through the middle from Chong, absolutely brilliant.

Still very unconvinced by Gomes and Chong - unfortunately. They should be a lot closer to the first-team by now.

A few years ago you'd have to be absolutely smashing it in the reserves to be talked about for the first team. These days a few half decent performances and a youtube compilation is all it takes. Both are still a long way away from first team standard.

Not great really. Garner was good but other rated youngsters like Gomes and Chong didn’t do enough. I worry about Gomes and his inability to impose himself on games.

Impressed by Rogers for WBA. Seen a bit of him for England U17s and though it might be because he’s so physically developed but he looked their best player tonight over a couple of seasoned pros.

Which is fine - what worries me is that while several players like Greenwood and Garner have taken huge steps in the right direction, Chong and Gomes don't look outstanding anymore.

According to some of our posters however he is on the same level as hudson Odoi and we should be starting him ahead of Lingard:angel:

Its not even true though. Sir Alex used to play all sorts of dreck from the academy: Luke Chadwick played 38 games for us before being sold and never playing the Premier League again.

I honestly thinking Greenwood is fully ready for a bench role where he is one of the first subs and then the occasional start when needed. Boy has that bit of stardust in his play and benefits in that he is physically excellent too.

This was the brilliant goal that United scored. Garner makes a great pass here but he made one later in the first half that cut out about 5 defenders, they didn't show it on the replay unfortunately because Chong had a shot at goal a little bit after.

Garner was very good last night, the kid looks class. So much composure in congested areas and a good pass on him. Greenwood also had a good game, but was wasteful with a few chances. His decision-making also wasn't always the best, but overall I thought he was good.
None of the other players really stood out for me.

You do know how old he is, right?
