Dreadful. Only a few in defence, Fred and Rashford left with any credit after that. Felt sorry on Lukaku shunted out to the wing and he tried his best but still not good.

Ddg 5
Dalot 5
Rojo 5
Smalling 6
Jones 6
Fred 7
Pogba 5
Mata 5
Lingard 2
Martial 4
Lukaku 5

Rashford 7

We played with 8 players on the pitch, basically.
Martial, Lingard and at times Pogba did absolutely nothing to impact or even contribute.
They've forgotten how to pass a fecking football around.

Disgrace.
You have to ask the question - what do they do in training. Honestly. There is no sign of anything transferring into the match.
No sign at all of any improvement.
No sign of any specific tactics.
And absolutely no sign of any real teamwork.

They either do nothing at all in training or when the whistle goes they all have an attack of amnesia.

The worrying thing is that this team needs around 5 first 11 players. In todays market, that is expensive. Im not sure we will cough up the cash.

2 Midfielders, a RB, a CB and a RW are musts
Who will play LW? Martial? He is too lazy and inconsistent. So we need LW and RW.

With the improvement of Fred and McTominay we might get away with signing one top class CM.

Did you really buy that hype? That he was appointed to bring back entertaining football? That’s a myth! It was about stability and he’s provided that.

I don’t think any of the back room staff, management are deluded enough to thing this squad is championship material
Weren't people here convinced that the squad is good enough to play great football previously, whether we win the league or not ?

Matic/Herrera/Pogba at their best in the first games of Ole did the trick I guess...Since that is broken we are seeing dreadful performances, On top of that our front 3 also stopped playing in recent weeks!
Injuries and stagnation have set in after the PSG game

This should have been one of the matches where ideally we would have looked to increase our goal difference. Instead we barely scraped through

There's a good chance we might miss top 4 again because of an inferior GD :(

Ashamed to watch our club playing like that. Zero talent, fight or knowhow. Massive clearout required but who will want this bunch. Bloody awful.

I hope this group of cnuts don't turn Ole into a grumpy bastard like Jose ended up for us.
They are doing a bloody good job of it.
Yes Jose made some mistakes but it clearly wasn't all his fault.

‘People here’ That’s the problem with a lot of posters, over hype when we’re winning and slagging us off when we don’t perform to ‘their,’ standards.
The squad was decent with some good players. He made them play to their potential and win games we might have lost. That’s all it is, a decent squad but not a great one.

Negative Anti-football by Ole.
I can't believe our great Manchester United is playing such shit tactics.
It baffles me to think that this is Ole's fault? Does no part of you think that maybe, just maybe, the players are at fault too?

Don't blame him, he is loved there, getting lots of games. Not sure this is the situation to be developing a young player at the moment. You know we will spend all summer trying to get him though.
Well if Pellegrini is stupid enough to say that he’s available at the right price then...

We need players like Moutinho (or someone of his profile) in the squad. Someone to come on and provide calmness in our central play. Someone who is press-resistant and calm with the ball under pressure. There's so much emphasis on us finding physical players to handle the Premier League that we soon forget that our biggest weakness isn't dealing with the physicality, but in dealing with the pressure of high pressing and finding out-balls in amidst tighter spaces.

The constant tug of war between it being the managers or the players fault doesn't get us anywhere. Let's just agree that the lot of them are crap and move on

Terrible performance which to be honest was all down on Ole. Terrible team selection, and even worse, the changes. It was clear as day that the initial set up was wrong, our midfield was being out run, yet ole didn't feel the need to have a proper three in the midfield. Mata and lingard should have been off at halftime. We made west ham look good.

PS. What a player in Fred we have

Hope, We Lose
We made ourselves extremely easy to play against and West Ham took advantage, all the way up to our goal where they should have had more than 1

I have always maintained my opinion that the squad is terrible and massively overrated, but I'm just going by the opinions here. Like literally, people here were arguing the squad is capable of putting on great football.

I myself think the squad is terrible and inconsistency is killing most of their players. Most of them can look good on their day but their days isn't very often.

As for Ole, away from the players, I have to say since he became a permanent manager it's very logical the criticism will start to get a bit harsher.

Utterly awful performance.

Rojo, Lingard and Martial in particular were Ashley Young levels of disasterous.

Absolutely stole 3 points. We don't look like scoring at all, and we look like we'll concede everytime a team attacks.

Theory: While we had the JM discipline and structure without the ball, and the OGS go for broke smiley football in attack, we were briefly - fearsome. Now, what? Over the last six matches or so, are we lapsing into some kind of limbo - some kind of Mouldy Old Bluebirds?

It’s not quite that bad, maybe. The theory is more like a kind of inner fear of mine, which I hope is wrong. But I feel the set-up is in urgent need of a defensive coach to work with Ole. That side of our game is looking ropey as feck.

That was poor. Would love to see the stats with the amount of times the attackers gave the ball away. It seemed like every attack broke down.

The only thing i can say is we played so bad and won, that perhaps we have a good team, given they say winning when playing bad is the sign of a decent team.

Bar Fred and Rashford and martial in pockets, everyone else was poor.

I dont mean to be rude, but Pogba man of the match. Pure joke. Spent the whole game walking around the pitch waiting for the ball to fall to his feet magically. Ferguson would never have tolerated that.

I don’t think after years playing under SAF he’s under any illusion how much criticism he’ll get for the last few performances. He needs to communicate this to the squad.

There has been so much uncertainty around players in the last month. It’s affected the team

When we're playing like we did under Mourinho with the same players, the common denominator is the players. I'm sorry, but it's a real bug bare of mine that the players don't get held accountable.

I saw us have possesion on the left hand side tonight and all the nearby players back off offering no options. That happened under Mourinho too. To say that Ole and Mourinho are the same kind of manager is madness. These guys get paid an effing fortune and some don't look like they can be bothered, a majority of this is on the players' attitudes.

You’d think Carrick would be aware of this! The best CM in a defensive role we’ve had.

We lack a CB leader. It’s not news. Look where Liverpool are with VVD

Rom was horrible today, his crossing was rubbish. Too many touches, should be getting it in first time.
Don’t agree off the back of today he’s easily the best crosser in the team. I know that isn’t saying much but he put in good crosses today and worked the line well.

Five of the Eleven were either bought by him or given new contracts under him. This is as much on him as anyone else. We wouldn't have been in this predicament if he had bought well. He spent close to £400m & got 7 or 8 in. In ideal circumstances that would be enough to improve us. Klopp has made Liverpool title challengers spending a similar amount.

We need a LW as well. Martial and Sanchez are absolute trash. That was the last straw for me today watching Martial.
