When we're playing like we did under Mourinho with the same players, the common denominator is the players. I'm sorry, but it's a real bug bare of mine that the players don't get held accountable.

I saw us have possesion on the left hand side tonight and all the nearby players back off offering no options. That happened under Mourinho too. To say that Ole and Mourinho are the same kind of manager is madness. These guys get paid an effing fortune and some don't look like they can be bothered, a majority of this is on the players' attitudes.
The difference is that under Mourinho, Pogba wouldn’t be here, Fellaini, Matic would have been in midfield, Lukaku up front and we would have been beaten just as we did at their place

Don’t agree off the back of today he’s easily the best crosser in the team. I know that isn’t saying much but he put in good crosses today and worked the line well.
He's put in good crosses in other games but I can't think of one great delivery today. Rom was awful today and rightly subbed.

We should have been beaten tonight. You think we would have played better?

Mourinho and Ole may not be the same type of managers, but we also can't say Ole is a better manager than Mourinho can we? I'm totally with you on the players being at fault, I personally think the majority of our players are utter dog shit and not fit for purpose. But I can't reasonably say that Ole is blameless either.

As awful as we were.

That really could be a huge 3 points.

Must be demoralising for the top 4 rivals to see us play that shit and still somehow win.

Under Mou we wouldn’t have won! I’m convinced.

You can improve from winning games when you know you might have got away with it. You can’t when you’re already beaten before you step on the pitch! Under Mou it was the latter

Look on the bright side...if you don't want Liverpool to win the league then there is no hope of United stopping City!

Check Liverpool in their last few games! All of a sudden that’s character, desire and passion. Ignoring the good fortune

We need to rest players against Barcelona to have any chance of overturning Everton

When Martials bad, he's absolutely atrocious. Today and watford he's looked like a sunday league player. Lingard and Mata nearly as bad.

I'd be very interested to know what the players were saying to each other when they were gathered in that huddle after Pogba's 2nd penalty

Well, what can you say?

Ole obviously needed to rotate some of the players after Barca, but with the squad we have it's resulted in this. Too many players just strolling around (that's you Martial and Pogba), Dalot showing why Young, of all people, is still first choice right back, Mata and especially Lingard invisible, Rojo just not good enough, strikers just standing still waiting for the ball instead of going to it. No wonder Ole looked pi55ed at the end. This squad needs major surgery.

DDG - 5
Dalot (RB) - 3, LB - 5
Smalling - 6
Jones - 5.5
Rojo - 3
Fred - 7
Pogba - 5 (just for the two pens)
Mata - 3
Lingard - 2
Lukaku - 5
Martial - 4

Rashford - 6.5

Must see things very differently then as I thought he was pretty decent. Easily 1 of our best players today but again not really saying much.

The thing that bugged me today the most and in most games because it seems to be a recurring issue and that’s the desiscions and the speed we make them at. Space will open and a player is moving and for some reason it seems to take an age for the player with the ball to play the pass and by the time they do the opportunity is gone. Or just choosing the wrong option like Mata today. I just don’t see how we can have such talented players and they keep making poor desicion after poor decision.

Some of this has to come down to what is happening in training surely. I just think a lot of work needs to be done on what our players need to be doing when they don’t have the ball. You watch any top team and the movement is deliberate and planned. We just don’t seem to know where or what we should be doing a long with players taking liberties with the ball.

The worry is that yes he might get them fitter, be able to run faster and for longer, but you cannot always make a players brain work quicker.

We'll start dropping points if our performances don't pick up.

That was awful.

Might be one of the worst seasons of performances at Old Trafford I've seen.

True but a lot of what these top teams do is just pattern recognition. Maybe we train this sort of thing a lot and players just don’t take it on but there are scenarios where we have a 3rd runner going and pass doesn’t go to them or other times people just standing still not offering or creating space. Fred today was great at offering himself up or creating passing lanes or offering himself but again players not giving him the ball or not recognising he was in a great position to keep play moving or do damage.

Just think this aspect really needs to improve drastically.

If you can't be good be lucky as the saying goes, but the way we are playing I cannot see us getting enough points from the 5 remaining games to finish above Spurs or Chelsea, we look so lost in attack and were generally sloppy all over the pitch today.

Couldn't care less about the performance tbh, I've seen Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea fluke wins all season and yet all I read on here is how crap we are, it was only a couple of weeks ago Chelsea were needed an offside goal to completely change a game that were massively second best in against sure to be relegated Cardiff

Only thing that matters is the 3 points

Let's just get to the end of the season with top 4. We're just sleepwalking to the end and at this point I'm only excited to see the rebuilding job that will take place for the summer.

Agreed. We wont win the champions league, we are no where near good enough. All efforts need to go towards getting 4th, mass buying and shifting the the dross players we have. That will not happen if we do not get 4th.

We didn't play great but I don't think West Ham were any better. We created more chances but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I'm also trying to figure out how we can blame Young for their goal because he has to be at fault some how. Or I suppose we could just blame Jones as he seems to be a scapegoat whenever he plays too. But whatever you do, don't blame De Gea as he gets a free pass every game. So I suppose we should just blame Rojo as he had his back turned to Anderson the entire time. In the end, I will take the 3 points. Next...
