Whats wrong with some of you!?

Reading PL match day thread, people posting stuff like "good shit" after Liverpool scored vs Chelsea. I just dont understand, can you imagine the days and months after Liverpool winning the bloody thing. Just a thought of it makes me sick and i am from Serbia and dont know a single Liverpool fan around me. Put yourself in position of your fellow United fans in England.

Whats up with top 4 shit anyway, are we Arsenal MkII or what?

Let me guess, top 4 means we can attract better players. Ok, how many quality we attracted with our CL participation since SAF? Specially in our case, where, after how many years we still walking blindfolded with almost no progress, no idea behind our football and no vision.

Another can be that if we dont take part of it, we cant win it but lets be real, even this season we are still in it, we scored only one home game in CL, if there wasnt Afro i think, it would be zero. I mean come on. How can you have a go at Glazers or EW, if you have similar thinking as them.

On other side we have Liverpool winning a PL, sorry, majority might not agree with me but if i have to choose top 4 or Liverpool PL champion, top 4 can feck off.

Liverpool winning today hardly guarantees them winning it. It’s still in City’s hands.

Still should have club’s interests. We can still finish top 4 and Liverpool not win title. Chelsea looking today makes it more appealing for us to beat them.

Yea but if they score and you shout "Get in" just because it means higher chance for United to be in this magical top 4, i mean, nah.

This is like a "will they, won't they" romance kind of thing. United and Top 4.
Think Jim and Pam.

United Top 4 > Liverpool winning the league any day of the week.

If we want to be a top team again, we need to be in the CL. How are we going to attract the likes of Sancho playing in Europa next season?

The reality is Liverpool are a top tier team, they will more likely than not win leagues or cups soon. The concern is us - 7 years post SAF and we haven't even come close to a title challenge.

On paper, citeh have a brutal schedule coming up.

However, it will be interesting to see which of the teams starts picking up injuries as Im assuming both citeh and the dippers will be advancing to the semi finals of the CL with an eye on the final. For the dippers, they are likely to be facing barcelona (or us) which would be tough on their squad depth. No more easy draws for those twats.

The citeh scum are definately much better equipped to handle injuries, but on paper the dippers have a easier prem schedule. Having said that, there is no way in heck that either team don't drop points now until the end of the season.

It will happen, just depends on how many points for them.

Apparently, wanting your favourite team to take part in the most prestigious club competition makes you a bad fan now or something.

I wasn't sure before today between United top 4 and Liverpool title, having watched the match and how I felt when Liverpool scored. I'm firmly in the "lose to City please" camp.

Don't really understand the thing about hating something more than loving how your 'own' club does. Should concern about 'our' own club more than others and by finishing top 4 it will benefit the club in the future.

All these people getting emotionally hurt and attached to Liverpool & them winning the tile over us getting top 4.

And yet they want players like Sancho, felix & de ligt at our club :wenger: bet they are dying to play at an europa league club..

Liverpool & City don't matter to me; they don't even occur in my dreams or nightmares unlike the 'true fans of United'

City face Spurs and we travel to Everton before the Derby. City may lose against Spurs and have their hopes killed or we may lose to Everton and have our top 4 hopes evaporated. Better to wait after these 2 matches. It'll be clearer.

For me it is simple. If we by some miracle beat Everton then i want our win against City.
If we lose or draw against Everton than i want us to lose against City.

We are a Europa League club in some ways anyway, hardly any player is dying to play for us. Money is what matters most, if we offer most money we will get the players.

i Don’t give a feck about Liverpool. They win it, they win it. No skin off my nose. What I care about is results going in our favour. If that means Liverpool need to win, then so be it. The state of some fans, Liverpool failing is more important than us winning. Wanting us to lose to city. Ffs. Some of you need to get an actual grip of yourselves, your hatred is warping your priorities. :nervous:

I think at this point I'll just have to find the positives in whatever result happens. Except Liverpool winning the title and us not getting top 4

I don't want to lose to City.
I don't want Liverpool or City to win the league.
I want to reach top 4.

We don't always get what we want.

Top 4 is better for our club and our club comes first. That's the gist of it. It's not like the alternative to Liverpool winning the title is some neutral team. Its fecking City. Its shite or slightly less shite. If we get top 4 at least then we achieved some thing ourselves and it serves us well for next season.

We're not in position to care about whether Liverpool wins the league or not, we need to finish top 4 and It's the only thing that matters.
Who are we gonna sign this summer with Europa League football? Can't even imagine what Raiola and Pogba would do if it happened, probably start a fuss for Madrid to buy him.

For me football doesn’t begin and end with Liverpool or what they do.

I’m a United fan. I want to see United in the CL again. Forget that we’re nowhere close to winning it or whatever, watching United line up against Juventus, PSG and Barcelona this season, I haven’t felt that way about a match since Moyes season when we played Bayern. Nights like that are what I live for as a United fan. I care more about that than I do about Liverpool winning the league. If us beating City hands them the league but gets us into the top 4 then so be it.

At the end of the day someone has to win the league. While we’re not competing it will be someone else. Sooner or later the scousers will win it. They aren’t going to slip or fachts it up forever.

Top four and Champions League is better for the future of our club. We need to be able to attract the players to improve, and nobody can be arsed with Europa League football next year.

Liverpool are always going to win the title someday.

Anyone who actively wants us to lose to our city rivals is acting bizarrely and that's a hill I'll die on.

So using your logic, you would rather City beat us and stand a better chance to clinch it over liverpool. Quite frankly, i could not care less if liverpool win or not. Obviously i would rather city win but for me the priority is united get top 4. You can use the example united still can get players but the expense of that is throwing stupid wages. We have all seen what has happened with Sanchez. Next seen we need to buy big and top 4 is the best tool to do that. Id rather nights against Barcelona than Seville.

feck Liverpool. I’d take a year in Europa for another year added to their miserable league drought.

Feck it, I'll be glad when we lose to City. We ain't finishing top four regardless. Don't care about UCL - we're not going to win it next year anyway. In terms of losing our best players, feck it, I have no emotional attachment to a single one of them - we need a clear out and any fecker that doesn't wanna be here can quite frankly feck off.
