Stockholm Syndrome. We had similar opinions on LvG after he was sacked.

Look, Ole may or may not be the solution, but Mourinho never was. One mistake doesn't validate another.

Please, let's shut this thread down. It cannot be taken seriously, and it demeans the sensible and impassioned debate that can often be found on redcafe.

No he wouldn't. It's a moot point, but this is a rather pointless thread anyway.

I don't think I've ever posted having a go at a particular thread but this one is just ridiculous. Anyone who honestly wants Mourinho as manager should be forced to watch our efforts against Sevilla last season.

Extremely rich coming from the member who started this crap. Glad to see others in here recognising the utter drivel this is.
Utter drivel that a manager who has won the CL twice and is one of the most succesful managers in history would have a better chance of getting us through a tie than a manager who was relegated a couple of seasons ago.

Ok then, wanker.

Oh please... Jose couldn't get past Sevilla (which is when he should have been sacked for his post match comment). He was bad for our club. Had to go. Even if the new guy turns out worse, doesn't mean Jose should have stayed. Just means we got the next appointment wrong. We'll judge Ole on his full season. At the moment he's actually a victim of his own incredible start.

Trust the Caf. Can't beat Sevilla, would have beaten Barca.

It is too early to say Ole is tactically inept and naive. First let us have better players.
And no, Jose wouldn't have made us win. Over two legs, we would have been found out. That is the kind of quality we have.

There's something true in this thread: Mourinho wouldn't have lost against Barcelona. Mainly because he would have been easily beaten by PSG in the first place, so no chance of playing this round at all.

Ha. What a classy poster you are. I won't stoop to that level, quick to see how you rate Jose alright.

Maybe we'd have been better off with Di Matteo. He won the CL too.

Other posters have already posted that he also failed to get past the mighty Sevilla last year. We wouldn't have even made it this far had he still been in charge. There's a reason everyone is in here lambasting the thread. Maybe own up and realise you're talking crap.

Jose got us into the last 16 and led us to victory away to Juve. What makes you think he could not have overcome a quite pathetic PSG team?

Carry on fawning over Saint Ole.

Ole for united is better tactically that Mourinho because he is basically 4 brains vs 1. It’s not ole. It’s ole carrick phelan and mckennan

I'd rather lose under Ole than win under Jose. It's true he would have recognised they are a far better team and parked the bus and then tried to nick a goal. I don't really want to watch that.

I reckon Rafa Benitez might have too, but that doesn't mean he should be our manager.

I like Jose but he obviously wouldn't have. The players were fed up with him by the time he left, we'd never have gotten as far as we did with him still here.

We would've looked similar but without the bright 30 seconds at the start, and gone more defensive for some reason inviting further pressure.

I really thought that about us the other day vs Liverpool.
