Can’t find the other thread.

News sources all over this. The entire football world has realised that City don’t have any fans and they’re all rubbing it in now

Quarter Final at home. City need a goal and a huge at atmosphere behind them and they’ve struggled to sell their tickets.

And some of our fans here want us to be ‘more like’ City. They’ll always be a tinpot club.

Well, at least we can gloat about having lots of fans..
Who’s gloating? Are you seriously saying you’d rather be a City fan right now?

There’s more to football than winning. There’s a culture, history etc attached to a club.

I don’t get fans that envy City and PSG. Liverpool, sure - they’re a proper club and have shown you can build something good without oil money.

But City are as soulless as it gets.

Ticket section of the City website says the game is sold out.

Let's not let the truth get in the way of a good story, eh?

Nobody will care if they win quadruple either. No substance to that club.
This is exactly why I would prefer them winning the quad over Liverpool winning the league. I hate Liverpool but at least it’s a real club.

Emptihad.

Hang on, I thought they were all saving their money for this one instead of those expensive trips to London. They even had their own manager reduced to begging them to turn up and create a bit of atmosphere the other day there.

Edit: ok then, looks like it might be Fake News.

So the owners have bought them all again and gave them away to the schools in the area?

Good ol City - never change!

Whose idea was it to put a game of this magnitude on Spy Wednesday in this holy week? The non-believing rags at UEFA are a disgrace.

So which is it: City should or shouldn't be trying to attract new fans? I don't care either way as I know how loyal the core of City fans have been for decades, but to ridicule a club for not having enough fans and then ridicule them for trying to recruit young fans seems somewhat duplicitous.

Couldn't agree more with the second line of your post. Which is why we still got great crowds in Div 2. And we'll still get great crowds after ADUG if we return to Div 2.

We have less fans than United and Liverpool. Doesn't make our fans soulless, even if you find the oil money distasteful.

I don’t envy them at all. Today just doesn’t feel like a good time for this. Just how I feel.

Can you share some of those sources?

It's sold out. What news sources are "all over this"?

Pretty pathetic if true, but I can't find anything about it on any reputable websites.

Only because shiekh what'shisname buys the leftover tickets to bump up the numbers and help out with FFP every home game. Either that or the tickets really are sold out but then half your fans decide to not bother turning up on the day?

Seems every week they have a 55,000 recorded attendance but the stadium is only half full...

This morning, Sky Sports News etc were reporting that there were still tickets available.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

They've bussed in some nomads from the UAE to fill some of the seats.

But the nomads are confused because, when told about being taken to the 'empty quarter', they were dreaming of ancestral desert homelands.

They did sell out but only today around 10am. As I mentioned on the 'Manchester is blue' thread it's still pathetic.

You just know all the quarter finalist sold out their grounds the minute the tickets went available.

Are you confident for tonight's game? Bit off topic but..

What does that mean though? That a club is soulless, I mean.

Because in most of these discussions, it seems to mean nothing more than "they didn't win a lot of trophies decades ago, only now that they have money". Do owners represent the soul of a club? Or is it past trophies? What is it?

Must really annoy them that they're on for the quadruple but with the prospect of Liverpool winning the title nobody cares. All the talk is about the scousers. Wonder how many minutes it took them to sell out their QF?

Didn't Pep say something about it is time to know if the fans care
I think Pep basically had to ask all of the fans to turn up for a change in his presser yesterday.

It’s beyond laughable now.

At least with Chelsea they always packed out the Bridge and had the fans up for it when a huge game arrived.

Exactly depends on your definition of soulless... personally I'd say being owned by Americans who put a main man in charge who is to prioritize noodle sponsorships over football matters is equally as soulless but what would I know...
I don't think there are any big clubs who aren't soulless most certainly not the ones whose fans are calling out City.

Yup, we're furious! Our maybe we don't care because we care about our club not the media Liverpool love in.

My definition of soulless is the Etihad on matchday. Apart from Fulham, definitely the worst matchday in the league unless Utd are visiting.

I actually know a few Utd supporting lads that go because there are always tickets available and they enjoy the footy played by City! (I wouldn’t waste my money on you lot but there we go.)

Like I said, some clubs just have that magic about them. Liverpool, United, even clubs like Villa have that culture, history, the magic about them.

I just can’t take Siddy seriously. My opinion of course.

If I lived in/near Manchester, I definitely would. It's probably a lot easier to get a City season ticket than it is a Wolves on right now, which is what I'm considering
