It's because his injury record is woeful and his wages are sky high! It's really not hard to understand.
He's incredible player who has been treated like an average player. While we've got fanboys thinking Martial is immense. He'll never reach the level of Bale.

Let's not sign a world class talent (on loan) because we got Chong, Martial and Lingard. What a fan base we are.

To be fair Bale has declined.

These Klopp-Salah falling out rumours have been bubbling the last few days.Anything actually in them ?
Salah has been pretty ordinary this season despite scoring lots of goals (I know that's weird but that what it feels like watching him). Very selfish, looks like a player with no technique half the time, erratic finishing. If it were up to me I would take prefer Mane over Salah and by a big margin.

Nobody would pay that. Can you really argue that an older Pogba than we signed for 90m, with terrible form would command a higher price now than back then?
Absolutely. Transfer fees have continued to rise. Pogba hasn’t been that bad, has scored plenty and is our best player. He was one of the most important players for the team that won the World Cup in the summer just gone and was the best midfielder at the tournament. To not get more than we paid for him would be a travesty.

Gareth Bale on loan would be an amazing signing, he'd instantly he our best player, yes better than Pogba, even with his injury layoffs he'd have more better games than Pogba.

Two year lone deal like James at Bayern would go down nicely.

De Gea has a serious problem of there not being enough goalkeeping positions open that would pay him the kind of money he seeks as well as give him elite football. His stature in Spain wasn't very high and the Barcelona performance did not do him any favours. If Zidane doesn't want him, his only other viable option is PSG. Juventus look attractive but they are not going to pay him the kind of money he gets at United with Ronaldo on the books. His best option might yet be sticking to United.
I suspect you might be right if money is his only concern! I have a feeling if he decides to stay with us he'll want a ridiculous wage as compensation ( due to how unlikely he'll win a major trophy) but accept far less for a top tier team challenging on all fronts

You underestimate the difference being the top earner at United and being part of a wage cap at a team like Juventus.

Yeah lets sell the only 2 players who are close to being world class and replace them with lesser players! What could go wrong?
Or we could sell two players who don't want to be here and are so inconsistent and replace them with players who will turn up each week. That's a win in my book.

Its like they reversed roles, that's what I thought about Mane last season.

Only Eriksen will be able to fill the Pogba shaped hole in our squad. I would be ecstatic if we got 150m+ for Pogba for the rebuild and exchanged Martial for Eriksen with Spurs. Win win for everybody.
I dont get this Pogba is irreplacable we cant sign anybody to replace him nonsense, only Eriksen can fill this Pogba shaped hole?

a) He has arguably been our best most important player even with the inconsistency....but he has hardly set the world alight often, had as many stinkers as good games. His attributes and abilities are a totally different thing to his performances and those performances on the whole are very much replacable
b) The Pogba shaped is actually awkward, isnt a number 10, isnt a defensive midfielder and he isnt even really a box to box midfielder either, we actually have to alter thing to fit him in the team
c) If we are talking £130m+ we can buy two if not three top players to replace him. That is virtually a whole new midfield and lets face it Matic isnt looking great moving forward, Herrera has been average and will possibly gone, Fred its been one season but doesnt look good, Perreira for his ability hasnt really shone and McTominay has a role but isnt really a starting player, so wouldnt two or three be a good thing? There are quite a few really good defensive midfielders, box to box midfielders and play makers available this summer, all pretty young. Although Eriksen isnt the answer for me anyway.....he is hardly the only answer, far from it in my opinion

If not qualifying for Champions leahue means Pogba and Lukaku to go, I hope we miss out. These two can go and allow us to re-build and pring in people who care (for pogba) and people who has the minimum technical ability needed (lukaku).

"... the keeper remains minded to stay at Old Trafford despite the club's refusal so far to meet his wage demands and the agent fees of Jorge Mendes. The club and player are expected to reach a compromise over a wage package worth £350,000-per-week.
De Gea, however, is one of several players who has privately held concerns over United's sporting direction in recent years and particularly a haphazard approach in the transfer market under Ed Woodward..."

He's looked promising this season, still AWB should be the priority. Also Aaron's from Norwich looks like he could potentially be world class. No shortage of fullbacks on the right side for England over the next decade. I'd bet one of those prospects will end up at Tottenham.

City ready to break their transfer record (£60m) for Rodri
I just cannot fathom why we are not even in the mix, he's exactly what we need.

Some are in for a real rude awakening if they think Fernandes, Ndombele, Neves, AWB or any of these others are going to come in and "Die for the cause" or any of that shite, Patrice Evra was not the norm. These players with zero connection to our club are coming for the money, they aren't coming because we are competing for anything or because we are a well run operation, most players see this as a job, it's nothing more than that for most of them, this fantasy of a team of "warriors" needs to end, but it wont because no matter who we sign the biggest rotten apple at the club is sitting pretty in his job despite being inept at it.

Can he attack?

Agree with the comments above. Looks a sensational prospect. Just one of those that you watch and instantly think 'that's a player'. He'll play for England within the next 2 years IMHO. He's played right back and central midfield this season. I think he's filled in elsewhere too. His long range shooting is great and his energy and ability in possession stands out. I think he has a higher ceiling than AWB, Aarons and co. Like Alexander-Arnold, he's mooted to end up a central midfielder long term but I'd guess he could stay as a modern style right back that fills in as a quasi CM, like Kimmich, Sergi Roberto and how Guardiola is trying to employ his fullbacks.

I'd be very impressed if we could sign James, although I have high hopes for Dalot and Laird especially.

Everyone's talking about wan bissaka but I'd love to see us get max Aarons. He looks a real prospect.
