 Wait, he is?

That's how much I follow football.
It's OK Vato, you're not alone. Since the Ajax game I have watched only 4 CL games that were played. The 5 CL games remaining to be played and Europa league final is all football I'll be watching until the new season begins.

Yeah - got injured in the return leg in the beginning of March and they said he was out for 2 months. No reason to rush him back for the last few La Liga games imo since they have nothing left to play for.
Yeah, I just thought @Vato was in his mischief making mode again

I don't think I can honestly because it's all a bit too much. No one expected it to be this bad, not even close.

Bit I will say one thing (again), match going fans could change this. They need to be heard, they need to take out the white handkerchiefs and boo the feck out of Woodward and half the squad.

Wooodward and the rest of the high ups needs to start feeling uncomfortable coming to games because they know what's coming to them.

Yeah, we're discussing just these sorts of things in a few other threads here on the Caf. It's been mismanagement of the highest order - and not just our football managers. Right at the very top is where it starts.

As a forum member for 7 years now I follow United very closely and I completely agree.

You need to go Bernabeu style. It's your ground and your club, not theirs. The management, the players, they need to serve you or just feck off.

 why have you stopped following football this season - performances related? Jeez Vato, imagine being a United fan for past 6-7 years

I am also not sure re his injury, but iirc he suffered a bad one in the Ajax match at the Bernabeu, or something. I thought it was a season ending injury.
He's been back in training since either last week or start of this week. Chance of playing tomorrow or Sunday. I think he's still got hopes of playing in Copa America and only chance of that happening is if he plays before the season is over.

I think a lot of us will agree with you, but our Board/owners are more intent on running this as a commercial business, first and foremost, then a football club. Also, they've to this point, been unable to instill the proper footballing expertise or structure in place to help a couple of businessmen in making football decisions. If Woodward has now appointed and fired his last 3 permanent managers - with massive payouts, then why is he still making footballing decisions? - probably because he's able to sign a couple of noodle sponsors.

We're such a behemoth that the lack of success on the field has not hurt us (yet), but continued lack of success will eventually hurt us commercially - but i have a feeling that the Woodwards & co. would be long gone by that time, having leeched their millions out of the club.

Aargh thanks Damien. Think it is probably most likely that he would want to push to make the Copa squad.

Ahh, that explains a lot. I've probably erased the whole thing from my mind.

Blimey can't even make the excuse he got injured in some minor copa del rey tie, it was the Ajax second leg wasn't it which any serious Real Madrid fan would be watching of course....(or catching the highlights).....;)

I can understand why people are comparing Vinicius to Ronaldo early on at Man. United. Ronaldo had all the skill but decision making obviously had to mature. Vinicius has the pace and makes excellent runs but certainly not the best 1 v 1 against the keeper.

That will come with time and then you have an amazing forward player. If he is back from injury then he should be alright for Copa America which Brazil are hosting so looking forward to seeing him and Neymar playing together in front 3 and how it all works.

Never. We're (match going fans) too conscientious of our duty as fans.

I know. It's like that in England in general and honestly, it rubs me the wrong way. You're paying out of your own pocket for the show, but if the show sucks...

You can't really compare Madrid and United though. Uncle Perez' job is quite easy. When things don't work, just buy every big name and obvious talent out there and they'll eventually end up at Madrid (if they aren't Barca-bound already), no probs. 1 bad season after 3 CLs in a row? "Here, have some Pogba and Hazard, good luck."

United don't have that pull at all, if Woodward could just go and buy De Ligt, De Jong, Hazard, Mbappe etc. he'd do so as well.

Agree. I do feel Madrid fans are too far the other way but ours is counter productive. The size of the clubs is not commensurate with the patience/contentment of the fans.

I do agree it's a bit too extreme at times, but it's also better of the two extremes.

Your second sentence pretty much nails it. The size of the club and the patience of the fans, it just makes no sense. If it was commendable in any way it would be somewhat understandable, but it really isn't.
Owners can change, but it will always be your club.

The match going fans backed Moyes to the end! Ole could get us relegated before they turned on him.
No they didn’t. People attending games dressed as the grim reaper, plus booing performers toward the end. Hard for the fans to turn on the players as they’d given so much to United’s success, but Moyes he was wanted out ASAP.

Plus if that happens under Ole tenure, it’d be more likely he wasn’t backed by the board, rather than being an inept manager.

I like this player a lot. No reason to play him again this season though with an ankle tear.

The Grim Reaper was a stunt by Paddy Power.

For a 19 year old, he was key and motm for yesterday's victory that puts Real Madrid as top of table, as well as the Clasico victory over Barca. I feel like he's underrated when people mention teenagers. Again, he's 19!

His finishing is still a big problem but I think it is something that can be improved - like Sterling did. Problem is I think he needs more regular football to improve his shooting in game situations but he's unlikely to get that with Hazard back and the amount of attacking competition there.

In Vinicius matches one can feel frustrated, pissed off, wanting to laugh at his brutal mistakes or suddenly amazed because of some big play provoking a huge penalty.
As someone said on Twitter the right back that has to take care of him knows that it will be 90 long minutes, against a hammer that will try again and again.

We all love United
I saw some highlights of Madrid’s 2-1 win and he was at the heart of everything, earning a penalty and being dangerous throughout. How high could his ceiling be? He is basically what Eden Hazard should be doing right now

If he becomes even average in front of goal he'll be an incredible player. Seems to have the right mentality and plenty of talent so I think he'll fulfill his potencial.

Hopefully Hazard coming into the team doesn't stall his development.

Wonderful dribbler. Abysmal passing and shooting. Still has time to develop those aspects of his game of course

I find amusing how he can be so amazing a dribbler of the ball and then be so comically bad when it comes to shooting. Still he an be a quality player if he ever gets his finishing to average levels.

If he adds more consistency to his end product, there’s literally no end to where he can go in the game.

Brilliant player.
