I don't know where all these legends and myths of pogba's marketing prowess come from. Even De Gea has double his followers on Twitter. Cristiano 12x more.

Just comes across to me as Pogba's handlers astroturfing here.
Twitter is irrelevant. Instagram is so much more important for marketing, and I don’t think there’s a premier league player close to him in terms of followers. Outside of the obvious three, is there anyone in world football with more?

Not that I give shit, just pointing it out.

Honestly, I wouldn't swap him with any other player in the world. Maybe I would have been tempted for Mbappe, but that is it.

Pogba on form is one of the best players in the world, and arguably has yet to reach his peak.

This is why I now think this thread is dead. A swap with Mbappe would be probably the closest possible trade-off (although I’d demand money as well) BUT then you would still have to spend a ton on a new midfielder who's going to provide the assists that Pogba does.

Mbappe would only be as lethal as he is would be if he gets service, which we would be severely lacking with Pogba.

I don’t think there is a number that would even tempt anyone at United to sell.

About 350 million in todays market. Would never see us letting him go though whatever the money. He's absolutely indispensible to us ATM.

Deserves a bump I think.

Is the rumoured 130m sterling enough, given other transfers (Dembele, Coutinho)? I'd want 150m or one of Real's better players + cash.

Thought it was surprising to see a fee floated around in the press a few days ago, as if the club had briefed an acceptable price.

People were saying we'd struggle to get the £85m back before Ole came on board.

Then during that good run he was priceless.

Now it seems the consensus is that we'd settle for around £100-120m.

Which I think is reasonable value, but we'll struggle to get a player of his quality in for that price. You'd get a player like Neves for £60m but really he's a level below.

I don't think we'll get 150. Somewhere between 125 - 130 is what I think madrid will offer

There is no acceptable offer. However, if we could bring in 2/3 quality players in exchange? That would benefit us. We could get 300m for him, unless we invested that in the quality of the squad 1) it sends out a bad message and 2) 1's bad enough. The market is broken when even squad players or young players can cost a bomb. Money is worthless to us and I doubt we would reinvest and even if we did it don't go as far because 1) We brag how much money we make 2) Clubs know we need players and 3) competition rises prices. We need players not money. We've seen this club don't even know how to get good money for their players half the time.

Kroos, Bale and Carvajal. But I also want RM to take Sanchez if they want Pogba.
Mbappé would also be an acceptable trade. Or Verratti and Meunier.

An uninspired Pogba should be shipped out.

If Pogba is on £250,000 per week then we want £250m for him, nice round figure... simples.#

I wouldn't want any of Madrid's cast offs, because as with Di Maria they will see it as a step down in their career and concentrate only on the money.
Lets stop looking to buy current top players, who will look at coming to United either as a step down or a big final pay day and look to recruit or develop our own future talent. Sure it may take five years or more, but where are we going now, no where soon?

If we are not careful we will repeat the mistakes following the Busby era (already a few similarities) or worse still become a pale imitation of the Liverpool story of wandering in the wilderness after their finest hours.

"Ole's at the wheel", so let him drive, he does not need any backseat drivers (but is likely to get thousands)!

If its Madrid 100m sterling +kroos . If its PSG Verrati +80-90M
Have you seen kroos recently? Buying names hasnt worked out well for us. Rather its all in money. Only player we should ask from madrid is Varane. 100 million euros plus varane(Valued at 80 million euros) or 180 million euros in cash. A world cup winner and marketable french player, easily goes for that. If we sell him under 150, we d be looted.

Cash only. The only player I would want for Pogba would be Varane. The only players they will want to get rid of are the ageing galacticos on big wages and that would just perpetuate the issues we have experienced in recent years.

Anything short of £170m is shit. Considering Coutinho's fee.

We all know he will go there and be immense.

People that want Kroos here are living in the past.
He's a good passer, a good organizer on the ball, but the "metronome CM" age has long hit the sunset.

It's too hard to play with an immobile CM these days as football is very fast. Also, teams will feck you up in the middle of the park in UCL games.

Pogba as a type of player is impossible to replace. If he goes we need two quality additions in my opinion.

About £110-130m. Don't get people who suggest swap deals either, it's never going to happen for a deal of this magnitude. Or if it does, it'll take up a large chunk of our summer to sort it out.

They need to keep the deal on the hush hush until we have completed our signings. That should be our main clause. Not only for the money but it will be harder to sign someone if we are both out of champs league and sold our best player

Has to be more than £150m all things considered. Even £150m is low in my opinion.

But you just know we’ll sell him for £110m or around that.

Pogba has 3 years left on his contract. Hazard is rumoured to be around 100 million.

United have very little to worry about and if I was the board/Woody I’d simply inform Pogba the club are happy with him and have no interest in a sale. Then move on to other more pressing matters.

It’s up to Real Madrid to come up with a massive offer. They can’t really put any pressure on United in this case.

200 Million. His best is yet to come and 120-130 will seem cheap. His value is enormous especially considering his marketability and commercial value.

Absolutely. I'd think £200m would be about on the money. If we're going to sell, let's at least make a good profit for once!
