We missed a trick. Embodies everything this club is about. Instead we've faffed around with managers who were not suited to the club and now we've gone down the route of appointing a club legend. Worked great when Liverpool did it with Dalglish and Newcastle hired Shearer.

Ed tried.

We should have done a lot of things. We've got to look forwards now.

We tried; Woodward fecked it up with his "adult Disneyland" pitch.

Maybe if we pitched it to him as a Disney themed amusement park but for adults we would have got him onboard

Pep, after two years of LVG, would've made a lot more sense in terms of style progression, if you really want to cry about rival managers.

The irony being that if you lot had hired him, most of us Liverpool fans would have found him to be a detestable, gurning cnut and you lot would be hailing him as one of the best managers in the world! Instead, it's the other way round. The fickleness of football fans eh? :D

We should have employed any big time manager after Fergie left. Moyes set the club back years.
Not Moyes fault he got hired was it? The buck stops with the people in charge of the club. Bringing in a manager like David Moyes, and then not proping him up with decent financial backing set a precedent for the next 6 years.

Maybe but pep was already city bound. He made a promise to them back when he joined Bayern.

Guardiola would have seen an interesting option. Our team would be better with players like Sane, Bernardo Silva, Laporte, etc.
