I think we will sign him. He will be Ole's Rooney.
Something like a 4- 4- 1-1
I prefer Felix as our Rooney and Fernandes as our Scholes.

I wouldn't mind 4411 with the right players. We need quality wingers to make that formation work.

I see shades of Debruyne passing range. Simple yet effective passes. If we can get good wingers, I think he will be better than Pogba in the advanced midfield role. No more dithering on the ball and losing it in dangerous areas.

Unbelievable. Bruno Fernandes gets a Hattrick and also gets 2 assists to take his tally in the season to.....31 goals! And 17 assists!

This for a midfielder is honestly insane! Happy for him it’s a massive feat.

He is a coaches dream to Coach. Very smart player who one day will probably be a Coach and is the type of player to adapt to any sort of tactic a coach wants to play.

That's ridiculous tbh, bargain for City if they are signing him for the rumored price of 50 mill Euros

50M is a steal if it happens. Sadly for Sporting there is no way he stays.

Is this confirmed? To City?
Not confirmed but it’s the biggest rumor in Portugal gathering pace. After this game I can imagine City are on high alert from other potential interest.

I Feel the only way he goes to United Is if Pogba leaves. Would he fit in? Absolutely he is a quality player and a very smart one tactically. The issue is we don’t even know how United want to play what formation what players what style so it makes it harder to see.

Looks like the type of player pep would love. Just like Bernardo Silva you would think Bruno is on drugs he just does not stop running all game until the final whistle.

Bruno is the type just about every club needs because he's a very good player who's arriving at his peak age, works quite hard for the team and comes across as a consummate professional, but United won't get the best out of him if we continue to prioritize Pogba in a 4-3-3, IMO. Dunno if @SportingCP96 is of the same opinion, but that's just the way I feel considering the overlap in their respective skill sets (same goes for someone like Havertz, who's also having a great season at Leverkusen with 18 goals and 7 assist at age 19). Folk will point towards Guardiola's use of Silva and De Bruyne in City's midfield, in the hope that a similar system can be employed at United with Pogba/Bruno in the 8/10 hybrid roles where they form a telepathic understanding and work in synchronized harmony, but...those two more disciplined than Pogba in terms of consistency of decision-making, Guardiola is a midfield whisperer and can organize that department in a way that no other coach can, and the high-possession/high-press system itself protects them from overexposure (plus, the presence of a positionally brilliant and tactically astute holder in Fernandinho further secures the center of the park).

I agree like I said I don’t see both of them in the same team together. If Pogba leaves I think it would work best. Great player but maybe just not for United. Let him feck off too Madrid.

Anyone any clue wh he didn't light up italy for 100+ appearances? Is there a warning sign there that he is doing it in a worse league?
Some players just get better with age? Not everybody is a superstar at 18

Obviously its possible but going from 1 goal every 10 games over a long sample size in a better league to 30 goals in a season sounds like a purple patch to me, just hope nobody expects him to transplant anything like that kind of form back to a big league.

I think we are going to end up signing Fernandes but as a Pogba replacement.

God he is amazing:drool::drool: best Sporting player since Mario Jardel and the best Sporting player I have personally seen with my own two eyes (granted I am only 22 soon to be 23). I am going to miss him when he is gone.

Great video by ScoutNation! That was some high quality footage he got with commentary.

In his defense, these days with all the turmoil, any player that joins United has a big chance of being a failure... :nervous:

No offense but this is one of the worst Sporting sides i have ever seen.. and not surprising given what happened over the last few years. If he can make it there he can make it anywhere if he truly has the talent.

I hope we sign him, I've read a lot of your posts on him and your enthusiasm for the player is infectious. Can't wait to see him and James next season instead of the likes of Sanchez and Lukaku.

Agree the fact we won 2 trophies is very surprising . The amount of bang average players we have is laughable.

Last player that individual performance wise got me this excited from Sporting was probably William Carvalho in 13/14 take that as you will. I still believe in his quality his problem is more so he is not always in the “mood” to play but when he is....he is a tank.

As for Bruno he has a rare trait where he obviously has the talent and ability but he also has that hardworking head down kind of mindset from players that have less quality. I love that and that’s honestly won me over again after what he and many others did last summer by terminating there contracts at Sporting.

The fans hated that we signed him back and they hated even more so that he was given the captains armband. He knew it too and would try to talk to fans on social media to tell him his side and to tell them he swore he did not take a pay raise to come back. He also said he knows many fans would not like his return but he would work as hard as he can to gain there trust and love back.

Out of all the players that came back he was the only one who put in the WORK to do the most he can to make us successful this season to shoulder the weight of the club after all the turbulence that happened in the summer and he truly did. Without him we would have languished in 5th or 6th place. He upped his game from last season and by doing so he won back a lot of fans at the club some still don’t like him but they respect him.

Spanish, French, and Serie A markets still a possibility but potentially a stronger option is he stays at Sporting one more season which would be huge.

Still think the likes of Spurs and Utd will be sniffing around next summer as possible replacements for Pogba and Eriksen if the European clubs don't look at him.
