One good thing about Spurs being in the final is that Liverpool won't be able to literally run them off the park - it'll at least be a game decided by the technical side as they cancel each other out physically.

This must to be some cruel joke by the football gods to punish us for something. Not only that our fiercest rivals are fighting each other for all the big trophies while we are back to the wilderness, they force us to put all our hopes on Spurs. Spurs!

A "Champions League" final between 2 clubs that haven't been champs of England since On The Buses was top comedy.

They should’ve/could’ve had 2 draws against us this season. They play well against us most of the time and they know us well too. Don’t like this matchup one bit.
Eh, we should have won quite comfortably at Wembley, however they’re the only side I’ve seen give us serious problems at Anfield in the past two seasons. Agree with the rest, it’s a horrible match up given they can match us for intensity. Could go either way and we could end up losing a CL final to Spurs. It would be our luck to a tee this past decade.

This will be good come on spurs, i can't believe there are people on here who are supposedly man utd fans and want the old enemy to win.

I'm a Man City and Wolves fan at the weekend, Watford Fan In the FA Cup final and Spurs fan for the CL final.

And hopefully when Man City, Wolves, Watford and Spurs all win, they can all go to hell :)

I'm genuinely pissed about this being a final. Liverpool v spurs. One is Liverpool obviously don't want them to win. Spurs I absolutely HATE on a personal level. Christ this is horrible....I just really don't want spurs to win. God!

Spurs will probably Spurs the shit out of the final. Just hope Kane is 100% and they don’t shoehorn him in half fit. Maybe off the bench if needed. Can only see a Vermin win though.

Problem with Spurs is if they don't start well and go behind we all know they'll kick the sh*t out of Liverpool.

Which can be a good thing.

Has an impact on the England NT this. They play Holland in the Nations League semi final 5 days after the CL final. Would have been more impactful for Holland if Ajax had got through mind.

I can't believe these 2 teams are in the final. This is nuts.

Liverpool's advantage over almost every team they've played has been :

- Their work rate and stamina
- Their organisation in the press
- Their physicality all over the field
- Their 2nd ball winning success

In Tottenham, they have a match on every single one of those levels.

- Poch's side equals Liverpool's work rate and stamina. Their players run and run and run.
- Spurs press very effectively all over the field.
- Sissoko, Alli, Kane, Wanyama, are all very physical players either in speed, strength or both
- As evidenced by last two games vs. Ajax, Spurs are very good at winning the second ball. Something which killed Ajax tonight.

It's a great matchup and is possibly the best one we could have hoped for in a one off game vs Liverpool.

Think this would be a closer affair.Had Liverpool faced Ajax I feel they would've killed the game off in the first half with their aggression, physicality and skillset. With Spurs,if everyone if fit,it's far more evenly matched.
Looking forward to it anyhoo and may the best team win.

I have a feeling Spurs will win it even though Liverpool are the better side. The last second VAR reprieve at City, tonight’s last minute winner out of nothing (like Iniesta at Chelsea in 2009) - it just seems like they have something going for them this year.

We are all rooting for Spurs but I can't see it happening. Livershite to win by two goals.

Funny that, people have been saying the exact same thing about Liverpool.

And a Champions league final between Liverpool last trophy won a League cup in 2012 and Tottenham a league cup 2008.

If Liverpool win it we won't hear the end of it, their fans are just insufferable. If Spurs win it, Liverpool will go full meltdown mode and Tottenham fans will have the ultimate cheeky banter card against Arsenal supporters, no idea how a United fan would want Liverpool to win even if they deserve it. Sportsmanship and paying respect where it's due is good but the thought of Pool winning makes me nauseous.
Spot on

Poch has last 4 games v Klopp
Won 4-1. (Wembley)
Drew 2-2 (Anfield)
Lost 1-2. Son blatant pen last min denied. (wembley)
Lost 1-2. (Anfield). Last min own goal. Spurs deserved to win.

Basically Poch knows how to play Klopps system. He has 3 weeks to get his tactics spot on for the final. . This won't be a walk over for Scousers as they think.
We only lost that game due to Lovren. We completely demolished them at Wembley this season, should have won by 4 or 5.

The final is 3 weeks away.
Will be a totally different game. Will be like playing a PL game after an international break. Momentum and form will go out of the window.

This is a Klopp vs Poch final as far as I'm concerned. One of them will surely be called a loser and bottler after the final.

It's Tottenham's trophy I'm sure of it.

Like with Liverpool in 2005 and Chelsea in 2012 they have survived too many do or die moments and are having a script that would be thrown out as being too implausible for an action movie.

Not to mention the miraculous group stage escape. If they are going to win it it'll have to be this year.

But can't see Klopp bottling another final.

It's a one-off game, in which anything can happen.

Given their league form Liverpool are favourites, but Spurs will hopefully have Kane back and with him in the team we will always have a decent chance.

One of the managers is gonna be called a big time bottler and fraud after this game no matter what happens

I hate how confident I am. Their form in the second half of the season has been so bad, but it’s a final...

He'll probably be half fit by that time so it would be a big risk playing him. That ankle of his is knackered he'd probably end up getting subbed within 20 minutes.

Is there no chance both of them could somehow lose?
