I'm surprised as usually success breeds hate as much as it does more support.

Looking forward to it. It definitely sounds like it might not be as cut and dry as I thought, what with them winning it twice in a row.
They've won it twice in a row but they've only won the league twice in their history.
I think because they are kind of new to winning the league they haven't had the time to build up much of a hatred.

Literally no idea, but they have the following players in their squad:

- Sergi Samper (ex-Barca)
- Iniesta
- David Villa
- Podolski
- Wellington (FIFA legend)

So I thought they'd be better than your average Japanese team but have to admit I have no clue whatsoever about the quality of play over there.

Vissel have always been a mid table club (a couple of times relegated to J2), never won anything.

The owner is super rich, his company is also Barca's shirt sponsor. Over the past few years they've started to spend big on players. Podolski was the first to come (although I get the feeling he's going to leave soon). Iniesta came after the World Cup last season (he's such a classy player), then David Villa at the start of this season. Samper came a few months back but has struggled a bit. He looks broken.

Due to the sponsorship deal they have a bit of a partnership with Barca (Barca are coming over here in July for a pre season friendly). Vissel's current youth coach was the Barca youth coach when Iniesta was a kid. Iniesta convinced David Villa and Samper to both Join.

The problem with Vissel is their defence. They also sacked their manager a few weeks back so the club is in a bit of a mess. There's a rumour that David Silva will be coming when the Premier League finishes.

Here's the last game we played the other day in the Asian Champions League (The real Champions League if we're being honest....) vs. Shanghai SIPG.

From now on we'll just call it Champions League then and this one the European Champions League.

Shit, i'd need a vpn just to get on bet365, it's not allowed in Poland.
If it's not allowed there a vpn wouldn't help. They verify people's names and addresses now when depositing to stop money laundering. Then you need to send them passport or drivers licence details and address details when withdrawing.

I’m fed up with Oniki giving Noborizato game time, he’s fecking useless. We’ve got Ao Tanaka sitting on the bench and he’s already a much better player than Nob. Yeah he has been loyal to the club but enough is enough. If we don’t give more game time to our youth we will end up losing him just like we did Ko Itakura to Mank City or whatever the feck they’re called.

Do they have an official noodlesponsor yet?
Someone care to translate: https://www.frontale.co.jp/sponsors/

J-League have rules on number of foreign players: max 4 registered for each match.
We currently have 3 Brazilians in the squad, room for at least one more.
Maybe we should put in a cheeky bid for Fernando Torres.

They actually do have a few noodle/food sponsors

Plus 7-11, Suntory and Lotte which are huge conglomerates that are involved in food in various ways.

Also interestingly enough, my company is a sponsor which I didn't know about.

Brilliant. Ed should take some note on how to attract noodle sponsors.

Fun fact: The reason as for why Iniesta and Torres are playing in Japan is due to a japanese anime about football, called Captain Tsubasa, that is/was really popular in Spain when they grew up.

Torres played against us a few weeks ago. Nara obviously had him in his pocket

Someone actually made a video of his uninspiring highlights to a terrible soundtrack
