Not exactly what I hope but what I predict based on rumours and what Ole's said -

1) De Gea; Wan Bissaka, Shaw, Tuanzebe, Lindelöf; Rice, Pogba; Bruno Fernandes; Bergwijn, Martial, Rashford
2) Romero; Dalot, Young, Smalling, Jones; Matic, Fred, McTominay; Lingard, James, Lukaku

Wan Bissaka = 50m, Rice = 55m, Bruno Fernandes = 55m, Bergwijn = 35m, James = 15m
Total outgoing costs of 210m

I hope we have something like this when we kick off next season

De Gea
Cancelo Lindelof Maguire Shaw
Fred McT
Ziyech Bruno Martial
Felix
So despite of the talk of young British players, we are only going to sign Maguire and another load of foreign players?

--DDG--
Meunier--Lindelof--De Ligt/Koulibaly--Shaw

--Godfrey--
--Mctominay--Pogba--

--Fernandes--

--Dybala--Rashford--
Oldest player in that lineup will be DDG at 28. Feel Godfrey can easily make the step up to DM.

I cannot understand how some fans call themselves football fans? Highly deluded IMO.
Ole has stated the signings will be young for many years, and with no champions league I cannot see how anyone can think we can sign the following:-
De Ligt
Sancho
Dybala
Koulibaly

For fans to mention this.. come back to reality!

Who else? AWB has said he's not moving this year. Sancho is a difficult deal to complete. Rice is maybe an option.

This is the problem he might find. The really top kids like CHO and Sancho are at CL clubs. CHO has been courted by Bayern another CL club and perennial league winner. Why would they come to us at the moment. So do we take the risk of kids from lower clubs and lower divisions, which might work a treat or could be a disaster or more foreign players who unless they are United fans, may need high wages to come. Ole makes it sound oh so simple, but he might find it is really difficult.

We will see. We signed bigger stars in Zlatan, Pogba and Mkhi when we did not have UCL as well. Making more of such signings will only help persuade potential signings to sign with us as well. And it's not as if we are going to sign everyone in that 4-man list.

At this point they thought we were building up a project under a new top manager and having 2 or 3 poor years are just anomaly. Currently we're 6 years in and with 4th manager and look no where close to even challenge for anything. Any top star will be thinking his career might get destroyed by joining such side.

I think the whole idea of getting a British core is not a sound one. We need good up and coming players who are willing to work hard and prove themselves. Their nationality doesn't matter.

Based on links and general understood intentions. What about this as a package:

De Gea

Dalot Lindelöf Alderweireld Shaw

Rice Pogba

Brooks Dybala James

Rashford/Martial
Would you take it right now?

I'm not sure about Pogba in midfield of 2. That would mean that the No.10 (Dybala) needs a lot of work rate, and that's not one of his strengths.

Fernandes has been linked with us. So I would play something like this:

De Gea
Dalot - Alderweireld - Lindelof - Shaw
Rice
Fred/McTominay - Pogba
Fernandes
Dybala - Rashford

That’s close to a side I suggested previously and I quite like the diamond. I’m factoring in the prospect of signing young and hungry British players, however.

It’s just a question for debate purposes. Rice would be intended as Pogba’s minder with the latter playing balls from deep but having licence to get forward. An attacking 4-1-4-1 with Pogba left and Dybala right, around the box.

No doubt he is a good player, but simply doesnt fit with what is needed in the PL.
He's a good player, but not he'll be unfit for the league, but I'm sure we'll end up playing him out of position or stick him on the flank Mata esque and he'll end up underperforming and will be a terrible move.

Please no more of these signings we don't have a clue how it's going to fit and where we're going to put on the pitch.

Why? He’s not exactly shite is he. I think most assume he’d be signed to play in the appropriate position.

He’s a top quality player.
Like i said he is a good player but I just dont think the PL suits him, would get no where near as much time on the ball and he isnt that strong. he is also more a second striker than an out and out striker. From what I hear on here Ole is more than likely wanting a 4-3-3?

--------------------Henderson------------------------
AWB------Lindelof-----Maguire------Shaw
------------------------Ndidi---------------------------
--------------Fernandes---Pogba---------------
-Greenwood-----Martial----Rashford

Second:

----------------------Romero----------------------
Dalot----Tuanzebe---Bailey--Young
------------------------Matic-----------------------
---------------Fred------------McT--------------
Lingard--------------Lukaku-----------James

Options: Laird, Jones, Smalling, Bailey, Garner, Gomes, Periera, Chong

Outs: De Gea (if he won't sign!), Rojo, Darmian, Herrera (would of kept as captain), Mata, Sanchez: Rough Total £80 mil + HUGE wages

In: AWB, Maguire, Ndidi, Fernandes, James: Rough Total: £200 - 220 mil

NET Spend of $120 - 140

Lots of youth lots of pace. Martial to play through the middle where his workrate isn't as needed. Pogba as captain and heap responsibility on him. Maguire wouldn't be my number 1 choice (de Ligt) - but he's realistic. Those coming in keep all wages below £120,000 + bonuses

Got our real world top 10 finish first 11. Fred in his Shakhtar role.
Are you telling me we won't buy anyone this summer and sell top players like De Gea and Pogba for 200-250m? Anyways, we'll be fine, we can win Europa league with that team

Was more tongue in cheek but perhaps a Declan Rice or Harry Maguire could be bought. We could have trouble attracting some. I would hope we could push the boat out for Sancho, Dybala and Bruno.

This might be accurate but I’m less convinced that Sancho will move this summer

De Gea

Meunier - 25m
Maguire - 65m
Lindelöf
Shaw

Rice - 60m
McTom
Pogba

Lingard (Greenwood at the end of the season)
Richarlison - 70m
Rashford

Out: One of Lukaku or Martial (50m) + the ususal suspects (Darmian, Valencia, Herrera, Rojo)

Net spend: ca 160m

Other potential candidates:

Wan-Bissaka - 40m if we want a younger player than Meunier
Alderweireld - 25m if there is a tight budget
de Ligt - 90m, but why on earth should he chose us?
Diop - 60m, will West Ham sell us two players? Nope.
Fernandes - 60m, to challenge McTominay but would take net spend to 220m
Sancho - 90m, will not move this summer
Pepe - 70m, good enough?

Current prediction: Exodus

Martial(Lingard)-------------Rashford(James)------
-----------------Dybala(Greenwood)------------------
--BrunoFernandes(Mata)--Fred(Mctominay)-------
-------------------Llorente(Matic)-------------------------
Shaw(Young)------------------------Wan-Bissaka(Dalot)
---------Maguire(Tuanzebe)---Lindelof(Smalling)----
--------------------Romero(???)-------------------------

That's Pogba to Madrid, De Gea and Herrera to PSG, Lukaku to Inter Milan, Sanchez to Italy with us paying 2/3rds of the wages, Rojo to mid-table Spain, Jones to slightly below mid-table Prem

-We get favorable treatment from Madrid to pick up Llorente
-Bruno Fernandes comes here when we outbid City, who he makes sense for but do have a year to wait with David Silva still around to partner De Bruyne next year and Gundogan available more often as an 8 with Fernandinho finally getting a backup in someone like Rodri
-Dybala, though I could also see him going to Atletico to replace Griezmann and us signing Ziyech or someone similar instead who is actually a better fit if Ole wants to be able to play a diamond/false 9 but also a regular 4-3-3 or even a 4-2-3-1 with Bruno as a 10 and 2 midfielders sitting
-Wan-Bissaka makes the most sense of any signing
-Maguire we've been rumoured for a while now, young and British

I would take Depay back but we will do feck all with Rashford as first choice striker.

Swap him for Vardy and yeah
I tend to agree, but dont think we will go all out for a central striker.

--------------McTominay
------Tielemans------Bruno Fernandes
Lozano--------Rashford--------Martial

Pogba goes to Real finally, and we replace him with Bruno Fernandes because City weren't interested in him after all, and probably get Neves instead.
Tielemans replaces Herrera, and we probably overpay if Spurs are after him too, but he's likely cheaper than most of the other names we're linked with.
Lozano finally comes to us after we had scouted him prior to him moving to PSV. Him and Martial down the wings will have plenty of pace and goalscoring threat as inside forwards.
Meunier replaces Valencia, he's a good attacking fullback who won't cost the earth and is looking for first team minutes. Wan-Bissaka stays put at Palace for another 12 months.
I thought we would go with Alderweireld but after his comments about wanting to finish up at Ajax, I think he probably snubs us and we go for Maguire instead, for a lower fee than we had been quoted 12 months ago.

With the money saved by not going for the likes of Koulibaly, De Ligt, Neves/Rice, Bale, Sancho, Dybala, we bring in a couple of youngsters such as James from Swansea so that Ole can add to the core of young talent available for him to develop. I think Tuanzebe will be around the first team, with us likely selling Rojo and Darmian. Greenwood likely gets more games to keep Rashford and Martial fresh, and I think we sell Lukaku. Chong and Angel Gomes will also probably get more minutes.

For depth, we look like this:

----------------Romero
-------------(Henderson)
Dalot------Jones------Smalling----Young
--------(Tuanzebe)
-----------------Matic
---------------(Garner)
---------Fred-----------Lingard
-------(Pereira)-----(Angel Gomes)
Chong--------Greenwood---------James

I really do think a lot of youth will get a chance next season. It's going to be a transitional season for us, and I wouldn't be surprised if we finish 6th again. But Ole is going to need this coming season to figure out how we will play with the players we have gained. It's the start of the rebuild. There will be more the season after - Young and Matic likely leave, more players will come in. We don't have the luxury that the likes of City, Spurs and Liverpol have, where they have a very defined and successful style and way of playing, and sign players who fit into that system and improve it. We are yet to figure out our system. Starting this summer, Ole is only just beginning to get the players he wants in order to play the way he wants.

I want to believe in muppetry signings, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I'll be fine with some signings to the future like James, etc.

I'm going to guess we look like this to start the year:
--------------------De Gea
-----------Lindelof--------Smalling
Young--------------------------------Shaw
--------------------Matic
--------McTominay--------Pogba
-------------------Lingard
--------------Lukaku----Rashford

Hopefully the bench changes a ton, however, and we get to watch some younger talents get chances.
