Should’ve never been hired in the first place. Ed’s mistake, so he should fix it by putting him out of his misery.

Obviously Ed won’t do that, because it’ll make him look like even more of an idiot for hiring him in the first place

Definitely should be sacked.

But we won’t do it & will have another awful season next year.

Where haha been any sort of style being developed by Ole? It’s been so so bad

I can't believe a coaching team of Ole, Phelan, Carrick and McKenna are out of their depth coaching wise?
Why?

Carrick has no experience. McKenna got the youth team playing decent stuff but that doesn’t always transcend to the first team as youth level is totally different to the first team. Ole again very little top level experience. Phelan has the experience but when he replaced Querioz the level of our football under Fergie dropped.

Get rid. Genuine chance Poch may be available in the summer.

We've gotten ourselves into a huge mess by giving him a contract though and believe that's where our biggest problems are.

They'd come in to the same situation and everyone else would get more time to 'prove themselves' before a clear out. Why not just let Ole take care of it instead of being drama queens?
Whilst that may be true, I think it's also increasingly obvious that Ole is not at the standard we need as head coach/manager or whatever term people want to use.

Are people for real? He's only been given the job! Back him, he's a club legend. Let's see what we does with a transfer window or two. Jose was right when he said it was his best achievement getting these useless w*nkers second.

There’s no chance they’ll sack him after appointing him so recently.

I feel bad saying it but sack him if we have any chance of getting Pochettino. Even if Poch hasn't won anything he can stabilise us and get us regular top four finishes at least. Ole looks completely out of his depth at this level even though he is managing a team of shithouses.

Sack.

We all got sucked in.
He failed at Cardiff and his only other club has been Molde.
He had a favorable run in, it made us believe, but once the going got tough, we just turned into yet another defensive, counter attacking United side of sorts

If they waited he wouldn’t be manager now that’s a fact.

So do they stick with him to save face, putting us (a multi billion pound organisation) in even further trouble or do they admit the mistake and move him on?

What a fecking mess
We could have made top4 if they didn't take the pressure off him and this team.

The club will not openly sack him, but if a top class manager were to become available, I suspect they would ask Ole to step down and he would do so.

Otherwise the club needs to back him on the market, not doing so means the shite who have played this season, will play next season.

He needs to step down if he truly loves the club. You’d have to be utterly deluded to think he’s the man to take us forward.

I don't think he is the answer long term but in the short term he might be the right person to cull the squad to begin with. Think after that results will be poor and he will be gone. Hopefully Poch will be available.
Having said that our problems cannot be fixed with just getting the right manager. We need a better structure around the manager.

This is a depressing state of affairs. I would absolutely hate to be in Ole's position right now. Can't imagine the pressure. But then again, it's shitty being a United fan too

So we should sack managers after 5 months now?

back him, obviously
So if we hired a duck as manager we should wait to sack it because..reasons.

I’f they’re not good enough then we need to be ruthless & start acting like the biggest club in England

So the majority want him gone now  Some fans are just as pathetic as the board and the squad now

Sacked. Results speak for themselves, United need a big personality with a proven record. Yes, we had Jose and in hindsight should have been backed this summer. Conté seems to be going to inter, so it’s either Tuchel or Poch. Poch should have been our number choice from the beginning. I hate Ateltis style under Diego but at least they play with balls and leave everything on the field.

I love Ole, but I honestly think the club needs to think of the bigger picture at this point. It's a big gamble to continue with Ole, I don't think the board really understood how bad this squad actually is until now.

Do we stick with a risky option in Ole or do we actually bring in someone experienced with rebuilding a squad? Safe or risky? You surely have to go with the safe option at this point, not sure you can really afford to mess this window up.

But if we do bring a new Manager in we have to continue with the plan of rebuilding the squad this Summer. No more of this bullshit "im going to analyse for a season then rebuild". Do it straight away.
People hate Conte for some reason but he has experience at rebuilding. Juve didn’t win the league for years and looked clueless before he arrived there. Obviously we need a DOF.

I don’t get why we didn’t stick with our original plan after sacking Mourinho. Get a DOF before the next manager. Woodward the clown has made a mess of it again.

Hes the right manager for the time being. I doubt he is long term but were a million miles away from reaching the point where we need a better manager to take us further. No one at the club is qualified to judge him regardless and he isn't toxic enough to get himself fired. Get a director of football and see where we stand next christmas.

feck it, sack him. Hire another name. Win a few games. Cry wank when we lose because the players can’t be fecked anyway.

Rinse, repeat.

fecking pathetic

Back him! What are you guys even thinking who thinks he should be sacked? Shouldn't we start by shipping away some players, buy a few new ones and let his coaching team have a preseason with the squad, both to get the fitness to adequate levels and also work on the system which they want to play with before even considering to sack him? Relax people and let's wait until next year to say anything.

It wasnt Ole that made the same players suck under Moyes, LVG and The Toxic One.

We have tried changing manager. It's time to purge the playing staff

The fact is other top level clubs like Barca, Mardid, Juve... would be sacking a manager that performed like this.

Everyone loves Ole but it has to be about what is best for the club and if a top level coach is available then Woodward needs to make the difficult, and potentially unpopular decision, in the club's best interest

That's literally the single argument for backing him completely ignoring blatantly obvious counter arguments like he is clueless and the worst manager we had in many many years.

Back him. Even today we looked not too shabby till that horrendous penalty decision. The players' mentalities, especially the senior ones, just went to bits after that. Let Ole get rid of the deadwood and non-triers. For those complaining about starting Jones, Smalling and Young - who the hell else was he going to start with?
