Inter is linked for 50- 60 m.

While its a fair price, I think we should keep him. Not much options there who can replace his goals.

Replace his goals? Pogba outscored him this season and Rashford scored only 2 less.

He's had a shit season and is constantly flirting with other clubs/leagues.

Get his fat arse out of here. Him leaving would not hurt us in any way.

I don't mind letting him go but we should do it only after we get a replacement.

Despite being shit last season, He's our best finisher, Sadly.

If he goes then we need to replace him with a good striker who can first control a ball and score 25/30 goals as I highly doubt Rashy will be able to get there.

He doesn't suit the way the coach wants to play. You simply have no choice but to sell. And when he can fetch €60m, it makes it even more mental to keep him. Sell him and sign a player that fits.

Sell, horrible footballer. I would go for Vardy personally and bring Greenwood into the squad. But that's just me.

Vardy is not coming. Lukaku wasn't given a fair opportunity under Ole and he is our best finisher .

It's an Italian club, so it will be a four year loan with a €60m option to buy spread out over 12 years with half contingent on Lukaku scoring 55 goals a season over 10 years.

Let him go, he isn’t good enough and as a stop gap, Rashford, Martial and Greenwood can cover for a season.

I think I along with a lot of the forum were excited when we signed Lukaku as he has scored goals since a teenager at West Brom/Everton and coming to us seemed a logical step. Sadly we have tried and failed with him and he does not suit(or have the capability?) to play the way we want to play (high press, energy, controlling a game). Wish him luck as he does at least try to some extent but it just didn't work out. Would bite Inters' hand off for 60m right now. With all the talk of their being a lack of strikers there is more than a selection available.

He's never going to be first choice under Solskjaer so we should sell if we get a good offer. His wages are too big for squad player status and he was openly talking about his dream of playing in Italy while our top 4 challenge was collapsing.

He needs to go strictly on the basis of being so static up front...the same reason Martial should be gone. Way too much predictability when defenders know you’ll only stay in one general area.

He only shows up on the scoresheet against non-top4 sides anyways so I don’t want to hear any of that he’s a good finisher talk. Need United characteristic attackers. Attackers who are fluid and move all along the pitch being unpredictable. It starts with that - fluidity and unpredictability.

No issue with selling Lukaku per se but the reality is he's currently our best goalscorer. So if we're losing him (even just as a squad option) we'd better be confident we're bringing more goals into the team.

As long as we get one of those hipsters choice replacements like Jovic or Piatek.

He'd probably break records in Italy, except for when it mattered in the big games.

Fully think we should sell though, your never ever going to win the Prem or challenge with him leading the line. SOLD!

Surely most established strikers (ie not Rashford) can at least provide what he can and more. I don't see how a decent player who can get in his positions could do worse to be honest.

A deal involving Icardi is a no brainer. Hes certain to leave. Hes a finisher firstly, but would suit a team creating lots of chances, something we hopefully do next season with a new looking squad.

That to me is the arse flavoured icing on top of the well oversized, horrifically expensive cake. The audacity of the cnut is galling. I find it really hard to understand/believe anyone wants to keep him. I know Rashford has struggled to kick on, but the constant batting of Rom's eyelids to pastures more Spanish/Italian despite his utter dud of a season displays a complete lack of self-awareness I can't abide by, regardless of our lack of alternatives.

Feck Icardi, the last thing we need is to invite trouble into the club. I'd sooner keep Lukaku.

Icardi is perfect for us. That kind of mentality is exactly what this club is about. We're Man United we'll do what we want. feck the rest of you.

What we'll lose in his goals we'll more than make up for in competence and ball control.

Mirror article yesterday linked us with Nicolas Pepe as an option to replace Lukaku in a front 2.

What is wrong with people.

Saying Lukaku should stay because he is our current best goal scorer - apart from the fact that he misses open goals - he is absolutely useless in a team that doesn't have wingers like Perisic, Willian, David Beckham etc etc - without players who cross Lukaku is virtually useless for most of the match.

Considering Martial, Rashford & Greenwood play football in a particular way whilst Lukaku is the only one who plays as a traditional number 9 - then he has to go.

Lukaku needs to score 25+ goals in a season because most if not all of our attack will be directed to him as our one and only finisher. On the other hand - Martial, Rashford & Greenwood can get 12-15 goals each in the best of the season and hopefully spread the attacking duties across a front 3 rather than just one..

Lukaku doesn't fit at United.

I just want to point out that his both seasons here he has had a run of 15-20 games where he hasn´t scored a single goal. That alone should be enough to have serious doubts about him as our main striker.
He should be should this summer he isn´t a fit for any football we want our team to play.

Well I'm still hoping Martial can have an Henry moment and move in from the wing to be our new stellar striker.

A long shot maybe, but i'd rather see Lukaku sold, and us use the money to buy a top winger, rather than watch Lukaku stumble through another season, and Martial wasted on the left.

Your mad. Icardi is much the better striker and Lukaku adds nothing to our overall play.

Its Icardis missus that is the diva not Icardi. Hes just under the thumb so to speak. We paid £75-90 million for that lump and if we need another number 9 to replace him (absolute must) which will score 25 goals per season. Then Icardi is a no brainer. There is no way our summer budget will allow another £80m+ signing. Icardi is being shown the door at Inter. We should be all over that opportunity

The man literally cannot control the ball 75% of the time. Getting 50m for him would be remarkable.

Right, so his wife is mad and causes trouble. Is him leaving her part of the transfer terms then?

Also, I'm not convinced Icardi is the best teammate in the world given how he came to be in a relationship with said wife.

Of all the strikers in the world, why buy one with that sort of baggage? Sell Lukaku fine, just don't bring more trouble into the club.
