No one seems to be talking about Wilfred Ndidi

The question I ask is that we want Ndidi, Maguire, Tielemans, Chilwell and Maddison, from a Leicester team that hardly set the world alight last season. Personally I think Maddison is a number 10 and do we need him. Maguire is overpriced for the amount he will bring and Ndidi is okay, but only that. Tielemans I like and Chilwell would improve us.

Define what you want with better players? Are they better at being a destroyer? Because we need more of that considering we have Pogba. On the other hand, if Pogba leaves then that changes things.
This is a fair point although I think he’d be as or more expensive than Rice.

I’d honestly rather get a bomb of a fee for Pogba and build a more functional midfield and attack at this point. It’s exhausting continually thinking about providing the perfect conditions for our supposed talisman to succeed in as he strolls about the pitch like he doesn’t give a toss.

I think he's a bit underrated when you consider the hype around the likes of Neves and Rice and they are all of a similar age. Apparently recovered possession more times than anyone else. He's no Pogba on the ball but he definitely tries to pass forward more than guys like Gueye and Rice, and he is IMO a better ball carrier than both. If the plan is to play a 4231 he could be a solid addition as one of the two holders.
Thats what I think

I mean, it's really not that hard and it has nothing to do with making it work for Pogba. It's about the team and the team will benefit with a destroyer because Matic is not as good at breaking up plays, and is slow.

If we want a ball winner in front of our defence, then we should be going all out for either Ndidi or Gueye. Both are amongst most tackles and interceptions every season in the Premier League. Fantastic readers of the game.

Agreed re Matic. My point though was that if Pogba isn't here for the long term I'd much rather go after a different profile of player.

I'd hate for us to buy Ndidi if Pogba is leaving in all honesty. You alluded to that yourself. Much rather go for a DLP in that instance to pair with an all-action type like Ndombele.

This is all probably irrelevant though as it seems we're definitely after Rice.

No of course not, we have had a few shitty seasons and are clearly the same level as Leicester now. Good point Jimmy.
because that was my pint wasn't it, not that other more appealing sides might be interested in him

Nobody is talking about him because there are better players that United can attract.
Interesting how long ago I posted that and how it reads like something I would still post today. I wanted him with us as a squad player then. Today, he would fit into our first eleven nicely.

If we do attract better players like you insinuated, Ndidi would still be a great player to bring off the bench.

To those that watch Leicester more than just a few times, who is better between Ndidi and Choudhury? The latter has looked impressive the times I've seen Leicester recently.

Everybody else is talking about literally every other midfielder they have but no mention of him.
Ndidi is ahead of Choudhury at the moment but being that Choudhury appears to be more versatile than Ndidi that could change this season. Brendan Rodgers works well with young players and he make take him to that next level.

I haven't seen evidence of this when I watch him. He's got the legs and the hunger, but I have serious doubts about his passing.

If we're going to a 4-2-3-1 I'm more intrigued by Doucoure, who also isn't a brilliant passer but attracts a ton of attention through the middle by making great runs and linking play with his mobility rather than sitting deep and picking passes.
