The only way we can convince him if we manage to sign Koulibaly, Rice & Coutinho before his arrival, he might be tempted then .

If we're honest another season at Dortmund is the best thing for him regardless of our need and you can see why while we may be his choice of clubs to return to England to he'd be hesitant right now

Do it in 12 months

More than CL football I think Dortmund just won't part with him this season. This summer or next though, barring anything dramatic, I still think we're the main options for him and we just suit each other really well. Chelsea are transfer banned but also I dont think they can or will spend as much, plus they will be hurt this season without Hazard and drop massively. We'll see how it pans out. I just think he'll join United by the end of next summer.

Only to United in prem? Surely thats not true unless he's a United fanboy.
It makes sense really. Liverpool have Mane and Salah, he wont go somewhere he wont play regularly. City have Mahrez as backup to Sterling and Sane, plus he left them. Arsenal cant afford. Spurs cant afford. Chelsea have a transfer ban, plus are on their way to a decline without Hazard, plus haven't been spending anywhere close to as much, plus spent 60m on Pulisic.

United on the other hand is a massive club, he'd have confidence to come in and be the main guy, get the #7, play at OT, at a club that will eventually sort their shit out with all the money they spend to get back up their (plus see himself as the catalyst to do that), get paid loads, etc etc. Not to mention needing a right winger for ages, him already having good friends at the club, and him wanting to go back to the premier league gives us an advantage over the other european clubs for a change. Just think the cards line up nicely for us here, but problem being Dortmund have no reason to sell this summer so it'll likely be next summer.

If Manchester United are actually serious about this, make an offer that gets accepted, offer him a big contract, I just don't see any way he is turning that down.

I think it really comes down to how much we are willing to pay.

We've likely already told him what we'd pay him, it comes down to whether he believes the club are a good match for him. According to the journalists, he felt we were during our winning run but now has doubts because of our instability and no CL football.

If we get our structure sorted and in place in the next few months and start making the right signings, he might lean back towards moving to us, even without CL football, it all boils down to how we sort ourselves out.

When we've had a transition season to get a bit of stability and CL football.

Came here to say this.

All this posturing about CL football and the club being in disarray as reasons not to sign, yet he said he's only interested in United if he comes back to the PL.

Code for "Stick another £100k a week on that and you've got yourself a deal".

A player worth having will be one who sees us not being in the CL as a problem they want to help us solve, not one which scares them away.

Why would we kowtow to players who have such little faith in their own ability to improve the team? I'd rather not have them at United.

You've changed your mind on this one? Previously I remember you thought it was reliant on us getting CL. For what it's worth, I agree with what you're saying. Think a bit of positivity and possibly some other good signings first will convince him. Then it's just dealing with Dortmund but i think they'd be mad to walk away from big money this summer.

He has little faith in the clubs ability to run itself properly. The past 6 years give him plenty of reason to be concerned.

No UCL wasnt the only reason. Signing him alone would solve the issues.

This was based on a convo I had last night, hence the random time it was posted. There's a figure that will see him move but not specifically to us, but anyone who will pay it

Not forgetting Woody is a muppet with an ego to scratch AND considering the alternatives this summer...I’d happily watch him chase Sancho if it kept him occupied and away from Bale.

You're aware of Manchester United right now right?
I’m aware that some of the most reliable journalists in football are stating he is interested. Ornstein and Stone don’t just make stuff up. They’ll have good reason to believe this could happen.

A convo with somebody involved with Sancho? Not sure whether what you're saying is good or bad because it doesn't really paint him in a good light if he's only interested in money and would go anywhere for it.

Unfortunately, Ornstein describes our chances of completing the deal as "highly unlikely".

He'd be too expensive with all the other business we need to do, we need about 10 new first team players

He said it was highly unlikely, and we only have a 50/50 chance of signing him. Something doesn't add up with Ornstein..

Muppet dream... sign Jadon sancho and pair him with another marquee signing like griezmann or Lewandowski or even Pepe up top along with Martial or Rashford on the left flank.

It seems very understandable and what I've been saying for months really. Dortmund have no reason to sell this summer, and theres no reason for him to rush a move after his first season and then leaving next summer. We'll still be interested next summer, and I still think this summer or next summer, we're by far the favourites to sign him. Don't think the situation changes all that much over a year, apart from him probably feeling it's not too soon to move anymore, and Dortmund being OK with moving him on.

Don't think we will be signing him this summer, we have too much work to do to spend 100 million on one player, especially if we are signing Koulibaly.
But the silver lining is it looks like he wants to come here and so we have a good chance of signing him

I think the best solution is to hold back for another season, with assurances to Sancho that we will back for him in 2020. Gives him time to improve his game and we can spend the money on fixing the other numerous gaps in our team. He is still super young anyway...

The way I look at it, it’s now or never for us with Sancho. We pretty much have a free run at him now because of the very few teams who can afford the obscene price Dortmund will place on him, we’re the only ones who actually need him going into next season. 1 season is a long time in football and I suspect that we’ll actually face competition for him in another year especially if he keeps progressing the way he has.
