Writing was on the wall with Valverde. Was so obvious he's a crap manager but last season whenever I said that people came with him winning a domestic double etc.

Crap manager.

This Barca team is the worst since Rijkaards last season. Awful team. How Liverpool didn't drill them 8-0 is beyond me.

Literally don't have a clue. I hope Valverde stays for the next decade. These clowns aren't ever reaching a cl final ever again. The fact that these jokers can walk laliga shows how weak and pathetic LoLiga has become.

Too short bench and too dependent on Messi and Suarez , this is it .

When Messi says goodbye , Barca will suffer similar to how we do after SAF .

Barca still have the aura at Camp Nou. Many teams mentally down 2-0 at kick off.

Away from there they're nothing special.

Ah, oh, that myth again, that neglects the fact that Barça had won a UCL in 2006, two years before Messi's explosion as a GOAT contender, or the fact that Barça has already signed De Jong.

Barca aren't the same team as they were back then and De Jong is more of a successor to Busquets than Messi.

It's absurd to pretend that Barça will struggle to win LaLiga once Messi retires. Sure, Madrid will win Ligas, or Atlético, but LaLiga is not the PL.

UCL, a whole different story, since even Messi is not enough to win the UCL unless the right manager sits on the bench.

You can not call something that possibly can happen in the future a myth.

Oh I don't doubt Barca will keep challenging for the LaLiga, I just found your reasoning behind it a bit off. Either way they need to sack Valverde. If they don't the LaLiga is definitely going to Madrid next season with the spending spree they're planning.

Exactly. Valverde's project peaked in 2018 with the "undefeated liga champions" in April, but it all went downhill after that, including the Roma debacle in the UCL QFs. The Final de Copa 5-0 vs Sevilla was probably the epilogue.

The 2018-19 Liga title has been one long year of tumescent (often struggling) 4-4-2 football with Messi carrying the team forward in a Golden Shoe(Ballon d'Or?)-worthy season. It's almost as if Ronaldinho had scored enough goals to win the 06-07 liga (which he didn't). But Anfield'19 and tonight's Final de Copa should be the nail in the coffin. He's done. The motivation is gone, the ideas are gone, the hunger is gone. Valverde needs to be sacked so another 07-08 doesn't happen.

Yeah, I don't get it. He was smart enough to sack Martino at the end of 13-14 and he let go Lucho when 16-17 was over. Why the staunch support for Valverde? Can't he see that Messi has won this 18-19 Liga, despite Valverde??
I didn't like him then either. I don't like the way the club is run. La masia has been marginzalied, for example.

Barcelona's shortcomings and mistakes should not take anything away from Valencia's performance. They left their hearts and souls on that pitch.

Zidane will be licking his lips if Madrid get Hazard and Mbappe. This Barca team are utter trash. They would probably play better football under Allegri and that's saying something

By the way, in 2013-14 they were pretty bad too. Valverde reminds me of Tata Martino's coaching style. Or lack of one...

Valverde out! Christ, he'd ruin both De Jong and Griezmann (if the signing happens).

His 4-5-1 with Busquets-S.Roberto-Rakitic-Vidal-Coutinho in midfield is the most depressing BS I've seen as a Barça supporter since watching Okunowo and Celades as CBs in 1998.
and Bogarde on the left?
Although I think it is the feeling of many culés it is difficult to sack him.
When was the last time someone sacked a winner? I think it was Madrid with Capello, and his league was completely different.
In addition to winning easily two weeks ago they have reconfirmed him.

I think he had to deal with a problem that Ancelotti also had in Madrid.
Sometimes in the line-ups and in the substitutions it seemed that he was guided by hierarchy, popularity, etc. As if everything was too prefabricated.
I mean, I do not really know what 11 is his favorite and if he would do something different with more freedom
