This might just about be the result of the season so far - puts promotion in County's own hands, but everything probbly depends on the result on 20th April v Chorley away.

Would love to go, but my feelings for County don't extend to £ 600 for a return trip which is what it costs on an Easter weekend.
I used to go a lot when I was a kid. I saw George Best play in a friendly against Fulham and ran on the pitch and patted him on the back.
It was fun watching County on a Friday and then United on the Saturday. Shame what the Sale Sharks guy did to them.
I hope they get back to the league proper soon.

Yeah....Friday nights....Go Go County....Freddie Pye bankrolling everything....Good times....

Incredible to believe that less than 20 years ago, they were playing City in the old Division 2 ( nowadays The Championship ) and were unbeaten in the four matches over two season.

Altrincham are my very loosely fond of non league side. In the same league as Stockport of course and looking good for the playoffs at this stage. Not bad considering they were promoted last season although they've often been one league higher than they are now during my time. Went sometimes in the very early 90s when United were away. A kid in my street gave us some complimentary tickets that he got through his school and me and my dad went back a few times afterwards. I also kind of knew the son of their player/manager at the time. Not a close mate but he lived about 100 yards away and we went to the same school.

FC United look like going down from the same division.

Don't really know much about Stockport but it's good in a way to see them doing well. They're a giant at that level. Don't mind Stockport the place, the town centre has a certain huslte and bustle about it and it's fairly lively. I've been up to Reddish Vale Country Park a few times too. I do remember the strike partnership of Preece and Francis, both a menace in the air from bits and pieces on Granada News or Granada Soccer Night in the 90s. Suppose there's the thing that lots of City fans are said to come from there or that they follow both, but I can forgive Stockport of that.

I was wrongly thinking two go straight up.
I should have known the second place is via the playoffs as my boys wycombe almost went down to non league a few years back

Salford with an 88th minute winner today to win 3-2 at Boreham Wood. Almost had to win considering Leyton Orient won 2-0.

Salford lose 0-1 at home to Fylde, Leyton Orient drew away to Solhull.

Orient 88 +38
Salford 85 +33
Solihull 85 +30

Should be Leyton Orient's title, at home to relegated Braintree on the last day although Braintree have now won 3 in a row.

Salford have to be gutted there!
Although in fairness it saves them from a more gutting second place on goal difference next weekend.

Tough play offs await

Leyton Orient perhaps nervy, currently 0-0 with Braintree deep into the second half.

But Salford have just gone 2-1 down at Hartlepool and are playing with 10 men.

Edit: 3-1 to Hartlepool now. It's Leyton Orient's title.

Let's just hope Salford blow the plays offs now.
Great season for Barrow after a lot of upheaval on and off the pitch. Play some lovely football, just this week signed manager Ian Evatt on 3 year deal and with new owners could be worth a cheeky punt next season.

Salford v Flyde final, 2 cheeks of the same arse. Both financially doped to the eyeballs, i'd be glad to see the back of the pair of them tbh.
Expecting the lowest ever crowd for a play off final.

I watched the highlights on youtube. That win meant an awful lot to the Nevilles. This isn't just a hobby for them.

County was, geographically, the closest League team to me when I lived in England, but I never once went to Edgeley Park.
And yes, in the days when others posted links to Bluemoon, there were always loads of Berties from Stockport.
Yet, I still look for their results.

I live 30mins from Wembley, and while I take a vague interest in Salford's rise, I still can't quite get the enthusiasm to get over there, even for a £20 ticket a guy I know has.
The main train line running doesn't help, but I suppose clicking a button to watch it at home is much easier!

Att of 8000 for the chance to play in the football league. Terrible crowd but just goes to show what artificially doping a club can do. Both Salford and Fylde were playing in the dog and duck leagues in front of 1 man and his dog a few short years ago. Properly run clubs with a budget relevant for the leagues standing don't stand a chance.

The game was played 200 and 250 miles away respectively in fairness!
That's one heck of a trip

But like Man City are finding, you can't just magic fans, however successful you are, and both are pretty damn close to tonnes of huge teams.
I dare say Salford will be adopted as a lot of United fans as a second team when they play on different days.

"pay what you can afford season ticket" that has a minimum price of £150!

How much do any other teams at their level charge?! Bet not many charge more
They seem quite competitive. They and Ashton United got relegated to the Northern Premier League as of next season, the rest are the prices for the sides who finished 3rd-14th in it this season so they'll be playing them. Got bored after that.

Edit: Feck it, I'm doing the lot!

Scarborough Athletic £210 standing/£225 seating
Stafford - £165 standing/£200 seating until end of June - £180/£215 after
Workington Town £210 last season (relegated, not sure who replaces them)
Hednesford ??? £193 last season
Ashton United £180
Witton Albion ??? £180 last season
Warrington Town £175
Stalybridge Celtic ??? £175 last season
Nantwich Town £170 if bought before May 31st, £187 after
Hyde United - ??? £170 standing, £185 seating last season
Whitby Town ??? £165 last season
Matlock £160 until end of July, £180 after
Grantham Town £160
Marine £160 last season (Relegated, not sure who is replacing them)
Bamber Bridge ??? £150 early bird, rising to £160 last season
FC United £150 minimum - pay what you can afford
Gainsborough Trinity - £150 minimum - pay what you can afford
Lancaster City ??? £150 last season
Buxton ??? - £140 early bird price last season, rising to £150
Basford United £130 if bought before May 31st, £150 after
Mickleover Sports ???
North Ferriby ??? (Relegated, not sure who replaces them)

So it's only Buxton who were definitely cheaper last season just finished and Basford confirmed for next season providing you get in early.

Speaking of Buxton, there's a Buxton old codgers XI playing a United old codgers XI on Sunday

You’d be amazed how many people £200 +.

It’s made what happens when you don’t treat your fans like sh*t

How's it looking up the coast mate, relegation must hurt bad. Any news on the stadium?
made a good appointment in Danny grainger, stadium is hanging in the balance after the local elections and labour getting wiped out from the council. reds will most likely start next season at derwent park.
